Cyberbob240

Another round, eh? Well, why not? I'm feeling kinda masochistic today.

Now, I know there will be a few people out there who I've managed to get really quite pissed at me over the last... oh, let's say a month. I just wanted to say sorry to you guys (who shall remain nameless; the lawyers are still hammering out the settlements :P) for all the trouble I've caused.

Moving on, as it's a touchy subject and I don't want to reoffend.

Since my last bid, I've cleaned up after a number of rather massive vandal sprees etc. etc. You know how it goes. I don't want to bore you with any more drivel.

One more thing; I know how some of you still have an issue with my...colourful...past with regard to my rulings on M/VB. Have no fear; I've definitely cleaned up my act in that department. No more frivolous cases or ad hominem attacks! I've converted to the path of reason. I don't know whether this will convince anyone, as most people tend to hold to their past experiences with people pretty closely, but I just wanted to let you all know that that's not how I've been behaving recently, and it's certainly not how I intend to behave in future.

So, here I am. Putting myself out there. Yup.

  • Vouch - Because he put hamtars in the basket. –Xoid STFU! 15:57, 27 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - He's a rude jackass.--Gage 17:18, 27 August 2006 (BST)
    • A perfect demonstration of the double standard inherent in that vote may be found here, everyone. Cyberbob  Talk  06:32, 28 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I don't agree with everything that he does, but that doesn't mean that he would be a bad Bureaucrat. I think he would be fine for the job. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 19:50, 27 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I have no objections. – Nubis NWO 21:25, 27 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - This vote will change to an Abstain if you do not put the Hamters in the basket. --Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS DORIS Hunt! 21:33, 27 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Didn't I already vote for this one? Well... You are still bit better than Labine50. --Niilomaan GRR!Bob06! 21:49, 27 August 2006 (BST)
    • Thanks, Niilo. That makes me feel awesome :-P Cyberbob  Talk  02:56, 28 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Let's see about that future. Your recently is only one or two days old now. It's nothing personal and if what you claim there is true you can have my vouch in a month or two. --Bonefiver 06:26, 28 August 2006 (BST)
    • Eh? One or two days? Show me a frivolous VB case or bad Deletion decision I've made in the past one or two days. Cyberbob  Talk  06:30, 28 August 2006 (BST)
      • You forgot about ad hominem attacks like couple minutes ago in the Gage's vote above. It's great that you made peace with Kiki in the Suck Shit case (yesterday), but that's not convincing enough for me. I can't be bothered to read your contributions to find cases to prove my stance and I believe that the people who vote here know what you have been doing. Keep that motion you describe going on and you'll have my vouch in a month. --Bonefiver 06:58, 28 August 2006 (BST)
        • OK. That thing with Gage wasn't ad hominem. You sure you don't want to go look that up again? Besides, this is probably going to be the last round of Bureaucrat Promotions. For some obscure reason, people are inherently against more than one or two Bureaucrats. By the time a month's passed, it'll be too late. Thanks a lot. Cyberbob  Talk  07:06, 28 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch--I've seen some of your edits and contributions. I like them, and you have Xoid's and Hammero's vote. That's good enough for me. --A1C JerryASSPKASAT 10:34, 28 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch--The Easter Bunny video was funny - as though the other criteria really matter anyway ;) --ReeToric 10:53, 28 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - frankly, i think there are better candidates than you. --DJSMITHCDF 17:38, 28 August 2006 (BST)
    • You'd be drawing on the vast experiences you've had with the inner workings of the wiki there, would you? Cyberbob  Talk  17:50, 28 August 2006 (BST)
      • Attacking those that vote against you will not paint you in a good light. I would suggest just letting them vote and leave it be. For your own sake. You get way to defensive sometimes. Tordeck 18:04, 28 August 2006 (BST)
      • Simply agreeing with Gage's assesment of you --DJSMITHCDF 18:00, 28 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against I'm more than willing to overlook past incidents, but some of CyberBob's responses do not have the neutral tone I prefer to see among those non-rank and file members.Steele Glovier2:17 PM, 28 August 2006 (EST)
  • Vouch - I had some... troubles with Cyberbob, mostly based on personal differences (and a tinny arbitration case). If he's true about what he said as an introduction to this postulation, then I'm happy to vouch for him. I really want to expect a lot less cursing from now on :) --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC | T | W! 19:55, 28 August 2006 (BST)Against - As people can read, when I vouched for him it was in the spirit that he really changed as he said in his postulation. Now I see that some people never changes. I tried to be neutral, understand him, a.l.w.a.y.s. c.o.n.t.a.i.n.i.n.g. m.y.s.e.l.f. It's no use, he just loves to hear himself speaking, and as The General said, he's incapable to read something without have a snipe to the author. A troll made mod if you ask me. Of course, he will call this vote "a vengeance", but just look at his behavior and how long I held this vote change and you'll understand. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 07:19, 8 September 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - He's not a troll, and he's FAIR. When he gives me shit, I take it seriously. Put that in your crack pipe and smoke it! MrAushvitz 05:12, 29 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - A good moderator, always busy and always doing good. Pillsy 16:58, 29 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch-I don't always agree with what he says or how he says it, but he's my model for most improved wiki user. He definitely posts only with the best interests of the wiki at heart.Jjames 04:32, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Against - can't fault his wiki-work, but a 'vouch' vote would appear to condone his willingness to involve himself in baiting and drama. -Dog Deever TNec 19:24, 30 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - The tradition of promoting one Bureaucrat per go round should be broken. --Max Grivas JG,T,Max4Mod,F! 04:35, 31 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch- Why hasn't this come up before?--Admiral Ackbar U! WTF 22:35, 31 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Another round? Huh. Anyway, Cyber's a good guy. He'd make a good 'crat. Also, MrAushvitz Vouch OMFG. --Jimbo Bob ASSU! 04:06, 1 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against-Seems partial at times, and because of a comment he left on my talk which seemed quite immature and inappropriate, especially for a mod. Better people out there.Jackson 5 20:05, 2 September 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Friendly, Smart, Upbeat, and makes a mean grilled cheese sammich.... makes me forget he's an Aussie. --The Godfather of Resensitized, Anime Sucks 15:24, 3 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against - I'm almost too scared of getting flamed to put this vote in. Youronlyfriend 08:56, 5 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against - A good moderator, but not level headed enough to make a good bureaucrat IMO. - Jedaz 09:10, 5 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against - Doesn't seem capable of reading something without trying to have a snipe at the author. I do not feel that he is fit to moderate a forum for spamming, let alone be a bureaucrat on a wiki.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 22:42, 5 September 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - Tells it like it is, which some egos can't handle. --Funt Solo 12:38, 8 September 2006 (BST)
  • Against - I think he's good at what he does, but he's just not mature enough to be a Bureaucrat. That's what I was going to say, good to see I'm not the only one who thinks the same. Maybe next time round? Certainly I think he could have what it takes. He just doesn't have it yet. David Malfisto 16:22, 9 September 2006 (BST)

  • Vouch - I'm willing to vote Hammero on this round. His gold is shiny. I am concerned if he wants th promotion, though.--Thari S T F U 19:12, 27 August 2006 (BST)

Wow, well, that was unexpected. :) I accept this nomination, and I would be willing to serve as our second active Bureaucrat if I am accepted. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 19:31, 27 August 2006 (BST)

Sorry, I guess if I really want this, I have to explain why. I'm very dedicated to the wiki. I've made a huge number of edits here, spearheaded various projects and policy changes, created tons of templates (including one that is used by hundreds of pages now), countered 3page on many of his vandalism sprees, deleted tons of pages, undeleted tens more, served in arbitration cases, protected pages, etc etc etc. Check the log and my contribs page if you want more details on what I've done. Basically, I'm a good moderator, and I would dutifully fulfill the role of Bureaucrat as well. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 19:47, 27 August 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch - I think my vouch was understood when I nominated him--Gage 19:48, 27 August 2006 (BST)

Yeah. So. You guys finally get an IP checker, and I can't use it. This makes me sad. In a lonely angst sort of way. For every user that votes against, I will slash my arm once with a rusty razor blade. However all that vouch get compensation in the form of Gold in Baskets. Show some love :( Anyways. Yeah.

As you all obviously know by now, I kick ass. And stuff. Just look at the contributions list, and the block log. And maybe some moderation pages here or there. I also promise to pull us out of the war in Iraq. Maltonians come home! Or something.

But I digress.
