20080401 Tossing a player from the building.

Richard of Earth 10:18, 1 April 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
A new series of attack actions.

Suggestion scope
Survivors.

Suggestion description

Survivors should be able to toss undesirables (like PKers or simply noisy survivors) into the street or perhaps hold them back from the other survivors, or perhaps even keep them from entering the building.

Make these changes:

Add a counter to each character called "Toss Points" (TPs). A player's TP can range from 60 to -60.
Add a 1 AP action "Attack (player name) with a push (100%, 1 TP)". This action is always 100% successful. If Player A spends an AP to push Player B, Player B's toss points increases by 1. More then 1 player can push someone and players can repeatedly push. A player can push self, 1 AP for 2 TP.
Add a 1 AP action "Attack (player name) with a pull (100%, -1 TP)". This action is always 100% successful. If Player A spends an AP to pull Player B, Player B's toss points decreases by 1. More then 1 player can pull someone and players can repeatedly pull. A player can pull self, 1 AP for -1 TP.
Survivors can push and pull inside or outside the building.
Only survivors with Body Building can push or pull the TP past 50 or -50.
Suppose a number, 10% to 100%, reflecting the level of the barricade on the building. 10% being the doors wide open and 100% being the highest level of barricading that someone can be pushed thru. Call this number the barricade percentage.
If a push action results in the survivor's TP being greater then their current HP times the barricade percentage (divided by 100) rounded up, The survivor is ejected into the street.
So, a survivor at 30 HP in a building at 40% barricades gets pushed from 12 TP to 13 TP, he is ejected.
If a survivor with negative TP trys to attack another survivor, his percentage change of success is reduced proportionately to how negative his TP is. It should be 0% if TP is less then the negative of his current HP. This works inside or outside the building. The survivor still uses AP for attempting the attack.
TP does not effect attacks on zombies. Zombies do not affect TP. Zombie's TP is always 0.
Leaving a building block (or blocks if the building is more then 1 block) resets your TP to 0. (So moving around inside or ouside a mall doesn't effect the player's TP.)
Suggested messages seen by other players (the nearest 50):
A push resulting in a positive TP shows "Player A attempts to push Player B into the street".
A pull resulting in a negative TP shows "Player A attempts to pull Player B back away from the other survivors".
A push resulting in a negative TP shows "Player A attempts to push Player B past the other survivors".
A pull resulting in a positive TP shows "Player A attempts to pull Player B back into the building".
A self-push resulting in a positive TP shows "Player attempts to push past the barricades into the street".
A self-pull resulting in a negative TP shows "Player attempts to back away from the street and other survivors".
A self-push resulting in a negative TP shows "Player attempts to push past to the other survivors".
A self-pull resulting in a positive TP shows "Player attempts to get back into the building".

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - Interesting. This might prove useful.--Luke Skywalker 17:15, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep - This is both really well thought out, and will never get in, so let me throw my two cents in. Yes, it's stupid, but it brings a new level of realistic stupidity to the game. "Duels" almost. --Vandurn 20:42, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Keep - This idea is stupid, badly conceived and would crap up the game ridiculously like you wouldn't believe. Therefore I am 100% in favour of it, because it'd be hilarious. カシュー, ザ ゾンビ クィーン (ビープ ビープ) ;x You rated this wiki '1'! Great job, go hog wild! @ 21:53, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Keep -I can't understand a word you are saying. I am so confused I just voted for it. I ran out of fingers and toes around the 2nd paragraph...--Airborne88Zzz1.JPGT|Z.Quiz|PSS 06:12, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  5. Keep - I only got as far as the title, but by gum, pushing folks out of windows would be amusing. Crivens! --Karloth Vois

  1. Keep tl;dr otherwise awesome --Riseabove 10:44, 4 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Keep - YAH! I can throw trenchcoaters into crowds of hundred of zombies! YAAAH! --The Gecko PKer 03:18, 5 April 2008 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - This is horribly overcomplicated. It is also rather AP inefficient. People would rather spend their AP on more useful actions such as searching, barricading, etc. If there is an undesirable in the building simply ignore them or kill them.--Dr Doom86Phoenix2.gif T PSS 10:25, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - Overcomplicated, also can be used for griefing. I see no clear point of this suggestion. --  13:12, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill - Just plain ridiculous. -- Nitro378 17:10, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  4. Kill - Too complex. --Pgunn 18:24, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  5. kill - i dont think so, why does this only address throwing survivors outside and not zombie as well? i would be more interested in throwing them outside --Scotw 19:34, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  6. kill - Hey a suggestion I don't like, yup it's April Fools all right.--Jamie Cantwel3 23:22, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  7. Kill - Just kill people and dump them outside. --PdeqTalk* 23:40, 1 April 2008 (BST)
  8. Kill - Maybe make it so humans could only push zeds, but this only makes it easier for PKers.--Wesker of Umbrella 01:58, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  9. Kill - As above/below. --LH779 03:27, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  10. Kill Waaay too complicated, although it would be extremely funny. Also- TP??!! Hahaha. I have TP. User:Jordan Salafack » JS talk contribs » 05:13, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - You've clearly put a lot of work into this but it's too complicated and most players would probably just kill the undesirable.--Studoku W! 20:45, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill - no, sir. Just no.--KF 23:36, 2 April 2008 (BST)
  13. Kill - don't make griefers suck more--CorndogheroT-S-Z 23:45, 2 April 2008 (BST)

  10. Hormel Meat Product - If it isn't an April Fool's Joke, then it's one more way for idiots to abuse something in the game and use it for griefing. The game has more than enough of that as it is.--Kolechovski 23:08, 1 April 2008 (BST)
