Templates

I know it is confusing (and it tripped me up a few times) but people make templates of just text so that they can have a section of the page that isn't editable on that page or so that they can easily repeat text or formatting. I think a few of the admin sites have locked templates at the top with the posting information and the bottom is a regular page. Thanks for trying to help though! Recruitment page Area 51

On your Recruitment page you have some text on the top that imitates the text you see in Urban Dead, the "You scroll down to find a..." part. It is great as is, I just thought I'd let you know that there is a template that you can use to enter in Urban Dead like text that is extremely close to the real thing. It's Template:ud. On the image BloodSmearHand and template

Hai, this is Tarman of the RRF. I just saw [1] this, recently used by one of my team's new recruits and was wondering if you created it. It's modeled after a poster I did for the RRF Agitprop Ministry [2] . While I don't mind, I'm wondering how it got made in the first place, whether you saw it here or on Barhah.com. More a detective game and a shout out than a hunt for vengeance - I think it's cool that it was good enough to steal :D . I first got it from Nubis's Sandbox because I did a touch up on it for him. He wanted it to have the correct words of "human" and "zombie" instead of "harman" and "zombah". I liked it both ways and I have always been a supported of the bloodsmear graffiti so I decided to make a template with the picture. I looked around for who to credit with the picture so I could give it to them, and would be able to ask them permission for using it, but I could find a definite source. I hope you aren't even in the slightest bit mad, I didn't mean to steal it I just liked the picture. I as well hope that the graffiti will one day be a reality. My Signature

This is where you'll find the signature policy.

Please take the time to look at the two sections, namely "What wouldn't be allowed" and "What would be allowed".

Let's go through, for your sake of mind, what isn't allowed:
Signatures which have images higher then 14 pixels high. - There are no images.
Signatures which generally break the wiki in some way either through formatting or other means. - Nope, it doesn't do that.
Signatures which impersonate another user. - Nope, mine is the only user name there.
Signatures which link to any of the following special pages: Special:Userlogout or Special:BlockIP. - There are no links to those special pages.
Signatures which link to external links that perform malicious actions (closing the browser for example). - Are you reading this? Then it's not closing your browser.
Signatures which contain images larger then 50kb. - My sig has no images in it.

Having confirmed that there's nothing in it that isn't allowed, let's look at what would be allowed:
Anything that doesn't come under what isn't allowed. - Oh, look, it appears my sig is legal.

And even if it wasn't, I'd have a week before you could bring a case under this section:
The user of the signature will be warned once and asked to change it. The user has one week to comply. If the user does not change the signature then a vandalism case will be brought forth where the user may receive a warning or banning in accordance to the vandalism page. The user has three days to comply extending out till when they next sign, if they continue to sign with said signature then they will be referred for another vandalism case.

I find it more fun to point out all the flaws in mini-rants, and then shut down the authors if they get pissed at you. I used to do that when I could stomach more than four suggestions per read.
