Krazy Monkey aka Cheeseman
Ok. Here we go. I've been around on the wiki since April back in 2006 and I've made over 1500 edits in that time fulfilling the first two criteria. I'm a reasonably friendly guy, always willing to help, particularly in welcoming newbies and the like, correcting typos, fixing formating and generally making a helpful pain in the ass of myself.
I've recently began trawling through the images pages and fixed those with incredibly huge filenames and also clearing out some of the unused ones by sticking them up for speedy deletion. I've also decided to get involved in the Images Categorisation project to try and help tidy them up a bit, its a complete mess. I also in the past helped out with the Location Blocking and other bits and pieces before I disappeared off. As well as this I keep an eye on the suggestions pages and help out there when needed as well as making my own suggestions whenever something strikes me.
As I've said, I've been here for almost two years now and I know how things work. I'm pretty impartial and its safe to say that you'll get an unbiased opinion from me over an issue. If I become a sysop, I'd stick to what I'm doing just now and help out on Speedy Deletions/Deletions/Moves/Protects etc. I'm just one of those people that likes to tidy up I guess.
All I have left to say really is, third times the charm. Thanks for reading/skimming my application for Sysopness. -- Cheese 22:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
EDIT: Oh and some extra stuff I forgot to mention. I'm the Original Creator of the Clothing Suggestions page, and my failed clothes suggestion was the raw material for the clothing update itself. :D -- Cheese 23:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

- I can't realy vote yet. Could you maybe add a couple of links to your contributions you're most proud of? Any particuarly troublesome disputes or squabbles you worked out? Pages you designed? Help given? Stuff like that realy.--SeventythreeTalk 23:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. :) First off theres my group page, just purely to plug it. I also helped out Xela798 to sort out the original mess that was the Sinclair Hotels page: [1] into something slightly more useful and editable by sticking virtually most of the content onto various subpages to leave it as this: [2] Its now currently at this state. (Wasn't me but I still helped out a fair bit. :D) I've also done quite a lot of newbie helping and fixed broken bits and pieces on their pages, nothing major but I do get thanked quite a bit by them which is nice. Its nothing too major I do, just really sticking to the background and giving people that bit of a leg up and advice. -- Cheese 23:12, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

- Ok then. I was the founder of the Clothing Suggestions page (which is now pretty popular) and it was my failed suggestion that was used as the raw material for the implementation. I also got kilts into the game. :D -- Cheese 23:24, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

- Vouch - O.K, I've never seen you realy lose your temper with anyone, or get into a meaningless row with another user, which is good. I can't see you anywhere under vandal data and the only Arbitration case I can see you're involved in (not as arbitrator) is a simple edit conflict. You can edit to a good enougth level and I've seen you helping out other users as well as helping out with minor day-to day admin tasks. You seem to generaly be quite friendly and approachable and you have a silly name (yes, the last one counts as a positive). --SeventythreeTalk 23:22, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Vouch - The Cheesinator's got mad people skills and seems to have your mad wiki editing devilry down pat. Plus, he wants to tidy up things. Tidy up! Delve into the psychotic messes in this place; the places nobody wants to go because they fear they will come out minus their SANITY. I reckon you should let be a sysop and then make him promise to do what he's offered before he changes his mind :P. --dudemeister 23:57, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- I want to know where you stand on various issues, especially in grey areas. I know you have stated that you are going to focus on areas other then A/VB, but eventually you'll probably head off there. As of such, what is your thoughts on the recent case against Karek? What would you have ruled and why? - Jedaz [00:07, 12 February 2008 (BST)]
- Ok. This would be a tricky one to rule. On one hand you have the fact that Karek incorrectly removed a suggestion while the rules state that it was allowed, called the author a whining cunt and generally made a dogs dinner of the affair. While on the other you have that ambiguous statement about one suggestion per author per day. This statement needs to make clear that it is per calender day as opposed to 24 hours since the last suggestion. However on this occasion I would rule vandalism as the suggestion was clearly a revision and not another new suggestion from that author. -- Cheese 00:17, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- I like the fact that you are clear on why you made the decision and have firm reasoning behind it. As of such it's a Vouch from me. I think you'ld make a great sysop. - Jedaz [00:28, 12 February 2008 (BST)]

- Abstain - What are your views on the copyright saga, Grim vs The World, POWER TO THE PKER, Nalikill, and mudkips (cuz I heard you liked dem)?--THE Godfather of Яesensitized, Anime Sucks Yalk | W! U! WMM| CC CPFOAS LOE ZHU | Яezzens 04:05, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. Copyright- I feel a page belongs to the user who made what ever it is and if you want to use it, you ask them or have a good reason to use it. Grim- Meh. I find Grim a bit...off putting. He's a bit too confrontational for my tastes and can be rather unfair in his decisions. Power to the Pker- I've played a few PKer characters and I agree that there needs to be some sort of buff for them. It is incredibly difficult to get by solely on killing humans. Nalikill- He's a bit too eager to step into the ring, even when it doesn't necessarily concern him. I refer to his arby case and the current NPOV dispute on the Giddings Siege. He may not have made the page, but most of it was written by him so the POV statements were down to him. Mudkips- I have no idea what a mudkip is :/ What is it? -- Cheese 15:55, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Abstain - Meh. --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 07:33, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Vouch - Always helpful and his decisions are fair. Unlike many of the other mods, most of his opinions are uninfluenced by the other ops around him, and are entirely his own formation.--MichaelRead 11:47, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Vouch - A very helpful and friendly individual, who has helped me on several occasions - replying quickly and politely each time. -- Rick Best 17:41, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Question - a recent policy (Sysop Promotion Guidelines Overhaul) failed to pass because it did not have enough votes (the minimum of 20 needed). Why didn't you vote on it? --Funt Solo QT 17:48, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- I honestly missed that one. :S I must have scrolled right past it. If I had seen it, I definitely would have voted for it. Would really make you feel as though you had earned becoming a sysop and that the community has a great deal of trust in you. -- Cheese 17:55, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Okay - you seem calm and reasonable. I don't think you have a deep understanding of the copyright saga (isn't that a reference to image deletions?) - but, hey, it was a boring drama llama fest anyway, so if you don't know about it, that's a plus point. Not sure you fully understand the suggestions rules system, either, but then it's a horrible mish-mash of different rules on different pages that tend to contradict each other, so, no blame attached. Vouch: calm and reasonable wins the day. --Funt Solo QT 20:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Vouch - I have never seen you flame anyone, spam any pages, or do anything that'd indicate you're an asshat. I wish you luck on your bid for promotion. --Hhal 19:36, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Against - Trenchcoater, no sense of balance (Demonstrated from suggestions), and all round lacks the maturity required, not to mention a complete absence of anything required to make a balanced and impartial decision based on all the facts. Id sooner vouch for Nalikill. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 19:39, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

- All your characters are harmanz, three of which are in the DEM, which is heavily trenchie in its own right, and then theres the fact that your suggestions entirely suck for all zombies. You are a trenchcoater. Like it or not, thats what you are. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 19:48, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- I beg to differ, chum: I run two zombie characters, one with Brain Rot, another on its way up. Two of my DEM alts are retired and even then the one thats left is an RP monkey who revives people. I also have started running a crazy mental PKer character so don't call me a trenchie without getting your facts right. Also, several of my suggestions have been zombie related and a few of them have got into PR so I think you should retract that statement because it just makes you look bitter. -- Cheese 19:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thats your own fault. I checked your characetrs on your userpage. Every single one of them is sold as a harman. Not my fault you cant publicise accurately. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 05:49, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

- Another Question point me at a few policies you have voted on or better yet participated in thrashing out so I can get a better picture. You are not as vocal (and hence visable) as some which may be a good thing but I would like to see more of what you have done. --Honestmistake 21:49, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't really participated in the discussion part of policies but I do read them if I have a spare moment. I have voted on a few including: Bureaucrat cycling, The sysop subclasses, Speedy Deletion change and [Speech]. -- Cheese 16:11, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- Going to have to ABSTAIN I think... I have no doubts about your motives for wanting this promotion and am willing to assume you have the skill to fill the role but I would like to see you get more involved in discussions on the policies. Its a good way to show your understanding and judgement and wider input is always needed. I can't remember seeing you involved in any real drama but it seems its because you don't care enough to have any strong enough opinion. Do try again in a month or so and if you have shown that level of involvement then i will almost certainly Vouch. --Honestmistake 16:28, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
