This page is for the election of Bureaucrats.
Rules
- Rules for starting an election.
- When a Bureaucrat resigns, or loses his status due to demotion or inactivity an election is started immediately.
- A Bureaucrat that hasn't made a single edit in one month is considered to be inactive and forfeits their status as bureaucrat.
- After 3 months with no elections on a bureaucrat position, an election is called for the bureaucrat position longest without an election.
- If, for any reason, an individual Bureaucrat position hasn't faced an election after 12 months, then an election is called after that period.
- The election ends after two weeks wiki time counting from the when the election is started.
- The candidate with the most votes wins the election.
- In the event of a tied vote the remaining bureaucrats will decide between the tied candidates.
- Rules concerning candidates
- All active users with the sysops status are automatically declared candidates for any vacant Bureaucrat positions.
- Users with at least 12 edits in the 30 days before the election are considered "active" for purposes of the election.
- The Bureaucrat whose position comes up for election if said election is started under rule 2 of Rules for starting an election is automatically declared a candidate.
- Unless said otherwise, a bureaucrat who lost its powers through demotion cannot run for bureaucrat on the election that will fill its position
- A candidate can retract his own candidacy at any time.
- Rules concerning voting.
- All users have only one vote per bureaucrat position to be filled.
- Users vote for a candidate by signing under the preferred candidates name.
- Users can't cast more than one vote per candidate.
- Users may change their votes for a candidate as long as the election has not ended.
- Multiple votes at the same time will be struck.
- Sockpuppetry is considered vandalism.

Eligible Candidates
Boxy
- when will boxy get permanent crat status ? --People's Commissar Hagnat [talk] [wcdz] 14:35, 11 July 2010 (BST)
- As Hag. =p -- Cheese 14:45, 11 July 2010 (BST)
- Vote for Boxy or the entire world wiki collapse in on itself!
- Boxy won't quit. His last 500 edits came at a rate of 2.55 per day. He is not near inactivity, in fact he's far from it. We don't want a crat who's at the peak of a short career of countless edits, we want one who we can count on avoiding inactivity for their whole reign. And Boxy has been here since 2006. There is no chance of his quitting anytime soon.
- Boxy had a perfectly good opportunity to pull off a coup, and he wasted it. Thus, we can be certain the he won't try anything. But all these people who have never been crat before never had that chance. For all we know, every single one of them plans to demote everyone else and delete every single page and image on the entire wiki.
- Boxy is fireproof. Other candidates might not burst into flame, but they will, every time, crackle and release more sparks than were lain upon them. Boxy sucks up sparks like a vacuum and douses them in
the blood of his enemieswater. - No one hates Boxy. If boxy is elected crat, some people will be mildly upset, but only because he beat their preferred candidate. Everyone else has developed enemies on the wiki, and they will be enraged or even inflamed by the result, and the fire could spread (albeit not through Boxy). Boxy just isn't controversial enough for a victory to start a fight.
- Save us all from certain doom: Vote Boxy! --VVV RPMBG 19:20, 11 July 2010 (BST)

- I for one would like to see a Bureaucrat who is politically neutral and keeps out of drama. Best person possible to be selecting new sysops.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 11:47, 11 July 2010 (BST)

Aichon

- Those of you who voted for me or were planning to vote for me, I thank you heartily for the show of support (and would like to apologize to you for what I'm about to do), but I'm afraid I'm not interested in the position at this time and so I will, somewhat selfishly, remove myself from the running. I've given it some thought over the last few days leading up to this, and I don't envy the job of the 'crats in the slightest. To be perfectly frank, I don't want to get mired down in obligation and drama any more than I already am. I accepted a nomination for sysop, though I never really wanted it, but, for now, I draw the line there. Thanks again. —Aichon— 20:21, 11 July 2010 (BST)
- Active, excellent wiki skills, and almost impossible to enflame. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 13:44, 11 July 2010 (BST)
- As above, also Aichon and Ross as a couple would be like Cheese and the Gnome, which was awesome.--Thadeous Oakley 14:57, 11 July 2010 (BST)
- Aichon is my most fave!--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 18:02, 11 July 2010 (BST)

- Definitely my first choice, I originally pitted him with Misanthropy but Mis imo has a tendancy to let personal conflicts overrule his better abilities as sysop (I don't mean just recent events btw, it's a common trend now) and atm Aichon is a very model sysop in most of the better traits imo. -- 18:31, 11 July 2010 (BST)
- Youre a good help, so you are my first choice.-- Jerrel tlk (82nd!) (Project Unwelcome!). 20:05, 11 July 2010 (BST)

- This is in no way because I think I'm unfit for the job, it just isn't in my current interest at this time, I have maintained a pittance of edits/presence compared to what I'm accustomed to on this wiki and while that's enough for a regular user or sysop I feel that I'm best in a side seat at this moment. --
- No! Now who will I vote swing to?!--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 18:26, 11 July 2010 (BST)
