After destroying everything on the Official Zombie Target List the Militant Order of Barhah looks to the north and east for more food, then slowly begins to shamble away. -- Grogh 00:36, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

October 27th

Stickling Mall was just ruined moments ago by zombies from the Militant Order of Barhah. At this time, they are following the scents trails of survivors that escaped their ravenous horde, while they chant something that sounds vaguely like "send more brains". Survivors are putting up a stiff defense, and coming to the assistance of wounded people that have been trapped inside the surrounding structures. First aid kits are being passed out almost as quickly as they are assembled. --FLZombie 02:52, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

October 26th

BREAKING NEWS: Several zombies from the BLF faction of the Militant Order of Barhah have managed to break into the southwest quadrant of Stickling Mall. Additional zombies from MOB flowed in through open doors, including those from the Inquisition strike team. All four quadrants had their generators destroyed promptly. An additional generator came to life in the northeast quadrant, but was attacked and destroyed in 83 seconds. Several groans were heard emanating from the scene, as well as the horrified screams of hiding survivors. No screams were heard shortly after 3 am this morning, and the quadrant is now ruined. --FLZombie 03:37, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

With over 100 standing zombies inside the mall, it seems that all is lost. Given MOB's propensity to ruin the suburb after the mall, I recommend upgrading the status to "very dangerous" at this time.--FLZombie 19:36, 21 April 2009 (BST)

Tons around the south east area of the mall. It seems the horde's spreading out to take resource points. Borror PD is completely gone, reports of a group of 30+ inside and I scouted another 30+ outside in the surrounding blocks. Various buildings are still well manned and well defended and people seem ready to give a fight.--John Mowry 16:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

The entire Northern section of Shearbank is gone. The horde has been slowly spreading eastward in the north, with the Gabe building falling at this very moment. --Ragriav 01:56, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Zeds have broken some of the Stickling Mall NW sector's barricades, changing it from EHB to Very heavily barricaded. St. Christopeher's Church fell to the rising tide of the dead--Sgt Raiden

UPDATE: Stickling Mall's barricades have been decisively breached and some sectors ruined. Survivors continue to resist in the SW corner but hundreds of zombies are in the mall and its environs. In other news, all 19 Stickling Mall Starbucks branches are out of latte moccachinos and bra!n muffins. Allder Row Revive Point is extremely busy. --Mallrat 16:55, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

December 16th

Nisbet has been ruined with 2 zeds inside and a whole bunch more surrounding it.--Nick Tennear 12:09, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

December 12th

While the Northern front of the suburb still holds, the Southern one doesn't. The Turner Building is ruined along with Josaphat General Hospital. With all surrounding suburbs destroyed and occupied by zombies, Shearbank is starting to feel the tightening grip of the dead. -- Kittithaj 15:28, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

A horde of 50+ zombies has lain siege to Edmund General Hospital, and are in the process of supressing the remaining survivors. --Sigma 7 16:55, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Shearbank is a very long away from being dead. Turner NT is recaptured, Nisbet NT is powered, the south is in a pretty good shape. Edmund is still ruined but is expected to be retaken by tomorrow, as it constantly swaps sides for a week now. 3 buildings ruined, the rest is almost completely powered.--Thadeous Oakley 23:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

December 8th

Edmund General Hospital has been the site of multiple acts of ruin and reclamation on Shearbank's northern border. So far a group of ~30 Zeds have been able to overrun it numberous times over the weekend, but abandon it for relatively rapid survivor reclamation. Reports of Zed activity in the SW centered around Nisbet NT persist.--The Envoy 05:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Lazarus General Hospital is ruined with 30 Zombies on it, Whippey NT it lit, and earlier Nisbet was Lightly barricaded. 03:51, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

What kind of statement is that? Anyway, that is not news and its POV. December 7th

Edmund fell but was retaken and is now powered. Same for Nisbet NT, its powered aswell now. Lessey Lane PD still stands though still no working generator inside. Around 80-100 zeds outside yet amazingly Shearbank is still safe enough to be yellow.--Thadeous Oakley 15:50, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Yet it is Orange, given the criteria of orange/dangerous: Dangerous:hostile mobs of 50+ & Moderate:50+ hostile hordes. 01:56, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Technically "mobs" refers to stacks on the same square, stupid as that may sound. Even if the 108-strong MOB rolls into some suburb, that doesn't technically count as a "hostile mob" unless at least 50 are all in the one square. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 19:13, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Undead numbers increase in the area after the fall of Creedy and Giddings Mall. Undead have been seen migrating in nearly all directions flooding into the surrounding area finding their way into Shearbank. Eye witness accounts of undead dragging several unwary survivors out of the police department after tearing down its barricades and ripping out their internals before devouring their flesh.

Active zombies and break-ins, but no 50+ hostile hordes. I dont think we should be giving Shearbank a yellow label for 7 zombies attacking a well protected and powered hospital which has not been broken into yet. Sorry. --Thadeous Oakley 20:51, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

September

September 27th

There are 5 TRP's currently up in Shearbank, 2 of those have power and another 2 are about to fall. Some survivor activity, especially in east and south portions. Around 25 zombies at Allder Row while Peppe Street (in Huntley Heights)is empty. --MisterGame 17:03, 27 September 2008 (BST)

September 24th

Stickling mall is still the focal point for a (somewhat lopsided) see-sawing battle between survivors and zeds. 75% of the Mall is again in ruins, closest resource buildings lacking manpower and weakly caded. Much of the burb's south is a wreck, some stability to the NE of the suburb. Total size of Zeds standing in and around a 1 block radius of Stickling mall ~125 at the time of this report. This place is going to be ugly and dangerous to survivors for a while. 28 Zeds standing at Allder revive point with multiple revive missions witnessed.--The Envoy 05:54, 24 September 2008 (BST)

At least 120 zombies in the 'burb (115 counted outside, with 5 in the mall, which is totally ruined). Of the remaining 16 Tactical Resource Points, 13 are ruined. In the east, a single powered NT and two powered factories remain. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 20:15, 21 September 2008 (BST)

This suburb has been under heavy assault by the Ridleybank Resistance Front's March of the New Flesh tour for five days, resulting in widespread death and carnage. The TRPs of the suburb are either ruined or on the brink of it, with a heavy zombie holding presence. Danger status updated to 'Very Dangerous'. --Papa Moloch 18:18, 21 September 2008 (BST)

September 20th

The center and southern parts of Shearbank are mostly ruined. Alot of small to medium sized zombie groups are spread out across the buildings. The east still holds some light and the only remaining functional Necrotech building, Gabe NT which supports the active and currently empty RP, Peppe Street (See UCC page for more advice (located under Current Events) --MisterGame 23:31, 20 September 2008 (BST)

A quick survey of the suburb revealed approximately 119 standing zombies (18 inside the mall, which has 3 ruined corners). Of the remaining 16 Tactical Resource Points in the suburb, only 6 are ruined. Two are without power, and the remaining 8 are powered. The suburb maintains a powered and operational hospital, NecroTech, Auto Repair, 2 Police Departments and 3 Factories. I have, therefore, changed the suburb danger level from Very Dangerous (150+ zombies, most buildings gone) to Dangerous (50+ zombies, many TRPs gone), in line with the given descriptions. (Note, this is a step up from yesterday's level of Moderate.) --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 17:41, 20 September 2008 (BST)

September 19th

As Stickling Mall fell to the undead horde, a few hardy survivors took back the Whippey Building for a time. However, it was to be a short reprieve and now both mall and NT stand ruined. The surrounding buildings are just now being breached by the restless dead. Further east, the rest of the suburb is still in good shape with many powered buildings. For how long this lasts is quite another matter. --Guilty 20:20, 19 September 2008 (BST)

September 18th

The Whippey Building is in ruins, as is one corner of Stickling Mall, with the remaining four corners without power. Standing zombies (inside and outside the mall and immediate surroundings) number around twenty in total. They are (numerically) out numbered by survivors. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 15:42, 18 September 2008 (BST)

September 17th

The Whippey Building was breached by zombies today. Though the Necrotech facility was eventually cleared by stalwart survivors, this undead strike into the Stickling Mall region may signal the opening move of a larger invasion. NT scans reveal few zombies outside of the local revive location but the numbers are slowly increasing. --Guilty 03:06, 18 September 2008 (BST)

Update: The RRF and their various sub-units have launched blitzkriegs that have seen the Whippey NT ruined and Stickling Mall's security compromised. The survivors may yet have enough moxy to pull off a recapture, but it will be a rough fight. --Guilty 04:51, 18 September 2008 (BST)

September 16th

Shearbank experienced a spike in PK occurrences during the last week and survivor reports seem to single out the RRF Gore Corps. Whether this is a prelude to a larger invasion by their undead brethren or merely isolated attacks, remains to be seen. The suburb is in decent shape otherwise, with Stickling Mall and the buildings in its immediate vicinity a bastion of supplies and safety (aside from the Pking). Minor but persistent zombie activity has led to a few break-ins, usually quickly suppressed. However, this could be an indication of trouble to come. --Guilty 15:10, 16 September 2008 (BST)

Stickling mall and one block perimeter has a zed density of 3.2 Zeds per block. The demolition of Shearbank has begun in earnest. Edmund Hospital has been ruined with its occupants dragged screaming into the streets and devoured alive by crazed mobs of the the lurching dead. The towns remaining NT's, Hospitals and Police Stations have all been destroyed and Stickling Mall is an abandoned ruin. Nothing now stands in the way of the dreadful zombie onslaught as it begins to systematically dismantle every last barricade and eat every last remaining brain in Shearbank. --Zeug 04:50, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Stickling Mall has fallen, all sections ruined...no standing survivors inside... the Whippey Building is ruined and there are 25+ zombies inside. --Lithedarkangel 18:20, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Whippey NT is wide open with 60+ undead against 15 defenders and is lost. Stickling Mall SW and SE are ruined and completely overrun with large numbers of walking dead lurching through the aisles of Malton's biggest WallMart tearing customers and proprietors limb from limb and gorging on their brains and guts. All residents of Shearbank are advised to either batten down their hatches or flee east as the zombie hordes unleashed by the fall of Whippey NT and its Mall will now undoubtedly turn on the rest of the town in a feral feeding frenzy of truly horrible proportions. --Zeug 04:39, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Stickling has finally fallen. At last glance (before I hauled all sorts of ass out) there were 96 zeds in the SW corner and 14 were reported in Whippey NT. That number is almost certainly higher now. After several weeks of unsuccessful Extinction pushes, re enforcements on the zed side has tipped the balance to the dead. --Parry hagen 02:43, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

March 19th

At about 00:00 GMT there was a break-in the SW corner with 22 zombies entering and 3 mall defenders dying. Most of the intruders were members of "The Dead". Survivors managed to deal with this attack rather swiftly and efficiently. EHB and 3 out of 4 corners lit. --MaDB0mBeR 01:18, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Warning! From out of nowhere a zombie horde has entered south Shearbank through Roachtown (most buildings ruined there). I counted around 30 zeds outside alone. The local Umbrella Corp HQ is under attack as I speak and the same goes for Nisbet NT. The Umbrella Corp shall attempt to keep the zeds at bay to prevent them from getting deeper in the suburb and reinforce the zeds at Stickling.--MisterGame 07:18, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

We have a PKer/GKer by the name of John Moleman running around. Guy killed someone in Whippey and then smashed the Generator after commenting "The Dead will come." Also, Recent scan shows 212 outside SW Stickling. --Chouta 12:57, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Ever patient, biding their time testing the defenses and building coordination, Extinction Troops outside Stickling Mall have been joined by zethren from around Malton drawn by the horde of highly organized and motivated Beerhah needle junkies guarding Shearbank. Extinction along with elements of the Feral Undead, the Big Bash, various other smaller groups and wandering ferals, and now our cousins The Dead, number 230 standing zombies and 140 dead outside the SW entry. The coming battle promises to be a glorious affair for all concerned, both breather and non-breather, as the fate of NW Malton hangs in the balance.--Zeug 17:28, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

244 zombies, 135 dead bodies outside the SW corner. A small break in happened, with just four zombies.--Kingofallpie 20:34, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

The Siege seems to have escalated somewhat in the past few days, as a low of 52 zombies was recorded on March 15th, and the current count stands at 115. All four corners are still lit.--Kingofallpie 14:56, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

March 17th

The latest "Siege of Stickling," now ten days in length since Extinction gathered by Shearbank's mall, seems to have reached some sort of detente or equilibrium. Extinction's penetrations of the mall's cades do come like clockwork, but it's been a few days since any substantial ruin or death has been dealt the survivors. Revive queues in Allder have very quick turnaround and even Death Cultist activity on behalf of Extinction seems to have lessened. There are reports of survivors not concentrated in the mall being plagued by PKers and saboteurs, and there are Zed break ins in other buildings, but it's unclear whether those Zed are Extinction or feral.--The Envoy 18:27, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Zombie infiltrations continue at Stickling however; they are quickly thwarted by the local survivors. --beeng 23:30, 14 March 2008 (UTC).

As the Siege of Stickling continues more and more survivors arrive to the mall. Revive points are being cleared by the hour, and the mall hasn't had a ruined corner for days. All 4 corners of Stick are lit. Zombie break ins are frequent but each one is repulsed with more vigor and valiance than the last. Numbers within the mall grow with each passing day and revives remain fast and frequent. --Parry hagen 00:14 12, March 2008 (UTC)

March 11th

A small attack into the SW corner was repulsed, after just 3 zombies got in. No survivors died, though the generator in that corner was destroyed. --Kingofallpie 20:24, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I can report 63 zeds still swaying outside Stickling SW this fine afternoon alongside 42 inert bodies, not to mention the 30 zeds shambling around inside the ruined NW entry to the Mall. The Shearbank defense is weakened but has managed to hold firm through round the clock break ins and multiple ruins at its NW, SW and SE Mall entrances the last few days. Morale remains high but each ruin is met with increasingly exhausted counter ruin as the constant battle takes its toll on the supply of first aid kits, ammunition and fuel for the busted generators. Revive needles are in abundance however as are the ranks of deranged combat revived former zombies. --Zeug 16:35, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

At the time of this report 61 standing Zeds outside SW Stickling. Stickling at least heavily caded in all quadrants, but only powered in the North. Resource points surrounding the mall have little to no zed presence around them.--The Envoy 11:49, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Multiple ongoing pre-dawn break ins reported at Stickling Mall. Extinction Strike Team Shadow has breached the SE entry and the SW has also just opened up. The Mall defenders are nearing exhaustion with these round the clock assaults by the increasingly coordinated forces of the Undead. How long can Stickling, and after it Shearbank, hold against these battering rams? Only time, good reader, will tell.--Zeug 04:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Stickling mall is back to full health. All corners are caded, but not all of them are at EHB due to the ongoing zombie presence. --Kingofallpie 20:17, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

The combined forces of the undead gathering in the vicinity of Stickling Mall are now 150 strong with an Eastonwood Ferals pack spearheading yet another ruin in the NW entry to the Mall followed closely by Extinction Troops and local ferals streaming into the breach. Reports are coming in of Undeadites joining the fray which if true certainly does not bode well for the fearless defenders of fair Shearbank. --Zeug 15:29, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Stickling relatively secured as of this writing but 3/4 without power, and no radio capability anywhere in the mall. Humans with Extinction markings were witnessed destroying resources, a reminder against combat revives.--The Envoy 04:47, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Stickling breached from the SW again. 40+ outside, 7 in SW and a few others wandering the mall. Human sympathizers are making raids on the generators and assassinating survivors as well.--The Envoy 03:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

March 9th

Two corners of the Mall, the Northwest and the Southeast, are ruined and open. One corner is still lit. --Kingofallpie 14:46, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

The Mall is currently fully 'caded, and at least one corner is lit. --Kingofallpie 04:53, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

March 8th

Extinction troops have been gathering outside the Whippey NT and SW Stickling Mall the last several days apparently following a tag team graffiti targeting spree led by NT Strike Team Shadow and the hordes' lead zombie Dr'Brainz. Fiercely coordinated Eastonwood Feral packs are also descending on the Mall along with a growing number of local ferals and now SW Stickling Mall is completely ruined with the Shearbank defense taking multiple casualties. Even so ruined Stickling is still standing strong against the combined force of the undead that tonight threatens to drag Shearbank back yet again into the nightmare. --Zeug 18:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

As of this report, 18 Zeds inside ruined SW Stickling Mall, with 28 Zeds and a lot of bodies outside the quadrant. It is unclear whether this is the Extinction group mentioned yesterday, some other organized horde, or a random gathering of ferals following death scents and feeding groans. Rest of Mall is full caded though unpowered. Surrounding resource buildings are fully operational.--The Envoy 16:31, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

NecroWatch provided a civilian scan report from the Whippey Building which revealed that there were 177 zombies within scanning range of the facility. Of note, there were 23 zombies at Edmund General Hospital and Farrant Crescent PD, 20 zombies at the Hawksley Building across the border in Millen Hills, 15 zombies at Lazarus General Hospital, and 14 zombies at Keedwell Plaza School. The remaining detected zombies were scattered with a few small, but potentially dangerous, groups to the southeast. --Mobius187 18:02, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Hawksley Building opened up and occupants under attack as of this writing. Zeds numbering 50+ were witnessed spread over the Millen Hills/Shearbank border in the vicinity of Hawksley. Looks like a 00:00 UTC timed strike.--The Envoy 00:15, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Lazarus Hospital is open wide with 20+ Zeds inside. Medics of Malton members are under orders to stay as long as survivors need healing, but there's not much we can do now. Once it's over we'll probably move with river tactics to a safer location. ChrisForelle 22:21, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

/zom/ of Anonymous will be evacuating the suburb as well, in accordance with River Tactics. We encourage all other citizens to follow*. When Shearbank is clear, our operatives and probably others will be reporting so over Shearbank Radio, 26.80, and of course on this Wiki page. When the Big Bash has cleared out, we encourage all citizens to join us in rebuilding the malls and surrounding area and cleaning out any more zombies. Those who die to the Big Bash will be happy to know that /zom/ will maintain a DIRT:NAP revive point for fast and efficient reviving. If you insist on staying, move what will inevitably be your corpse to the Addler Row revive point. NecroTechnicians are encouraged to join us in this endeavor; please stock up on syringes now, 20 and more is a good goal. Edmund General has been broken into again, currently 12 zeds inside, power down, people being eaten. Suspect the undeadites. In addition, a NT scan this morning, revealed about 10 zombies, a scan 5 minutes ago showed upwards of 50 zombies. And it seems that the Second Big Bash has finally decided to swing westward and grace us with their presence. We expect them soon. William Joel 05:22, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

February 17th

Regardless of the reading of Necrotech and presumably Umbrella affiliated recon elements, buildings in Shearbank are still coming under coordinated Zed attack. Today, Edmund General Hospital was again breached by an organized group of Zeds, inflicting infrastructure damange and some casualties. The attack was repelled, and there is no standing Zed presence outside of the hospital, though there are over 30 corpses on the ground. Area graffiti seems to be attributing these attacks to the Undeadites, a Zed group with 52 known members.--The Envoy 07:43, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

February 16th

I did a complete Necrotech scan of the suburb and doubled with the Unit's reconnaissance it has been determined that there are no more than 6-10 zeds in the area at very little times of the day, however Necrotech scans show a total of 1-3 zeds currently active in the area, this report however does not include the zeds waiting for revive. Downgrading danger level to green.--Jackson 22:54, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Someone appears to be running through Stickling Mall re-tuning all the transmitters to random frequencies. Mall defenders please keep an eye on the transmitters and re-tune them to 26.80 if you see them on another frequency.

I've seen other transmitters on undocumented frequencies as well, but did not change them because I did not know if they had been maliciously re-tuned. Groups which tune to 26.80 please document your subscription to that frequency on the relevant location page. This will allow passers-through to help you keep an eye on your transmitters.

It may be a good idea for everyone to simply carry a radio tuned to 26.80. I don't see another way to counter this tactic.--Mister Nathan Marbles 00:42, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Lots of chatter about a Big Bash moving through. Edmund General Hospital suffered a break in. Modest Zed group of about 18, though apparently organized. Many wounded survivors dragged outside.--The Envoy 03:39, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

February 10th

The neighborhood is quiet, with most of the zeds unable to make any headway, and the survivors far too sparse to do any serious zed clearing duties. Shearbank is surprisingly empty, with a pitiful number of survivors in the mall, and few still scattered across the 'burb. It seems the exodites that headed off to fight the Bash haven't returned. I suspect the neighborhood will fall swiftly when the zombies arrive. The survivors are far too dissipated to fight the bash. 03:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC) (Shackleton)

January

January 30th

Too low of a skill to do a NecroNet scan, but based on patrol, and reports from freq. 26.80, there has been increased zombie activity reported in the southern part of Shearbank in the past few days. Yesterday, a group of 11 zeds were sighted in Josephat Gen Hospital, but other then that no more then groups of 4 were occasionally sighted. Today, an organized attack on the Umbrella Corp's HQ was reported on the airwaves earlier. Reports of increased activity were confirmed when I logged in to find that the Borrer St PD had been compromised and two zeds were dragging survivors out. Since I had wasted a lot of AP scrounging for ammo a short time before, I did not take the time to venture outside to see if it was an isolated incident or a organized attack of a larger group. But it appears that the zeds have been making bolder attacks as of late. --BIGsinner 12:37, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

While there has been a slight uptick in feral zed and anarcho activity in Shearbank, let it be known that the hysterics about Fifield are over Zom's XP orgy. Survivors have protested this live fire "training" exercise in a civilized suburb, but it looks like the group has not listened to verbal protests and suggestions to move their gunplay elsewhere. Not entirely true, Scouter. We actually changed the plan in response to concerns raised on the barricade plan talk page. Sweeps of the area show that at any one time 85% chance you will not locate any groups of more than 2 undead. The area is very protected and most survivors do dare stay outside overnight and rightfully so are rarely bothered. Several border disputes in the South when battles carry over from Roachtown but are defused quickly by survivor forces. Revives are often within the hour or two that you arrive at the point! If Shearbank isn't to be green, might as well keep throwing people off and determine the zone to be red.--Jackson 19:55, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Swept the area near the mall, to find 16-20 zombies ouside it and 40+ corpses. The NW seems to be in need of a fire team sweep, so I hope we can sort something out. Together we can make Shearbank green if we try. Sorry about the lack of screenshot.ChrisForelle 20:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

NecroWatch reported scans recently from the Nisbet, Turner, and Whippey Buildings. The scans turned up an estimated 59 tagged zombies within scanning range of all three facilities. Interestingly, the scans revealed that of this number very few were actually in Shearbank. Of those zombies a majority were actually detected across the border in Roachtown, where 8 zombies were shown assaulting St. Helena's Hospital and another 5 zombies were at Croom Towers. --Mobius187 13:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

/zom/ of Anonymous declares it's intentions to use the Fifield Motel at (50-22) as a training plan in their XP leveling project, XP Orgy 2.0, as it is next to their headquarters, the Junkyard next to the mall (51,22). This involves tearing down the barricades and leaving the doors open, which some players have not taken kindly too, coming back in force and rebarricading. /zom/ encourages these people not to do so, as some other members of /zom/ are getting trigger happy and might remove such people by force. Shearbank still seems pretty quiet. The only known exception is the Turner Building, which has been broken into. Only a couple zombies and several survivors inside, but there seems to be very little being done within the last 24 hours about restoring the barricades and the generator, and dispatching the zombies that make it inside. At least one Zed has been sighted in the recent Stickling breaches, claiming Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs affiliation. It is unclear whether this Zed or other Zeds in the group are members of the current claimants to the D.A.R.I.S. name gone from PK to Zed or an artifact of the original DARIS regime. --The Envoy 21:39, 22 August 2007 (BST)

Stickling Mall is still under siege with zombies breaching every couple of minutes only to be push backed by survivors and the breach resealed, but some more men on the bottom left corner would help keep Stickling safe. Active survivors seem to be low on A.P. and only able to keep the 'cades just up, someone willing to come down and put some AP into sealing the place up would help a whole lot. What matters however is we have been able to keep the zombies at bay, A few PKers keep coming through and picking off the people close to death, so try keep everyones health at a comfortable level. No sign of D.A.R.I.S. but I think they are avoiding standing too long in Stickling Mall.

It is presume that LUE has left, and its unclear whether this is a new group or semi-organized ferals. --Annun 17:34, 22 August 2007 (BST) edited by --The Envoy 21:39, 22 August 2007 (BST)

August 20th

After about a day of breaches, a 27 Member Zed group breached Stickling Mall, occupying the western half as of this update, complicating survivor efforts to rebuild Shearbank post LUE incursion, as well as efforts to figure out the actions of D.A.R.I.S.. The Zed group has yet to be identified, and it is also unclear whether this group is in fact working under the charter of the so-called D.A.R.I.S. group. Also unclear is whether the new claimants to the DARIS name are effectively clearing the suburb, as radio chatter and discussions in DARIS documents suggest the survivors are inflicting more kills on DARIS and DARIS sympathizers than DARIS is upon the survivor population. Anti-DARIS combatants have begun to trickle into the suburb, some of whom seem invested in protecting the original DARIS reputation from sullying by this new, and apparently unrelated besides in name, organization. --The Envoy 18:25, 20 August 2007 (BST)

A new group who claim to be D.A.R.I.S. have shown up and started PKing people in Stickling Mall and spraying propaganda around Shearbank. Lazarus General Hospital has been invaded and is down. Small grounps of zombies roam most of the streets, and what buildings aren't ruined are at EHB. Stickling Mall and Edmund General Hospital have their lights on with a few zeds scattered about, but are at EHB. Local police stations are ruined. A bad time for survivors without Free Running. --Dr Spanky 19:16, 17 August 2007 (BST)

August 16th

It appears the LUE invasion is over. As of this update, radio reports over the past couple of days indicate the main LUE horde is now making its way into Caiger. Recovery operations for the Shearbank suburb and Stickling Mall are beginning as buildings are cleared. One impediment in the Mall area was the movement, though poor planning or misleading communication, of a substantial portion of the Allder Row revive queue inside the Whippey NT facility. With the large number of zeds there allegedly awaiting revives, as well as the rotters intentionally staying therein, the building can not be brought online, considerably diminishing the availability and efficient deployment of revival syringes in the suburb. --The Envoy 21:50, 16 August 2007 (BST)

Edmund General Hospital seems to be the site of intense fighting now. As a close source of medical supplies for relief to the immediate Stickling LUE impact area, its contested and unpowered status is another blow to the survivors. --The Envoy 16:10, 11 August 2007 (BST)

On my daily scouting trip I found that Meaker Lane Fire Department is now in zombie hands. It would appear that the horde is slowly moving southwards. As mentioned by The Envoy yesterday, low level 'survivors' with mainly zed skills have been identified in safehouses throughout Shearbank and some safehouses just across the Brooke Hills border.- Unema 09:16, 11 August 2007 (BST)

While Stickling Mall has indeed fallen, a considerable number of resource buildings and safe houses remain well maintained and manned throughout Shearbank. However, among the populations of those buildings, low level "surivors" with nothing but a hand full of zombie skills on their profiles have been observed mixed in with the population.--The Envoy 19:42, 10 August 2007 (BST)

Zeds waiting for revives at Male Way are being killed. With ten dead bodies there, I have to think it's more of a place for systematic slaughter than a "very efficient RP".--VivianneV 06:26, 7 August 2007 (BST)

Alder Row continues to be much less a revive point than somewhere for unfortunate survivors to go to be headshot, again and again. One realizes that silly little things like a block page indicating Alder Road as an RP are just guidelines and people shouldn't expect anything, but wouldn't it be simpler to just say 'There are no safe places to be revived, if you happen to get injected, count yourself lucky!'?

For some reason, people (especially those in the Lessey Lane Police building) do not follow barricading policy. Even after knocking down some of the barricades and telling the survivors there about the dangers of not following barricading policy, some of them continue to rebuild them up to Very Heavily Barricaded. The suburb is awash in survivors just standing and sleeping in the streets. It's hard to say whether these people are recovering from Bloomsday partying, a new suicide cult, or the consequences of what some on the radio have termed the "Yahoo Refugee Surge," the result of a covert UN program to dump the world's displaced within the confines of the Malton quarantine zone, by giving the Urban Dead game a nod in Yahoo Games's coverage of free MMORPGS.--The Envoy 15:33, 19 June 2007 (BST)

USIT RECON REPORT: While incoherent reports of survivors "tooming" "stolls" in Shearbank have been discouraging, USIT has been able to fit volunteer agents with surveillance equipment to monitor the situation post agent's demise. Our current "zombocam" has performed a pattern search confined to two blocks around Stickling Mall and, excluding known revive points, found a Zed density of 3.15 zeds per block on average. Largest concentration is the Whippey NT facility with a total of 15 zeds inside and outside the building. While survivors do not have the numbers in the suburb to reclaim Stickling or, as far as USIT can tell, any other part of Shearbank, this infestation could be easily overcome by an organized effort of not too great size.--The Envoy 02:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

USIT recon report: Individuals should still stay clear of Shearbank. Probing efforts over the past couple of days along the suburb's fringe indicate small bands of zeds disbursed throughout the suburb, attracted to powered buildings and built up cades. While MT07 does not have the density it had around the mall during the height of the siege, zeds are well distributed through out the burb to still be dangerous to individuals and small groups. Recovery operations will require a substantially larger force than those currently committed.--The Envoy 15:55, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

February 23rd

As the suburb of Shearbank evidently falls into chaos following the collapse of the Stickling/Whippey siege defense, Fliers have cropped up identifying areas outside of Shearbank where survivors may seek revival, sanctuary, and revenge against MT07 and all other comers. (For those who can't decode the IC post, the link goes to a section of the discussion page I set up to route announcements recruiting and directing survivors to other areas.) In related news, the holding action at Ranahan has fallen as well as the Farrant Crescent PD. It is unclear whether there is organized resistance anywhere else, suggesting the whole suburb is now effectively lost.--The Envoy 14:54, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

With the fall of Stickling, an odd last stand of sorts is apparently being fought by a few survivors at Ranahan library. It is unclear whether this stance is some sort of "middle finger" being thrust at MT07, or a diversion for the organization of an eventual recovery mission into the ransacked area. At the time of this report, 7 zombies had breached the interior, with 60+ survivors dispersed among the library stacks.--The Envoy 12:41, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

As of this message, the Zombie horde is curiously split. 200 zeds are outside Whippey, while 172 Zeds stand outside the SE quadrant of Stickling. As infection during this reconnaissance prohibeted further exploration, and radio transmissions from the mall area have been silenced due to lack of power and sabotage, it is not immediately clear how survivor tactics are addressing the Zed deployment.--The Envoy 15:52, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Zombies continually adjust their tactics to hit the weakest corner of the mall. The Malton Rangers, C4NT, and The Lime Brigade, along with other local groups continue to adjust their defense strategies accordingly. Neutral facts. Fact: Mall Tour and their allied PKers have shifted targets from Whippey to SE Stickling. Fact: active defense groups such as Lime Brigade have now adjusted to counter this tactic. Fact: given the current number of survivors inside SE and zombies outside, zombies do not have sufficent power to bust through and ransack. Fact: this siege has been going on for over three weeks now, with the mall holding strong against over 300 zombies and their PK/GK friends. --Pchem 23:42, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Urgent: Survivors are concentrated in the North-East Corner and Whippey, while the other corners are pitifully weak. zeds have half of the mall now some one get here and help me Neji 22:06, 15 February 2007 (UCT)

In light of over-cading of entry points, graffiti and radio have been debating whether to abandon entry point barricading entirely, a ransacked building allowing the same access to fortified mall complexes as a VS entry point. This of course would sacrifice safe harbors for inexperienced survivors, but proponents of the barricade policy change insist such survivors don't belong anywhere near a mall siege. No official modification of the suburb's barricade plan has been made, and the debate seems to come down to an argument between non-Shearbank residents in Shearbank for the siege advocating abandonment of fortified entryways, and long-term Shearbank residents insisting entryways maintain their current 'cade designation. USIT analysts believe the change in policy would not change the frequency of overcading incidents, and would likely just waste more AP in defender dismantling of cades instead of wearing them to a VS level.

In other news, while resistance against Mall Tour '07 is still operating at vigorous strength, fliers have been distributed in the mall suggesting fallback NT facilities for emergency syringe procurement in the event of Whippey NT's fall. Both the Hawkley NT facility in Millen Hills and Nisbet NT in southeast Shearbank are four blocks from Stickling. When Whippey and the mall were lost to [Shacknews], these two facilities allowed relief forces to aid surivors' evacuation and eventual reclamation of the suburb.--The Envoy 21:49, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Wow, I wonder which survivor group was powerful enough to flatten over 270 zombies? Anyways, a quick NecroNet shows 298 zombies outside Whippey, 14 outside NW Stickling, 6 outside Farrant and 29 standing at Alder. --Zokolate 13:47, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Survivors! NW 105, NE 219, SW 83, SE 82. Whippey 198, St Chris 5. 20+ in Dundas and Nisbet. 10+ in Meaker, Borrer and Farrant. zombies! Whippey 273 standing, 149 lying. St Chris 13 standing, 50 lying. Alder 31 standing 59 lying. Odds! About 750 survivors to 485 zombies, thus zombie numbers are quite constant, but survivor numbers are up a little (even though my scouting run was wider this time). --Zokolate 12:40, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

February 13th

Despite the hundreds of Zeds pounding away outside the survivors have done the impossible. All 4 corners of Stickling, the Whippey building, and multiple other nearby buildings are all lit. Though the situation is expected to change at any moment, it is a good indicator of who is on top during this seige. Redwave 12:25, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

There is a huge contrast between the mall and Whippey versus the rest of the suburb. A small group of zombies burst into Owlsey Crescent PD, and there have been some small break-ins at the Turner Building NT, in the Southern end of the Suburb. -Mark D. Stroyer 18:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Problems with getting inside the mall. EPs too strongly barricaded. Might be that the PKers and GKers are responsible... --Jim Bim

A massive crowd of zombies is outside Whippey, but there are now 200+ survivors inside Whippey (a new milestone). The largest coordinated attack of zombies today was repulsed with less than 15 zombies getting inside. While there are many standing zombies at Allder, most of those are brain rotters or other zeds from the Mall Tour, and any survivor revivification request at Allder using the DEM Tool has an extremely short wait time. Stickling and Shearbank are still holding strong, weeks into the siege. --Pchem 02:18, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

As of now there are 100 zeds ouside NW corner of the mall with about 157 outside whippy and a few stragglers north of it. The revive point at Allder Row is doing good. --Vidad12 18:06, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Caiger has fallen. Perhaps it was a distraction from Stickling, who knows. The point is, the bulk of Mall Tour '07 is here, it's too late to save Caiger, and we're losing valuable resources fast. This isn't a siege; it's a freaking war. Guys, the 'cades at Whippey are falling by the second; I watched 10 AP of hard work go to hell before my eyes. We're not going to end this siege right away by taking down the crowds outside Nichols. If we lose Whippey for good, though, we're done. We need toorganize. Rangers and whoever you're fighting with, Envoy or whatever, you guys need to set aside your differences for a while. Stickling's going fast, and unless we can retake Whippey, it's over. If you're looking for some XP, there're more than enough zeds breaking into Whippey for you to take down. Forget everything else; all unit converge on Whippey! --HereticSoul 01:57, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Im standing outside the beseiged Whippey building as the struggle for Stickling Mall continues. Survivors are hinting that the result of the conflict depends on the fate of the NT facility. Also rumors are being heard here in Shearbank that Caiger Mall has fallen into zombie hands, if this is true Stickling could be further plunged into chaos if an exodus of refugees and blood thirsty ghouls heads this way. I'm Zed Chunder. --Zombie Reporter Guy For Chomp News 22:05, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Whippey building needs help badly. --Darth Cheney Malton Rangers 00:23, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

The zombies outside Stickling have changed up their tactics to a strategy more akin to the last successful mall siege, concentrating their efforts on taking out the adjacent NT facility before attempting to overrun the mall with walking death. --The Envoy 00:03, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

February 5th

Not much has changed since DHG's update. Standing zombies outside the mall are in the 150-200 range, but there are many hundreds more survivors inside than there are zombies outside. Stickling is well populated and not losing defenders. GKing is common, but so are newly found generators. Revives at Allder are still more or less instantaneous. --Pchem 22:07, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Zombie numbers outside the mall continue to swell, but the Malton Rangers are arriving in force to aide their classy allies in the Channel 4 News Team and The Lime Brigade. Frequency of Breakins is indeed increasing, as are the numbers in the mall. Expect a long, bloody, siege. --General Lee A. Dickhole Malton Rangers 01:16, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

According to all available information, the notorious PKer and GKer Eric Harris has indeed left his former ways behind. While the possibility of a deception is still present, I have corresponded directly with Mr. Harris, and received statements to the effect that he will no longer be killing and destroying within Malton. As such, he should no longer be a target for anti-PKing activities unless he resumes his earlier destructive ways. --J Muller 21:56, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

S.T.A.R.S Hunter Killer teams have been dispatched to aid the defence of Stickling. This is in response to a call for aid recieved over S.T.A.R.S radio. They should arrive within 2 days. --Meinstorm 20:18, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Mall Tour 07 is here and are currantly laying seige to the NW corner of Stickling Mall with 101 Zeds. If this is all they have got i say bring it on. --Vidad12 14:45, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Public Service Announcement from USIT Shearbank Station Chief The Envoy, who's nowhere near Shearbank at the moment, as he's performing reconnaissance elsewhere: In light of the UK OFFCOM's suspension of pretty much all radio communication and electromagnetic spectrum regulations within Malton, and admitting that the latter has been useful to USIT (though we deny any official role in the regulatory agency's action), don't believe everything you hear on the radio. Apparently some still practice mass media credulity in even these incredulous times, so don't believe everything you read in the news either.--The Envoy 14:43, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Already a deeply suspicious group, USIT formally announced today over Shearbank's radio frequency that they are officially harboring the infamous PKer and GKer Eric Harris as, they allege, he has now "turned over a new leaf". Not only are they harbouring this person, but they have also announced their intent to exact terminal retribution from any survivor in the suburb who might decide Harris still has crimes to pay for.

In the interest of fairness it should be noted that per the DEM's Rogues Gallery, Harris no longer has any outstanding bounties and should not therefore be a target for any bounty hunters in the employ of any DEM branch. --Kal 23:51, 28 January 2007 (UTC) (Jimmy "Two Stacks", MFD Captain, Shearbank)

Please note the news page is NPOV. If you wish to offer an opinion on or entertain discussion about the barricade plan for the suburb or even the placement of it's page, a page exists to do exactly that, the news page is not it. --Kal 13:34, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Shearbank is so secure that many buildings are simply overbarricaded. We have too many barricades! Please, check the Shearbank Barricade Plan before erecting 'cades past VSB. That would be easier if the plan was actually visible on this page instead of having to visit a different one... --Pchem 19:30, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Okay this is my first time doing this. Owsley Crescent Police Department has been extremely heavily barricaded and that being the closest accessible P.D. is not a great idea, I and some others are low or out of ammunition and have to either head north for ammo or leave the area to get some then make the long some what dandrous trek back. -- Almorto 08:51, 28 January 2007

January 26th

Spotted some large hordes of zombies several groups numbering over 40 just north of Shearbank they could be headed on their way down but after recently going through Ridleybank, which is extremely heavily baricaded, this may just be a pitstop for them to head back and reclaim thier homelands. I have no idea what's going on but it appears that their on the move again. --Keith 921 05:47, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

I was just on my way back from picking up some FAK's when i saw the most amazing thing, RevivalOfTheFittest's body. I thought he would never be killed, thank you whoever done that, if there was some way i could kiss you i would, of course if it was a zombie i'll just give them a hug. I wouldn't want to smell that breath. --Vidad12 19:50, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

It seems reports of PKing coming in via the radio have been greatly overstated. There are certainly quite a number of PKers about - but there's also a huge number of MCDU in the area - perhaps to take care of the problem? --Kal 16:50, 19 January 2007 (UTC) (Jimmy "Two Stacks", MFD Captain, Shearbank)

Just want to say that me and Keith have reastableshed the Black Knights but nothing much is happening yet. Apart from that aint much been going on around here to talk about, except mabye the overbaricading at some places but thats always a prblem, aint even that many zeds around, Revival hasen't even bothered us or anyone else from what i hear. I heard somthing on my radio about Mall Tour 07 but i haven't got any details, if i do hear somthing i'll let you all know. --Vidad12 17:35, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Note to all survivors: Remember that overbarricading kills. It doesn't kill just newbies, it kills everyone. Before you do anything else every day, check the nearest entry point and make sure it is in accordance with the Shearbank Barricade Plan. If it's higher, lower it to VS. Make sure an entry point tag is on the inside. It doesn't do any good on the outside. -Mark 19:35, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Having returned from a vacation to warmer and zombie-free climes, i was pleased to see the restoration of shearbank complete, with survivor levels up to pre-shacknews levels, and RP's are efficient and nearly empty.

Approved by KaminoBob. Poorly.

It's been said before, but i'll put my stamp of approval on it. This suburb is again in human hands. --Kaminobob 08:34, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

USIT Reconnaissance has also witnessed the "random" transmitter tunings. While it is possible there is some sort of organized disinformation campaign occurring in Shearbank, it is also likely that this is a product of the large number of RK activity still occuring at the hands and crowbars of anarchist agitators in the suburb. When a replacement transmitter is put online, remember to set the transmitter to an established frequency, otherwise you're only speaking to the ether. 26.80 is the frequency endorsed by USIT and RFLMAO. All operators should be alert to their transmitter tunings before broadcast.--The Envoy 16:21, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Overbarricading is once more rearing it's ugly head. In a lengthy patrol of central and northern Shearbank, virtually every intended entry point on the barricade plan was at EHB. Time to break out the crowbar. Fortunately the zombie threat seems to be fairly minimal at present, but it only takes one zombie to kill a survivor trapped outside due to overzealous barricading by their fellow survivors. Also of note, many of the city's radio transmitters are being re-tuned to seemingly random frequencies, and tags containing useful information are being overwritten with bizzare slogans and unreadable non-western characters. Has disinformation become the "new" GKing? --Kal 14:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC) , MFD Captain, Shearbank.

Suburb appears void of standing zombies though many bodies litter the streets, most smell strange and are gathered at known RPs. What happened here? Stickling Mall is clear inside/outside & caded to EHB - Euphoriakill, MFD Edgecombe Captain, MEMS SE-2 Specialist, EEMS Tactician

New Years seems to mark the continuation of a holiday stability in Shearbank. No significant zombie activity to report. No warfare between survivor groups. Seems the only conflicts are over what frequencies radios and transmitters should be tuned to.--The Envoy 16:23, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
