A Suburb is a named 10 block by 10 block subsection in the city of Malton. There are 100 suburbs in Malton, arranged in a 10 by 10 grid.
In the game, the suburb you are in is given at the top of the 3x3 map showing your immediate environment. There is no special procedure for moving from one suburb to another - simply keep walking and you will find yourself in a new suburb. If your map has fewer than nine squares, you are at one of the boundaries of Malton itself, not simply the boundary of a suburb. |

Reports
- Held up in Urban Alley fire station. Groups of Zombs wandering around, stronger in open areas. Most groups are two or three strong. Bit risky wandering around at the moment: User:Phoenix 'a5c1 October 28 2008
- I'm seeing several zombies wandering the streets, but there's little or no organisation. Moving up to moderate. --Hunter X 11:35, 25 October 2008 (BST)
- Everything is gone down and the Nichols Mall + Went NT is completely destroyed. Upgrade to Very Dangerous. Do not enter for a while. -Lem October 22,2008
- Still looking pretty bad, but there are some signs of survivor activity in the suburb-many buildings have barricades and are repaired. Although the mall and most TRP's are ruined, the balance seems to be tipping. Downgrading to Dangerous. Linkthewindow Talk 09:45, 19 October 2008 (BST)
- Update- another days searching finds a lit NT and at least one of each type of resource building is secure. Zombies appear to be leaving the mall. Linkthewindow Talk 06:36, 20 October 2008 (BST)
- DHPD has been cleaning this section. Al tough there are still a lot of zombies many have been killed... User:Cratus Coruptus/Sig 7:03 PM, 17 October 2008
- Everything is ruined, everything. Extinction is keeping this place dead... Update to Red--/~Rakuen~\Talk I Still Love Grim 01:01, 15 October 2008 (BST)
- Dakerstown is... quiet. And quite safe at the moment (as long as you don't sleep outside), with all TRPs up and less than 40 zombies seen on the streets. Visiting survivors are starting to get restless... ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾᚨᚾᛏ 07:10, 11 October 2008 (BST)
- Downgrade threat level to yellow. Sporadic zombie break-ins still occur. Blesley Mall and most resource buildings restored and powered. M.U.M's the word... Mayor MC Cheese 01:31, 8 October 2008 (BST)
- Blown away, simply gone. With the fall of Fort Perryn and most of the Safe houses, the zombie hordes have dispersed to the surrounding suburbs. Most humans have fled far away to Fryerbank, Penny Heights or even Hollomstown. Angusburger 17:40 6th October 2008.
- Although some of the buildings, mostly in the north including Phllips and Thomas General hospitals have been barricaded and reclaimed, most are unlit and have few survivors.Burdekin Alley Police Department stands alone on the western border of the suburb with perhaps ten survivors.Break-ins in the north of one to three are common, especially the hospitals, and co-ordinated groups of five to ten have been seen tearing down the barricades of those buildings.Perhaps twenty or so others roaming the streets alone or in pairs for an estimated total around forty. The "Hills" are definately not a 'ghost town'.'Moderate' would be more appropriate. --Lt.W.J.Higgins 11:18PM, 02 October 2008 (BST)
Edit:Northern and central Galbraith Hills is filled with undead from the edges of the Ridleybank Resistance Front's horde in Barrville.Infrastructure in the north 75% broken into and ransacked.Philip General and Thomas General hospitals are down.Player killers, some independent and others from notorious player killer groups are moving away from Barrville through this suburb.Survivors either moving to the south or being killed.Very dangerous. --W.J.Higgins 10:29PM,Oct 20,2008 (BST)
- Shearbank is overrun with zombies. Stickling Mall and most of the NecroTechs are ruined, as well as most of the buildings near them. It is recommended that any remaining survivors head for safer ground. Shearbank currently belongs to the zombies. --Pedentic 06:06, 25 September 2008 (BST)
- Overrun with zombie horde of the Ridleybank Resistance Front.75$ of all buildings broken into and damaged to various degrees.Woolsett,Eagan,Nix,and Neagle Necrotech facilities ruined. Most survivors have retreated to other areas or been killed.Members of the death cult "The Gore Corp" active here as well. This suburb is currently a veritable deathtrap. --W.J.Higgins 10:35 PM,Oct.20,2008 (BST)
Suburbs of Note
- Houses the southern half and gatehouse of Fort Perryn, the site of a constant struggle for pride and authority. The Feral Undead's base of operations is here.
- Home of the Ridleybank Resistance Front and suburbs of their claimed territory.
- Home to Caiger Mall, site of four of the largest sieges in UD history. The Malton Iditarod started and finished here.
- Home to the Yagoton Revivification Clinic, one of the largest revivification points in Malton. The Valentine's Day Massacre took place in Southern Yagoton.
- Home to the Eastonwood Ferals and birthplace of the notorious PKer Pathetic Bill, the suburb is since March 06 a very dangerous place for survivors.
- Home to the survivor group the PA Rebel Alliance, based out of Giddings Mall. In mid-September 2005, the PA Rebel Alliance is said to be responsible for the zombie group The Many's greatest defeat. Also failed to lose against The Shining Ones in a seige in May-June 2006. Also home to the Creedy Defense Force.
- Suburb once occupied by a group called DARIS, who made it a policy to eliminate all non-DARIS members within the suburb. It was eventually forced out by a variety of factors, including downright apathy and a possible zerging attack.
