September 2008

September 21st

Approximately 37 zombies outdoors, with a further 11 counted indoors (10 in the Blackmore Building), makes for an estimated 48 zombies total in the suburb. Given the mass ruination of the area (only 2 hospitals out of the 14 Tactical Resource Points are not ruined), this appears to qualify as a Ghost Town, given the danger level descriptions. As such, and without any other evidence to go on, I'm changing the danger level. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 22:54, 21 September 2008 (BST)

This is not a ghost town. Shoppers from the newly opened Nichols Mall are moving into the area and making it look nice. Also, the group of zombies in and around Blackmore qualify as a horde. --Ronny Billcraft 01:38, 22 September 2008 (BST)

September 14th

Most buildings ruined, lots of zombies, the usual stuff. However, to ratify its place in the pro-survivor grouplist in Ridleybank, the Umbrella Corporation has send a small strike force, which managed to retake and lighten up the Blackmore Building. The barricades are holding, ...for now. *in await of the inevitable barhar*--MisterGame 23:11, 13 September 2008 (BST)

Survivors have started to fight in Ridleybank, though there is no real leadership. Headway is being made and the Blackmoore building recently returned to survivor hands. Though it's doubtful how long it will last. USAI (AWOL) Officer Conrad

It is no longer safe to travel through Ridleybank. As of this post there was a single standing hospital but no one should venture there. There was a horde of a dozen zombies outside with an unconfirmed amount of survivors inside. Ridleybank is not safe, going through there will likely result in your death--Epicramen 21:00, 30 July 2008 (BST)Epicramen

Thanks to the combined efforts of Umbrella Corporation and several survival groups in the area Ridleybank was returned to a green suburb. Sorry to those who were notified but were too late to get any action, still 9 zeds outside Blackmore and break-ins are regular, but overall less than 25 zeds in whole suburb and more than 95% of buildings remain standing throughout the day. Still don't recommend being outside for too long...--Jackson 01:19, 22 May 2008 (BST)

As dawn turned to dusk and hours passed so did a wave of lead. The moans of zeds and cries of zombie cultists could be heard across the suburb as survivors organized and put the hurt on. Currently only 18 zeds standing outside the Blackmore Building but break-ins are frequent at resource buildings. More than 90% of the suburb is standing all thats left is to clear out the zed population before the suburb can be an honest green.--Jackson 23:34, 18 May 2008 (BST)

Well, a quick scout on the NecroNet shows barely any zombies in the area. The biggest horde is outside of Blackmore, numbering 37. Other than that, scattered, uncoordinated groups. 46 total scanned in the suburb. Looks as if the RRF hasn't shown themselves yet. --PpSmrf207 01:44, 9 May 2008 (BST)

Cades everywhere, lack of zombies, largest horde is 13 outside Blackmore and break ins are rare. This suburb is safe. We all know it won't stay that way for long, but for now, that's how things are rolling.--DDRJake 00:33, 5 May 2008 (GMT)
What? Safe? What ever happened to the Ridleybank Resistance Front? Did they disband or something? -- Kilt Store Owner 5 May 2008.
I believe the RRF is currently sweeping through southern Malton, with Moloch at the head of course, after he was killed in Buckley Mall. They'll be back soon enough. The idea is to set up enough of a fortification that they'll have a hard time retaking this suburb, if they do at all. Coldfront 03:22, 5 May 2008 (BST)
I've got a report to the same effect- the only building in town which isn't in great shape is St. George's Hospital, and the largest group of zombies is 17 strong (probably more like 30, once some of the 27 nearby bodies stand up). Downgrading to moderate.--FT MCI 06:36, 5 May 2008 (BST)

All resource buildings are 'caded and powered with decent survivor numbers. The largest horde is 25 outside the Blackmore Building. --Lardass 15:21, 3 May 2008 (BST)
Ridleybank is deserted, and I confirm also that the largest is outside Blackmore. Seems like the survivors have setup shop and seem comfy there for the time being. -- THELORDGUNSLINGER 02:31, 4 May 2008 (BST)

April 2008

April 30
There are 13 zombies outside the Blackmore right now. Which means Ridely's technically not a ghost town... But that group outside the Blackmore is the only substantial mob in the whole suburb. In total I counted, still, just over 40 zombies in the streets. Meanwhile, though much of the south side is 'cade strafed or better, most of the north is ruined; in total, well over 1/2 the burb is ruined... --WanYao 03:21, 30 April 2008 (BST)
April 27
Despite the previous report, the Blackmore is powered and EHB and has been for a couple days, now. The kilt-wearing survivors inside have been exposing themselves at the handful of zombies that are in the area before opening fire. I'm not sure in what world 45 zombies in an entire suburb qualifies as "Very Dangerous," but despite the relatively low survivor presence, much of the southern half of the suburb is now barricaded to at least some degree or another. --Gregory 02:03, 28 April 2008 (BST)
Sorry, but I just made a scout, blackmore is the only powered building, apart from that at least 2/3rd of the suburb is ruined. I'm taking this back to red. The man 16:50, 28 April 2008 (BST)
Using that formula, I updated it to ghost town. There are fewer than sixty zombies, and the largest horde (outside the NT) is six. Very dangerous only applies to massive hordes and zombies occupying most resource buildings. --Goolina The Kilt Store 20:54, 28 April 2008 (BST)
Oh I am so stupid! How could I forget about the ghost town rating? meh.... Anyway, Thanks for correcting the danger levels. The man 13:57, 30 April 2008 (BST)

It would seem that in a mass effort to survive from the wrath of the dead, a huge number of survivors have managed to sneak their way into Ridleybank unnoticed! In fact, every single building is now powered and barricaded! The RRF are simply stunned at how this could posibly have happened! its incredible, its unbelievable, its April fools muthaf**ka!!!! The man 15:50, 1 April 2008 (BST)
Though not every building is powered as of this report survivors seem to have established a beachhead in Ridleybank. With More and more suburbs going red maybe it's time humans turn this zombie hometown into a bastion of hope for those survivors who are beginning to lose hope. Just throwing the idea out there.--Rico Montoya 01:50, 2 April 2008 (BST)

March 2008

March 26th
I happened to have a disposable alt in Ridleybank, so I took him on an extensive tour of the borough. The alt doesn't have memories of life, so I couldn't go inside some buildings... Still, I only counted only about 50 zomies -- including 9 inside the Blackmore, the only large concentration of zombiews in the area. And I went all over the suburb. And I took pictures...

Passing through central Ridleybank, [10], on a North to South course, I have to say that I saw very few zambahz in the streets. The largest concentration I encountered was, unsprisingly, at the Blackmore Building.[11][12]. Now I am certainly not going to advocate changing Ridley's status to "Ghost Town" on such incomplete evidence. But.... --WanYao 16:51, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

January

January 27, '08 Blackmore is doomed with 20 zombies inside (hence no cades, genny or radio) and about 50 survivors all infected. Time to say goodbye to the abstract paintings + stuffed alligators and prepare for reviving everyone including a few zombies who say mrh as you leave. No doubt some Zombie will want to say something like "gabagabhagrharh Barah" under this report. --Fernley 01:22, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Zombie numbers inside Blackmore have risen past thirty, and survivor numbers have dropped to roughly the same amount. The last healthy harman has been infected, and the zombies are starting to brandish bananas. Survivors are advised to run like hell and keep a tight grip on their pants. --James Ennis 02:12, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

January 25, '08

Blackmore now going on third week of being in survivor control. NT powered, fully caded with 100+ zeds outside. Despite new rule changes, survivors fighting valiantly to thwart zed break ins and send them back out within minutes. Surrounding area mostly caded and powered. Ridleybank is looking better than many of the surrounding suburbs and relatively calm compared to other areas. ----UCSBrandon 21:40, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
NecroWatch reported from the Blackmore Building revealing that there were 163 zombies within scanning range of the facility. Of these numbers, 107 zombies were detected assaulting the Blackmore facility directly, 10 zombies were at Blomfield Grove PD, 7 zombies were at Moggridge Place PD, and at 6 zombies were at St. Theodore's Church. Of course since St. Theodore's Church is considered an indoor revive point not all of those zombies may be hostile. --Mobius187 21:32, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

January 22, '08

Z population has gone up since my last report, but the only major horde is the Blackmore. There are only 2 or 3 ruins I see. A scan from blackmore counts 100 at blackmore, and 2 other mobs in the teens, and about 20 other zeds(liberal count). It is truly a sad day for the RFF, when it's capital falls. I mantain my previous statement, as I sleep with no fear in Ridleybank tonight. BoboTalkClown 21:48, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to point out that the RRF is somewhere else at this moment, leaving a bunch of uncoordinated zombies behind.-- Mordac the Refuser 00:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Anyways, Blackmore has 105 survivors and 95 zombies, with 67 bodies outside. Nearby revive points are filled with career zombies and dead survivors alike.--Xshu 04:11, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

January 21, '08

Seeing the reports, this burb should be orange.I have been there myself and there is no horde above 150! A horde is a group of active zombies around the same area, not all dead (standing or lying) spread around a entire area. And even counting using Grims way I didn't come to 150. Also most buildings are barricaded and lit.--Nemesis Omega 20:23, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Link doenst work anymore, but I have seen it though and I doubt that most of those dead bodies ever stand up. After some much assaults on Blackmore, I think alot of those dead bodies are inactive. Show me a link where there are atleast 120 zeds standing. I doubt the survivors kill 80 zeds (amount of lying dead) in a day at Blackmore--Nemesis Omega 07:14, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Blackmore Powered, Fully Caded, not a ruin in sight. No zombies at all, but the 100+ at Blackmore. I suggest the suburb become orange, at least. BoboTalkClown 16:51, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
I agree with the change of the suburb danger level. After doing a tour, there is only one zombie horde that is over 50 - many buildings are back up and barricaded as well. --Ryiis 17:08, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

January 19, '08

Ridleybank is obscenely safe for the living at the moment with the RRF out of town. The only "horde" is the group attacking the Blackmore Building, and no ruins are in sight. In short, the zombie homeland looks like Trenchie central. That doesn't mean survivors should sleep outside, though. My zombie alt clawed one idiot to death and severely wounded another at Gaskell Lane. The second survivor is still asleep if anyone is peckish for a late night snack... --TerminalFailure

A NecroNet report posted by NecroWatch from the Blackmore Building indicate that there are 149 zombies within scanning range. Of these numbers, and to no one's surprise, 113 zombies are shown assaulting the Blackmore facility itself. Only a handful of buildings in the eastern regions have cades up. Most buildings have zombies inside and out. Despite previous reports I have seen 1-5 zombies at most buildings, 1-2 in "revive" locations. (Good Luck!) It only "appears" to be a ghost town. The suburb is empty small numbers of zombies are around inside and outside of buildings. every building i came across was a mess doors open, zombies inside and the building ransacked i have managed to keep a building at EHB but thats only because of the low amount of zombies outside my doors i plan to move to a safer location soon!
  • November 21
The Second Battle of Blackmore is entering a new phase. Survivors are losing people at an increasing rate and the zombies outside are organized into strike teams that are proving extremely effective, getting through the doors in groups as large as 30 while survivor numbers are too low to throw them out quickly. At least 50 survivors have been killed today alone and it's unclear how many will be revived before the zombies strike again tomorrow. There are currently 230 zombies outside Blackmore and 120 survivors- as well as 30 zombies- inside.
Also, the revive zone has been moved inside St. Theo's church, due to popular demand and general tactics which, given the above, will hopefully serve a purpose.
Update: As of this writing, the Blackmore Building has been cleared of survivors and ransacked.
  • November 18
The Battle of Blackmore intensifies. The last days have seen a significant rise in zombie numbers. This can be explained as the zombie presence outside Nichols Mall, in neighbouring Stanbury Village, has dropped to zero. Inside the Blackmore Building are now 209 survivors.
  • November 17
Despite the rumors of barricade strafing, most buildings in Ridleybank have survivors in them, while it is true that a majority of the 5/11 force is in the Blackmore Building. In other news, zombie numbers are rising as well.
Update: Survivors inside the Blackmore Building are down to 199, there are still 2 zombies present. The barricades are standing at lightly, today just may be the second fall of the Blackmore.
Another update: Any news on the current status of the Blackmore Building should be considered out of date as, as soon as it's posted, the situation has changed.

With the fall of Caiger Mall zombies in Ridleybank can be seen celebrating furiously, whether it be outside the Blackmore Building, inside Blomfield Grove Police Department or in other buildings where they're chomping brains. Zombie spirits are reported to be high, and expected to rise as survivor numbers increase.
If you like exact numbers, There are 219 survivors inside the Blackmore Building, and several more throughout the area. Zombie numbers are un-known, however break-ins are extremely frequent, and I really don't recommend staying inside the building.
  • November 9
There are a reported 206 survivors in the Blackmore Building with 141 zombies outside. Nichols Mall is claimed to be in human hands with latest reports suggesting there are 150 survivors inside.

Sadly, I must confirm the fall of Blackmore. After a two-day trek from Giddings, I arrived to find no standing humans. Instead there were 189 zombies wandering around the lobby and cubicles smashing anything they could get their claws on. I high-tailed it out of there before they noticed me and I am now searching north for some survivors. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I bear this news...
PS- i too wandered north after the fall of Blackmore in search of more survivors. My search was motivated more by hunger and a desire for fresh brain than charity, and as for heart, well... it hasn't pumped in a week. Regardless, my point is that the north up to Roachtown appears (to me) to be just as devoured as Blackmore. But if you hold still reefmaster, i can take care of those guilt issues with a little undeadness!
  • October 13th, 2006
Note the date Blackmore fell, Friday the 13th!!!!!!
As of 17:20 GMT, all harman resistance in the Blackmore Building has ceased. The doors are open, the place is ransacked, all harmanz have left for less decaying pastures, and 200 zombies have taken up residence inside... i do not feel premature in calling this battle over. And yes, i can almost see the posts in two days about how wrong i am...
At 15:50 GMT, the Blackmore Building was ransacked.
By approximately 15:30 GMT, 150+ zombies are inside Blackmore with under 20 survivors still holding ground. Close to 300 zombies are outside the building as well. Looks like Friday the 13th has been an unlucky day for the survivors in blackmore.
By approximately 13:30 GMT, 123 zombies in Blackmore, 57 standing survivors remain. Horde of approximately 300 zombies outside.
By approximately 11:00 GMT, 61 zombies stand inside the Blackmore Building barricades, and at least 30 more survivors have been slaughtered.
As of this moment (8:26 GMT) the Blackmore Building has been breached by a mob of 31 zombies. It appears they struck when the fewest defenders were available, allowing them to force their way in and kill several survivors without suffering significant losses. 156 survivors currently defend the building.
  • October 12th, 2006
The Blackmore Building remains besieged, with around 200 survivors fending off increasingly common breakins by around 300 zombies. However, nearby buildings are reportedly also under attack, now: the Rogers Building northeast of Blackmore was attacked with more than 20 survivor casualties. This could suggest new coordination among the attacking hordes.
  • October 10th, 2006
The Ridleybank Resistance Front seems to have ceased organized opposition to the survivors in the Blackmore Building. Ferals continue to make many small break-ins, and the zombie pack outside Blackmore is near 300 again.
  • October 8th, 2006
As of this message time, there are 280 standing zeds outside of blackmore, 200 more on the ground, 50 in the revive point, and another 25 in the other 7 surrounding squares. Discontent and hunger among the hordes have led to widespread zombie on zombie combat.
  • October 5th, 2006
More than 300 zombies now stand outside the Blackmore Building, which is defended by almost 200 survivors holed up within. Barricade strength is highly variable, with small breakins occurring fairly frequently. The revive queues around the battle reportedly continue to lengthen, but the number of survivors defending Blackmore is apparently increasing, and a contingent from Caiger Mall is said to be arriving to help.
Over night the population has risen an additional 30 or 40 survivors to exactly 210 survivors inside Blackmore, and it would seem that the arrive200 and most of the BBB have been hard at work with zombies down just as many to 284 outside. The battle seems to only be heating up with nearly hourly breakins ranging from 2 to 10 zombies at each attempt but the survivors continue to valiently hold with no foreseeable end in sight for this historic seige, now being chronicled by the Channel 4 News Team as the Battle of Blackmore.
  • October 4th, 2006
Approximately 300 zombies stand outside the Blackmore Building, with 170+ survivors inside. At least 60 zombies are reportedly standing in review queues, while survivor reinforcements are rumored to be arriving from Caiger Mall and Tynte Mall.
  • October 3rd, 2006
A significant zombie incursion into Blackmore occurred this morning; reports put its strength at between 35 and 40 zombies. The break-in was repelled within a few hours; survivor numbers afterwards were, according to various reports, between 110 and 160. Approximately 260 zombies now stand outside Blackmore.

The CC operation was, according to The Cannonball Crew "in fact a trick to lure the RRF into defending Ridleybank instead of Barrville. Only a handful of Cannonballs ever entered the suburb, but along with unaffiliated survivors and a mystery group (who prefers not to be named), the humans were able to barricade a good portion of the suburb." Zombies have been seen tearing down the recently erected barricades and The Cannonball Crew has apparently withdrawn from their current operation.
  • June 13, 2006
The Cannonball Crew claims to have begun an invasion of Ridleybank. They initially faced some criticism because they claimed the Loose Cannons and the Ridleybank Assault Team had joined them. Although the Canonball Crew has invited these groups, it is unclear whether any members from either team chose to participate.

Town is completely in zombah hands, though there are a few who are trying to spend the night by going in and barricading as much as possible.

April 2006

  • April 30, 2006
Ridleybank is found to be a complete ghost town following several changes in the game and the wildly successful RRF EXCURSION. The suburb is unquestionably in zombie hands- except for the occasional randomly spawned humans, it is difficult to find anyone alive in Ridleybank.
  • April 10, 2006
Since it hasn't been fixed yet: The Revivication Front was an April Fool's Joke. RRF is still eating brainz. Fixed on known groups.

March 2006

  • March 31, 2006
The Ridleybank Resistance Front is now the The Ridleybank Revivification Front. The Blackmore Building will be kept open as a revive point for brain rotted RRF members.
  • March 15, 2006
The streets of Ridleybank are emptied as The RRF begin their EXCURSION, and unite their entire force for an attack on Fort Creedy. Caution is still advised within the suburb.

February 2006

  • February 24, 2006
Zombie players report that Ridleybank is again "almost completely in zombie hands",with no survivor groups able to claim a permanent position in the suburb. The situation closely resembles that of mid-December 2005, where those survivors still operating against the RRF were forced to rely on guerrilla attacks via free-running channels from neighboring suburbs.
  • February 22, 2006
After the Gingerbread Men and other human survivor groups seem to have been largely cleared out (and some of the GBM have moved on to become the Gingerbraaains) , Paradox stages an assault on the suburb.
  • February 18, 2006

  • February 16, 2006
Reports are recieved of a group known as The Last Crusade entering the suburb. Their aims are stated as "to force out the Infidels and reclaim the holy land." Various groups have committed men to this operation, it currently numbers 20-25 Crusaders.
  • February 14, 2006
A majority of control is still claimed by the Gingerbread Men, an assertion contested by The Ridleybank Resistance Front. No clear signs of progess show for either side, as the RRF report that upon removal of the barricades, many of the EHB buildings are found empty, only for the barricades to return within hours.
  • February 5, 2006
The Gingerbread Men controversially invade Ridleybank, barricading every building to Extremely Heavily Barricaded. They go on to claim control of the suburb, renaming it as The Candyland.
This claim is strongly disputed by the still firmly established Ridleybank Resistance Front - who maintain that the GBM are breaking prior agreements in relation to the nature of the attack - specifically that the GBM are not staying within the suburb.

Santa has brought an early present for the Ridleybank zombies as, for the first time in over a month, the balance of power in the suburb seems to favor the Dead.
According to the Cerberus Recon Squad, at the moment only about 10% of the buildings are under human control (Map). This contrast strongly with the recent situation in the region where, for instance, barricades reached an all-time high on December 5 when 50 out of 66 buildings were fortified. Therefore, for the time being, Ridleybank seems back into zombie claws but the future of the suburb as the "Land of the Dead" remain uncertain. - Carnivore

Petrosjko and many members of The Ridleybank Resistance Front travel one block south of Ridleybank to participate in the Stanstock! Protest Strike at Whetcombe Park after calling for a general strike saying that Enough is enough. Stanstock looks to become the biggest gathering of dead bodies ever to lie in Stanbury Village -- and perhaps all of Malton! Thousands of zombies and human survivors alike converge for peaceful protest, revelry, kumbarhahya'ing, and inactivity in Whetcombe Park. Speak Truth to Power, leave guns and whining at home, and Respect the fact that many of the bodies (formerly human or zombie) lying in Whetcombe Park have vowed never to stand up again until Zombies get a fair shake. In accordance with their agreement with the RRF of only killing and headshotting brain-rotted members of the RRF, the Gingerbread Men retreat from Ridleybank in order not to hurt the feral zombie population who are not going on strike.
  • December 14, 2005
As the zombie presence in Ridleybank increases, the death toll rises.
"Ridleybank is overrun, the northeast, northwest, and southeast quadrents contain at least one hundred zombies each. Southwest is a little better, but it's still nasty in there. Ridleybank is currently the most dangerous suberb in Malton. ...Abandon hope all ye who enter here..." - Crane 12:22, 14 Dec 2005 (GMT)

The Ridleybank Resistance Front retreats from Caiger Mall, with new orders to return to Ridleybank in response to the arrival of The Gingerbread Men, the RLA and several other human groups who entered the suburb.
"As thieves in the night, the harmanz have assaulted our home while we were away. Unlike the Caigers, these scandalous cowards do not meet us in the field, and they deserve no honor, no justice, no mercy... Let us return to Ridleybank, our home, and let us kill them all." - Petrosjko - [13]
"The Ridleybank Liberation Army prepares its defenses and laughs at zombie presumptuousness." - Argus Blood of the the Ridleybank Liberation Army

November 2005

  • Mid to Late November, 2005
With The Ridleybank Resistance Front largely occupied fighting survivors outside their home suburb, mostly at Caiger Mall, a movement to retake Ridleybank has formed. Enough survivors to make the suburb safe for habitation in spite of the few remaining zombies' best efforts moved in, and due to their extensive barricading the suburb is filled with safehouses and no longer particularly dangerous. However, most of the survivor forces responsible for the barricading do not expect to be able to hold once the RRF returns from Caiger Mall. More recently arrived and more organized survivor groups, most notably the outspoken Ridleybank Liberation Army, disagree and boldly trumpet their intention to hold Ridleybank against the returning RRF hordes.
