Suggestion description
Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulants
Location:
- Mall Drug stores (20%/30%)
- Hospitals (17%)
- Necrotech Facilities (15%)
- Police Stations (10%)
- Schools (3%)
- Arms (2%)
Encumbrance: 2%
Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulants will double the APs of the user; however, the user will receive 1HP of damage per AP spent as the drug taxes the physiology of the user. Using a First Aid Kit will alleviate the damage, but will also annul the effects of the stimulant.
Users must possess the Lab Experience skill to successfully use this item, as recognition of a Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulant requires experience in the field. Those not possessing this skill will not have their AP doubled and will assume 2HP of damage per AP spent; also, his or her actions will become unpredictable until a First Aid Kit is utilized.
For instance, a user without the Lab Experience skill who ingests the stimulant might attempt to attack a zombie but attack his or her fellow player instead. He or she might attempt to move north, only to move southeast. He or she might attempt to speak, instead transmitting a radio broadcast filled with nonsensical banter.
Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulants will cure an infection from a zombie's Infectious Bite, regardless of a player possessing the Lab Experience skill.
A player may choose to use a Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulant on an injured party. The subject who receives the Stimulant will see who administered it to them only if possessing the Lab Experience skill, and will suffer the effects of the Stimulant when he or she takes their next AP. The party will see a message: " ------ injected you with a Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulant." The subject then has the option to use a First Aid Kit immediately and suffer no ill effects.
If a subject does not possess the Lab Experience skill, his or her behavior will become unpredictable with their next AP taken without warning. If he or she uses a FAK, the effects will cease. If not, the effects will last until he or she runs out of HP or finds a First Aid Kit, the same as if infected with Infectious Bite.

Keep/Take to Discussion - The mechanics seem kinda.... iffy... although I suppose you added the HP loss in order to counter the extra number of AP's. One thing though, wouldn't this mess with IP Hits? --Private Mark 23:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Removed, Grim has pointed out significant issues on the possibility of abuse. --Private Mark 01:41, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - simplify the mechanics, usable on self not others, last a fixed amount of AP like 25 but a nice addition. --Cpt Masterson 00:33, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Kill
- Kill Why? can you take more than one at a time? If i inject another do they lose hp per ap. How will they know theyve been given this. How do you administer it? Make them swallow it? inject it? Because I think injecting people takes more than one AP. 15% in necrotechs? Are you diluting the chances of me finding needles.Do'nt mess with others AP even positively. As Grange Hill Said "Just say no." Listen to Zammo. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Kill/Needs some work - As others. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Needs Some Work - Oh, hell. I liked the beginning! But adverse effects on other players would be so unbalanced for player killers. That would be the worst. Also, why would you need a skill to use the item if people can use on you, and you would still be messed up worse? No no, this needs a lot more work. But just letting you know, you are on the right path. --Vandurn 21:54, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Kill- Ummm, so can it be used more than once a day? If so that gives virtually unlimited AP. Can you die from it? Can zombies also benefit/suffer from it? How are you going to make this balanced since zombies cannot search or use them? Also 100 AP is ridiculous. -- BKM 01:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Kill -- My vote could become a change if the suggestion is refined. Saying that I think it needs a serious nerf as getting a pure survivor buff through would be hard. Nerf it and make it an RP item. -- Iscariot 03:22, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

- I know this will get blanked, but the irony is just too delicious. Nalikill berates someone for not reading the suggestion even though "A player may choose to use a Pharmaceutical Grade Stimulant on an injured party.". Direct quote. Who fails reading comprehension now? -- Iscariot 03:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

- Abomination Spamination, with extra Spam. Double AP? Hahahahahahaaaaaaaa. Ha. Oh, wait - you were serious? --Funt Solo QT 22:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Spam - Humans are already so far ahead in the AP war that they are impossible to catch, and now you want to double their daily ap, for the pesky expense of using a few of those 50 new ap a day searching for FAK's with which to heal yourself up at the end of the days play? Thats retarded. Nearly as retarded, is Nalikill saying "Take it to talk" in the KEEP section. Lets do some maths shall we: Search rates are high enough that humans would find them pretty often in malls, in the same place as finding FAK's. Assume Bodybuilding and First Aid. Human uses first of 50ap to take one, doubling his ap. He now has 98ap. He runs around shooting things, searching for ammo, barricading, stopping for a full heal half way before dosing himself again, then radio spamming or defacing monuments and making sure he returns home so he arrives at 10ap. he then proceeds to heal himself up to full health. This would give humans the equivelent of about 70ap per day, as opposed to a zombies typical 42 (And it increases to about 80 per day if a survivor *GASP* metagames inefficiently. Metagaming sensibly would render humans permenantly having 96 Ap daily, as they would heal each other, not themselves). Given zombies are so far behind humans in the ap war already we cant even see the cloud of dust they are kicking up (Ap imbalance inherent in ruin and barricades fuck us, and the fact humans can get on their feet for less ap than it takes us to kill them is nasty as well) this is a terrible idea that cannot be salvagaed in any way. The fact that you can apply it to others renders this more thoroughly broken than humpty dumpty would be if he fell onto a neutron star. This suggestion cannot be saved, it cannot be redeemed, and anyone voting keep on this suggestion has demonstrated more convincingly than i ever could have done alone that they are fools completely oblivious to the concepts upon which the game is balanced. --The Grimch U! - Spam I actually, kinda, liked the idea. But that was only a teeny tiny bit. This is mondo overpowered towards survivors. Zombies can't use something THIS powerful?--Pesatyel 03:19, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
