Cortie?

"Cortie"? Funny nickname, I like it though. But only you can use it, so consider yourself priviliged. As for behaving, I was just having fun you know...Keb said I am a bad girl and I decided to provide him with physical proof (blasting Brom's brains out). Wasnt it fun? :). How are you my dear Duke? I hear you are very high ranked in LCD now and good reputation too. Good boy huh? I like good boys in uniforms. Where is LCD heading now? I want to be able to drop by and say hi sometimes. DarthRevan 15:33, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

i wonder how did you get control over johnny's wiki account...--Duke Garland 06:57, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Oh simple enough, since I know him in real life, I accidentally guessed his, it was actually his favourite band's name. Aah...Roywood. Almost like the good ol' times. DarthRevan 15:33, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
well, you were smart enough to change it after stealing...--Duke Garland 22:23, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Heh, yep :). I am around and as you can see I decided to give you a hand. DarthRevan 18:56, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Nothing special, they tried to convince me to rejoin but I said no. But I think I might give Johnny his account soon. I am bored with it. Anywayz soon I will have a job... so yeah kinda bored now. Whazz up with ya guys? What's new? DarthRevan 11:41, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Hmm now I feel better :)

You say "* turns off a ciggarete in Filthy Jenkins face* I guess I will see you in hell fucko. :) The pleasure is all mine, you can bet. :)"

You fire at Filthy Jenkins for 5 damage. Their flak jacket absorbs 1 point of that damage. They die.

Heheh DarthRevan 11:54, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Russian !? Dont offend me please. I am bulgarian and damn proud of it. So is Johnny, and so is Sev. I read your description by the way in your wiki account and it says eastern europian. Are you from Serbia, Romania, Montenegro, Greece? Anyway which suburb are you in now? Johnny and Sev disapperead... I will find you guys sooner or later anyway... DarthRevan 16:59, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Ukraine, I see. About being offended...it's a long story. Needless to say I dont like russians.

Back to UD. Currently slaughtering hamans in Central Malton until someone revives me. You? DarthRevan 08:44, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

What's up Duke? You dont seem to be very talkative, you behave cold with me since the last time we talked... DarthRevan 14:35, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

A Note (cute)

Hey Duke, How are things going at Crossman? I read up on LCD although I've seen you guys around Caiger. that must be a pretty hard area to been in now. Thanks for leaving me a message I am going to try to help out in the zone so stop by and check it out. Talk to you later. --genie in a bottle - zone 09:34, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

I see LCD all over the zone these days. Its great to be having some help. Also the forum is pretty cool I'm trying to get caught up reading everything. I'll post to you there soon. --genie in a bottle - zone 03:01, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Duke, I saw your post on Talk:Nintendorks, and I passed the message on to our senior members. Hopefully somebody will be contacting you shortly. --SexyRexyGrossman 01:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

QSG

I admit, I don't actually know what people do outside the library. I mainly run revives at turpin crescent, and so don't make it much farther than the Herbert Building. I am easier to contact on either the NMC forum or the RRF forum. Oh, do you have a forum ? Sir Fred of Etruria 19:34, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Comix

Well, I guess random/insane humor isn't to your liking. That's cool, and at least you took the time to check them out. And no, I don't speak Russian, though I know a few words. A little embarrassing, no?--Lachryma 23:08, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, situations matter...and I can't really draw, so I have to rely on my dialogue (and you've seen how that goes...). And yes, I have seen Mistakes Were Made! and I thought it was excellent.--Lachryma 14:26, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

That's very kind of you, volunteering to stop by every once in a while. Maybe one day I'll make a comic you like! Anyway, let me know if you ever decide to do your own comic, I'm curious to see what you would make.--Lachryma 23:13, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Penny Black / Batwing Brigade

Well, we have just formed, so we're not really operating from anywhere just yet. If you look in my Journal you can find out my current location at the time of writing this, but the rest of the group has yet to converge. Oh, and we're not actually undead, at least not all the time. We're supposed to be a survivor group.

Sorry about the mistaken edit there; it looked like your entry had just fallen on the wrong side of the header. --S.WiersctdpNTmapx:oo 12:47, 12 April 2007 (BST)

Thanks for the advice, but i already have a group... it's just not anywhere near that, and our safehouse got mass killed, so all our revivers died along with it... but I got a revive so I'm heading back, thanks though! -Benjerman 05:31, 14 April 2007 (BST)

User:NTstatus/Ridleybank

I reverted this because the update is confused. If the Blackstone is powered, the status line should read 1: 1 0 0, not X: 1 0 0. Also, you listed the update date as 05/21; today is 4/21. --Seb_WiersctdpImagine 19:47, 21 April 2007 (BST)

ah, i see. i mixed the month's number. well, anyway - Blackmore is powered and there's no much of zombie threat right now. i'll make update again --Duke Garland 19:50, 21 April 2007 (BST)

NT Status Map Design Update

As you are one of the people who actively updates this map, I figured I'd alert you to the design change, and ask for feedback on it. I've mad the change to the entire top row of suburbs plus a few others; please help out by changing other suburbs over to this format if you can, especially when making updates. --Seb_WiersctdpImagine 21:11, 28 April 2007 (BST)

glad to see

That you're more active on the wiki these days. Drop me a line or two! --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 12:29, 18 May 2007 (BST)

No I'm actually being for real. If I was doing it for the sig race, I'd probably be saying something random like "Go on the forum now!!!!" Or something to that effect. No, honestly I'm glad that someone else who does stuff for the Zone is active among the UD wiki community. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 12:38, 18 May 2007 (BST)

Re: Your Brains

I'm not sure that I understand the userline thing. I didn't update Ridleybank recently, so I guess I'm just confused. Anyway, be sure to thank your healer friend, he kept you alive, although it did balance out because RNG was VERY kind to me today. I gave you all those infections and other hits with only 20 something AP. -- Murray Jay Suskind 19:18, 23 May 2007 (BST)

Clothes

I've already tried tables. I wasn't to hot on them. Lets first make sure we've got all the info, and that we've presented them in a uniform way before messing with the presentation.--Vista +1 13:20, 2 June 2007 (BST)

on the <colour> tag. You've removed that on the police station category because there was only one version there. I can understand that, but I did so to differentiate between colours that are from the standard list and colours that are unique in that building. (such as tweed). Perhaps you know a good way to make that distinction?--Vista +1 17:51, 3 June 2007 (BST)
Well I was thinking more in line whether the colour is unique or in the standard list. You can get a pale blue jacket mostly everywhere, you don't need to go to the police station to get one. With a tweed jacket there is only one place to go to, while there a dozens of place that can get you a pink jacket. A way to differentiate between regular colours and unique colours (and items) will help people. That doesn't need to be that tag, so I'm open for suggestions.--Vista +1 18:32, 3 June 2007 (BST)
That sounds cool, I'll wait for it. Have you thought about how to go further with tables yet?--Vista +1 18:39, 3 June 2007 (BST)
Tables...</shudder> Meanwhile I found that different mansion have different unique items. Just like stadiums. Perhaps more buildings have this. maybe Cathedrals?--Vista +1 19:25, 3 June 2007 (BST)

Cades in Moseley

We don't need cades and we don't want them. The SMI over in the cinema next door think its funny to cade our office and PK our members. Things have gone quite far and its come to the point where some RR members just don't think a pacifist stance can cut it any more. I didn't know you can run a genny out of a ransacked building though...Danny Finn 23:20, 04/06/07 (GMT)

West Grayside building information center

  • sorry for misspelling grayside for greyside. but is it really worth deleting. it can be helpful. Like the information center in Dentonside .
    • sorry, but that is up to the survivors to help, if they do not want to, they don't need to. but if someone needs to know what buildings to attack and such, then someone will update the thing. That is how it works. or at least is supposed to. Chris' 'Redfield 17:50, 13 June 2007 (BST)

Clothes for donators only

Ok, your idea of having clothes that are only accseable to those characters who have donated is genius! I think that the game should remain free, which is why I will vote kill (as will many others) for any suggestion that gives donators an advantage Ingame. However clothing is purely aesthetic, so this could be a definate reward to those who have donated without damaging the gameplay of htose who cannot afford, or do not wish to donate. Care to work through a few ideas with me? Stick something on my talk page, or your talk page. Not fussed. --Seventythree 21:43, 14 June 2007 (BST)

Well, as there does'nt seem to be a talk page for clothing suggestions I thought we could work on a couple of ideas for donator only clothes. I have had a few, mainly involving badges, I.e sargent's stripes, found in forts, necronet ID card, found at necronet buildings, police badges found in police stations. I dunno, what do you think?--Seventythree 13:24, 15 June 2007 (BST)

Cool. Well, I'm gonna put something up soonish, a badge slot for donators only. They would have acces to Necronet ID cards, Sargent's stripes, Police badges, Fireman badges, Employee of the month badges (malls) Park ranger badges (parks, Zoos) and doctors ID badges--Seventythree 11:47, 17 June 2007 (BST)

St. Ethelbert's Hospital

Hello and thank you for dropping a note on my talk page. I quickly introduced myself, my Hospital and Staff on your forums. If you look at the news page for Roftwood you will see that the Hospital has been under attack for a little while now, and their numbers are increasing. The staff are having a rather fun time dealing with the zombies but we could really use some help just to relieve the strain.--Sunil 18:00, 20 June 2007 (BST)

I'm beginning to think he didn't, seeing as how he deleted the template from his page an all. RE: Lie Down Suggestion

What about the HP recovery from lying down bothers you? This is basically self-imposed death so you shouldn't be severely penalized (beyond the XP cost of buying it and AP cost of using it) more than dying. A zombie can headshot himself in the location of his choice, but he shouldn't have to wake up with 30 HP instead of 50 or 60 because he laid down a day ago with that much. It's not immediate restoration (so it's already less efficient than actually dying) and because of the massive AP costs takes a very long time to actually be worthwhile. Like I replied to the other guy, this is an extremely situational skill where it actually benefits zombies to use. As a zombie, what it actually does in itself is not in any way powerful.--Insomniac By Choice 12:10, 15 July 2007 (BST)

Mmhmm, but I had a question directed at you so I wanted you to see it. I didn't assume you were in the habit of checking the talk pages of every suggestion you vote on. I mean, it's your talk page so delete all this if you want, but if I want you to see something and read it, I assume this is the best place to go just like you posted on my talk page when you wanted me to chide me, not the suggestion page. Anyway, other than this everything else will be directed there.--Insomniac By Choice 13:03, 15 July 2007 (BST)

Reverting the SSZ article

Did you read what it said or just the edit summary? I know the NSZ isn't an SSZ problem; the point is that it lacks NT buildings and that IS a big problem for the SSZ, especially in wars of attrition. Which is why I'm putting the statement back in. I linked to the NSZ because it has a more detailed and eloquent critique as written by Murray J Suskind. Take that out if you like, but the lack of NTs within the inner SSZ is a perfectly valid problem to make note of.--Insomniac By Choice 11:34, 24 July 2007 (BST)

I enjoyed finding the screen shots for your recent bug report. Nice work collecting them. I did notice that they may reveal a bug with iWitness filters. Sig help

Hey, thanks and no problem! I was wondering why that was happening... Question: sometimes people use carriage returns where they're not needed, to make the edit page easier to navigate, and it doesn't appear to make any difference to the final page (but in some circumstances, it does). What are the situations where they DO matter? --Morgan Blair 03:28, 30 August 2007 (BST)

News 24 Aug, edit for clarity?

I made a grammatical correction to your addition to News#24th_August_2007 about the new freqs -- but it's still not at all clear what you're trying to say. It's possible to catch whose reports exactly? What are these reports? Sorry, what you put is very confusing and unclear. I mean this constructively, of course... --WanYao 05:07, 30 August 2007 (BST).

NPOV

Sorry, I probably used the wrong phrase. I didn't think they showed a survivor or zombie bias, I just thought you were updating "in-character", and I hate it when I see that. But combined with what you said on the radio page, I think I understand what you mean, and it's moot anyway. Again, sorry.--Insomniac By Choice 09:23, 30 August 2007 (BST)

External Military

I think it's a fine idea, however don't go into meaningless detail about what exact military units are stationed outside, with x number of tanks and x number of choppers. Keep it relative to the game and just have chopper and broadcast information. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 11:05, 30 August 2007 (BST)

I'm just collecting data from a subset of buildings, as appropriate for my characters. I also have a OddStarter-type character which I'm using to collect de-barricade info with too (though he'll presumably move to searching at some point).

I'm using google spreadsheets to collate my data - you can see it here.

As I tend to just add data directly to it, it might be difficult to see which data is new. However, I've made all the current numbers on the Search Pages red - assuming you'll take all that info. Any new data I add to the Search pages will be in black, until you let me know that you've taken it down. Does that work for you?

(Additionally, I don't record newspapers, books, or poetry books.)

Sorry about the delay in reply. Yes, you are correct the Search = unpowered, and Search(+) = powered. Hmm, disappointing that you can't use the data from the buildings which also give up newspapers and books. I will start recording that information from now on. If there is a building where I haven't listed all the possible items, it's because I haven't found all the different possible items there yet. I think that covers everything you mentioned. I honestly don't remember, but that's another of the items I wouldn't have recorded. Best not trust those figures either, I'm afraid. Actually, I just remembered that I haven't been recording DNA extractors either. Sorry - when I initially started, I just wanted to figure out where the best place to find Spray Cans was.. and it grew from there. So, because I haven't been recording newspapers, books, poetry books, wirecutters or DNA extractors that means the data from Hospitals, NTs, Hardware Stores and Schools isn't usable.

I've added some vertical lines to show that the new data I'll be collecting will be recording every find. I've got 4 OddStarter-type characters now, so there should be a steady flow of new data coming in. Is these anything else I need to cover? 'arm. 19:57, 24 September 2007 (BST)
Oh, good point about GPS and radios. Guess that discounts the PD data too. Damnit, I should have thought ahead about being able to include my data in the wiki. 'arm. 20:00, 24 September 2007 (BST)
So you've added the data in red; what about the data that's in black? I see what I can do about searching in ransacked and ruined buildings - I think all my OddStarter characters are in safe suburbs at the moment. 'arm. 20:16, 24 September 2007 (BST)

I found a ruined NT to search, so I've added an extra tab. However, I ran low on IP hits and only got 8 searches in, so you'll most likely want to wait until I've done some more searches. I'll add 'Search (ransack)', 'Search (ruin+)' and 'Search (ransack+)' tabs as I find those types of buildings. I also 'squashed up' all the data before the vertical lines. RE: External Military reports for Sept 21st

Sorry, I don't archive elsewhere, I'm not sure if there is anything missing from the 21st either. --Koli T 02:07, 24 September 2007 (BST)

Check the Iwitness records. I use Tank GirI to make a witness record of ALL the 25.96 MHz broadcasts, among other things. I think I've missed one broadcast; not one day, just one single broadcast, because it popped up during live combat. SIM Core Map.png Swiers 02:40, 24 September 2007 (BST)

More Dynamic Fights Suggestion

Re: I avoided giving mininerfs because I wanted to give players the ability to opt-out. As structured the suggestion presents a different choice with a pro and con and players can ignore it if they like. Nobody would select a mininerf unless this suggestion made the event something that happens to you, rather than something you choose to do. It's not a bad idea, but I feel that this suggestion is "Randomly Presented Options" and your idea is a different suggestion: "Randomly Occuring Misfortunes" --Jon Pyre 18:27, 27 September 2007 (BST)

Err... Did you even read the part about the stats? I basically said that the current stats don't matter, and should be ignored when voting on a suggestion! --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 20:44, 4 October 2007 (BST)
