Radio Project

As a reoccurring pirate radio propagandist, I have an interest in identifying all frequencies on which I could put out the good word of barhah. This simple project will help me verify which stations are in use, and which are not. Goal: Tune a radio to each listed frequency, checking if it gets a The static hisses to a clear silence message (implying the radio frequency is in use by at least one transmitter) or a The radio begins to hiss static message (implying no transmitter is currently tuned to that frequency). If I complete this project thoroughly enough, I will be bold enough to indicate or even outright remove unused frequencies from the Radio page without consulting others.

Previous Work

• In 2013, the community contacted groups claiming frequencies, promising to remove frequencies that groups did not respond to claim. However, in 2024, User:Aichon noticed that we never actually removed these frequencies. Oopsie!
• User:Bob Moncrief did a sweep of all frequencies in 2016. The beginnings of this page were stolen from his page. Unlike his project, I do not intend to check frequencies not listed on the Radio page.
• I first tuned into 25.96, the External Military Report frequency, in 2024, but I have never heard a broadcast on it. In 2023, User:Kajetan563 reported similar. Does anyone know if they still broadcast on this frequency? Has anyone heard a broadcast?
• In 2024, I heard broadcasts on 26.00, 26.01, 26.02, 26.03, 26.04, 26.05, 26.17, 26.67, 26.84, 27.53, 27.55, 27.96, 28.01, and 28.28. I consider these confirmed active, and will not be checking them further.
