August 2009
Election started. Suicidalangel's bureaucrat spot is now being voted on. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 04:22, 15 August 2009 (BST)
- Voting is now closed, and with a tie, the final decision now rests upon the remaining bureaucrat. -- RoosterDragon 04:23, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- That'd be Link. He voted for Boxy so Boxy it is then! Unless Link is allowed to change his vote, AFTER the election has been closed. Did I sum that up right?--Thadeous Oakley 10:32, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- I don't remember. Do we have a run off? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 12:11, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- I don't think we actually have any provision for what to do in the case of a tie - policy or precedence. I do think a run-off would be the best way to go however. Cyberbob Talk 12:14, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- Rules for starting an election - clause 6. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 12:46, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- Gee I wonder what Link will say!!! That's a really dumb clause. Cyberbob Talk 12:48, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- The wording suggests that it was in the event that the tie would be between two sysops that aren't currently crats. But since SA is a crat, it's up to Link. Or should SA have a say anyway? Either way, SA is so inactive he doesn't even check his email, lest the wiki, atm. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 12:51, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- Just follow the clause and let Link decide. Rules are rules. Besides, we really need an active bureaucrat with all these re-evaluations coming up. I don't think it's desirable to let Link decide on his own for all these cases, no offense.--Thadeous Oakley 16:39, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- We were following the clause the whole time? This clause also suggests that SA have the right to help in the decision too, it's just your luck that he isn't around to use that right. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 16:41, 29 August 2009 (BST)
- My luck? Speak for yourself.--Thadeous Oakley 16:59, 29 August 2009 (BST)

- SA is good but he's been too inactive for my liking during the past couple of months. Boxy's been keeping his eyes on all parts of the wiki lately and he knows the 'crat job well. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 10:17, 15 August 2009 (BST)

I'd say DDR. Nothing against Suicidal, but I think DDR would be better for the wiki for the time being.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 10:06, 15 August 2009 (BST)Changing to Boxy.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 11:06, 28 August 2009 (BST)This election has me pretty much cornered in between chosing different shades of pure eVil. Well maybe some not that bad, I'd go for Cheese (Krazy Monkey) without a thought if he weren't so damn inactive these days. So I'd say DDR. Everything against Suicidal, and I think DDR would do a capable job, he isn't a sheep yet he is also not rebel for the sake of being rebellious. Someone who can think for himself without having an extreme view on things. Though I think he should bury the hatchet with Bob.--Thadeous Oakley A Challenge you ought to try 11:41, 15 August 2009 (BST)- I'm pretty sure there's no hatchet to be buried...? People can have arguments without personally hating each other's guts you know. Cyberbob Talk 12:35, 15 August 2009 (BST)

SA's been away quite a bit lately, and will be demoted due to inactivity pretty soon anyway. Unless there's a sudden outpouring of support for him, I'll promote Boxy in a few days. Linkthewindow Talk 07:57, 31 August 2009 (BST)
