There is evidence of spillover from activity in Raines Hills. Bucknall hotel was recently ruined, cades are now up but the power is out and it is abandoned. Slight damage to a junkyard fence was observed but this may have been a survivor bringing it into compliance with the barricade plan. Will do more recon later today.(edit: the damage is not in concordance with the barricade plan. The neighboring junkyard is over-caded though.) Destroyerofminds 01:41, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

While the Harenc Building is enjoying peace and quietness of the Raines Hills border to the South, the Haslock Building has everything but tranquility. It is under heavy attacks from zombies, murderers, and saboteurs alike. There was one break-in, two innocents killed, and three generators destroyed during the past 24 hours. Despite all the challenges, survivors inside, numbering about 60, still hold the ground against 15 hostile zombies. And the power sabotages were quickly fixed. -- Kittithaj 04:30, 15 October 2009 (BST)

All two NecroTech buildings, all two hospitals, all two fire stations, and the mobile phone mast of Chancelwood are safe and powered. The dead gather in the Western part of the suburb, which is neglected due to the lack of important resource buildings. Many zombies are outside the factory, and are able to break in daily. But their uncoordinated, individualistic attacks are unsuccessful, and they are quickly driven out. Most other buildings are safe. Overbarricading and the lack of power is prevalent over the suburb, though. -- Kittithaj 13:52, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

November 29th
A defiant handful of THEM survivors stand in the way of the growing horde of zombies at the Haslock Building NT. Defiantly they jeer at the horde with songs. The zombies silently stand to, biding their time, but knowing full well what will be in store for them inside: a brave group of 100 surviving defenders that will attempt to resist at all costs. The horde has grown to a number of 85 now. --FLZombie 01:54, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- A dead handful of THEM (and other) survivors no longer stand in the way of the growing horde of zombies inside the Haslock Building NT. One hour after The Militant Order of Barhah tore down the puny barricades, almost 40 of the jeering survivors are dead or have run away, while more than 35 zombies eat, sing, and otherwise party inside; ignoring the rude screams and obscene gestures of the humans. --Grogh 04:56, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- The horde has grown to over 100 strong at this time. An initial smaller probing attack at the Haslock Building NT of a few hours ago seemed to have lulled the defenders into overconfidence. Jeering, bravado and foul language quickly fizzled out when a later - much larger - strike came and almost thirty zombies made their way in within seconds. What was initially seen as an organized resistance has now turned into utter chaos. With dozens of zombies holding the doors open, very little can be done to stem the tide of this battle. Zombies could be heard groaning birthday celebrations to the MOB prophet. --FLZombie 05:26, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- The survivor:zombie ratio has hit 1:1 as 47 zombies are now inside the NT with 47 survivors. At least 35 of those zombies are from The Militant Order of Barhah, in Chancelwood for the celebarhahtion of The Prophet's birthday. -- Grogh 06:06, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- There are just 7 survivors left inside Haslock NT, some THEM defenders doing their best to fight valiantly. Unfortunately there are also 87 zombies inside and this building is truly lost --TouchingVirus 13:22, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- The place is now ruined, with 90 zombies inside. --FLZombie 15:18, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

The Dulston zombie horde, which is currently attacking Raines Hills, as well as the MOB in Earletown, appear to be spilling over into Chanselwood. Chancelwood is a hub of survivor activity. Well connected survivors occupy all notable buildings in the suburb and numbers appear to be on the increase due to the lack of zombies. NecroWatch reported increased zombie activity at, and around, the Haslock Building. A recent NecroNet report from the facility showed that 57 zombies were directly assaulting the building, while another 82 zombies shambled in nearby blocks crossing over into Earletown. Of these other zombies, 18 were attacking St. Louis's Hospital, while 13 assaulted the Surtees Building. The remaining zombies were mostly scattered in smaller numbers. It should be noted that 9 of the reported zombies were inside Curton Mansion, but it is unclear whether they were seeking revival or simply holding the building. The increased zombie activity is being blamed on the Militant Order of Barhah.

The situation on the ground is reaching critical point in Chancelwood today as the Dunstan Hospital and its adjoining Orders Crescent Police Dept are now destroyed with heavy survivor losses leaving the Haslock NT on the town's eastern border and its free run into Earletown the last remaining bastion for the town's defense. However, the valiant Chancelwood defense forces remain strong and defiant in the face of growing zombie numbers led by several coordinated mobs including Extinction and the Mmm Braanz Tahr amongst others. --Zeug 10:53, 4 September 2007 (BST)

A small band of Dead Dudes and a few survivors have lit up a building in Chancelwood in open defiance of the horde. Survivors are asked that if they find a concentration of zeds in a building, to close the doors, cade it up, and go back to it to kill them at their leiusre. Never dump the bodys outside. Theyll waste AP standing up, and waste AP bringing down the cades. It'll mean zeds will have to go help, buying breathing space. .--Baron Red 20:10, 3 September 2007 (BST)
- Never dump the bodys outside. I hope you meant always dump the body outside. Why in the heck would anyone want a zombie rising in the midst in a building with full HP? Is it your intention to abandon the building, move all survivors out, and hope to slow the hordes down? You do know that Zombies can jump from windows, don't you? So if a Zed wakes up in a barricaded building with no one else there, they can spend time taking down the barricades (which is easier to do from inside) and ruining the building. Overall in this case you just SAVED them AP. Or if part of an organized group, they simply jump out the window, the same AP they would have to expend to leave the building, and head to the building where the survivors are hiding in fear. If this is the tactics in use by the Dead Dudes, no wonder your group was crushed so quickly and easily. --Wke235 05:36, 4 September 2007 (BST)
- They cant jump from the windows in smaller buildings like warehouses. There were a pair of 60hp zeds, so we barricaded them in. It proved as a distraction, and we popped in to kill them.
Dead Dudes as a group has not been crushed and is still operating. We lost our HQ because of a co-ordianted Extinction attack at a set time. None of us were online. It was unfortunate. We had our cades at VS to allows new players somehwere to sleep. So how have we saved them AP? They cant walk out can they? They have to use AP to get rid of the cades. Pluss the building all caded up provided a nice little distraction while we AP camped and moved on to help our allies. --Mongoose 18:33, 4 September 2007 (BST)
- Lol. Sorry to dissappoint you, but we zombies CAN walk out of heavily barricaded buildings. The same exiting mechanics that apply to survivors apply to zombies. If you read the page about barricades: "Any player, whether zombie or human, can leave any building at any time. It is impossible to get trapped inside. Simply click on any adjacent square to leave a building." -- Mordac the Refuser 22:16, 4 September 2007 (BST)
- ROFL! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by St Rafty (talk • contribs) at an unknown time.
- As I said, the Dead Dudes tactics and plans are sorely lacking in a basic understanding of the game mechanics. Look how quickly the hospital fell with large survivor losses to a coordinated Zed attack. As long as Dead Dudes keep planning things and rallying folks to follow their plans, well, they seem the be the Zeds best allies right now. --Wke235 07:04, 5 September 2007 (BST)
- We were not at the hospital. DD had nothing to do with that area. We were in Northern Chancelwood with some survivors. We said nothing, just caded and killed zeds. It eventually fell. But alas thats wahts happening at the moment. CO-Ordianted zeds break down the cades due to the fact the majority of survivors are not present at the time. You say Dead Dudes, so you tarnish all of us with what your saying? I will admit, I didnt know zeds could jump out of buildings that were caded to such a high level. I thought perhaps they couldnt. Mybad. Still costs them AP getting up again if they jump lol. Or am I wrong?--St Rafty 23:19, 5 September 2007 (BST)

Much of western Chancelwood lies in ruins with remnants of survivor resistance still holding out around the ruined Harenc NT. The feral tide that smashed its way through Lamport Hills the last few days is now lapping up against the town's eastern border with the Chancelwood defense forces determined to stand their ground at the Haslock NT and St Louis's Hospital which remain well manned and barricaded. Zombie numbers are growing by the hour however and a last ditch battle for the survival of Chancelwood is imminent.--Zeug 08:59, 2 September 2007 (BST)
Survivors are urged to be alert around the later time zones for the assaults. Also are advised to leave the buildings to attack the zeds in the street before returning. Hiding behind great walls will cost you your lives.
- As for NEWs. Many less important buildings have been ruined as well as half of the Mansion, however the Haslock NT as well as the Dunstian Hospital remain barricaded and powered. Many of the horde has passed through into Earletown. Advise that surivors instead go to seige tactics and only attack break ins due to the large zed force moving through the area. --Rogue 17:32, 3 September 2007 (BST)
September 1st
Be advised. The organised Horde log on at roughly the same time to overwelm survivors. At 20GMT, so now after eading this expect it a few hours before or after. Survivors are urged to keep at VS and to rally forward and take the fight to the zeds before falling back. Instead of hiding behind cades waiting to die.--St Rafty 00:53, 1 September 2007 (BST)
Twenty zeds are waiting to be revived at the Parrot Place, but the Harenc Building seems completely ransacked as other building near this NT. It´s neccesary that all building are empty of zeds to be repaired. I invite all the zeds that want to be revived to spend their AP protecting this zone, before looking for a new revive point --Isgaru 19:53, 1 September 2007 (BST)
Be advised that St Rafty is the same one who was making grand defense plans and talking a lot in Lamport Hills, throwing up threats to the Zeds, yada, yada, yada. And you can see how well THAT turned out. You see, Rafty hasn't figured out yet that some of his own people are working with the Zeds, and are taking down the barricades from the INSIDE, weakening them so the Zeds can get in. Inviting any survivor from Lamport into your shelter is the same as inviting in death. Also you should note that several PKer groups have allied themselves with the Zeds. For example D.A.R.I.S has worked with the zeds in shearbank to clear all non-members out of the suburb that they claim. This is so funny, as every single person standing in a building with you might be plotting your downfall right now. Sleep tight... :-)
- Yawns* I'm not going to give anything away. Only LHC knew what the radio messages meant. Some survivors are organised, and DD were not going to be provoked into saying things to counter petty rivalries on a history board. Because then the zeds would know the difference between talking in open in front of zed spys and talking in private on forums. Alas if the Zeds cant break down cades and have to send people to work on the inside then so be it. But I never saw any cades fall due to survivors. Anyways, to not spam this "history board" anymore then it has been allready. Atleast sign your comments, thats a nice zed.
Chancelwood still appears to be in Survivor hands for the most part. Survivors are advised to form groups, and to work together. As always the Zed propoganda machine is going on and on. --The Moose 01:19, 2 September 2007 (BST)

We ask that the most organised group contacts us ammediatly so we can organise a defence of this suberb. You guys are next. We hope we can spare you the fate of Lamport Hills. Expect heavy fall out over the next few days.--St Rafty 00:47, 31 August 2007 (BST)
Rodges Stadium was completely taken. I don't know how. It was 3/4 EHB and one VSB last night. I logged on and was dead. SE corner of stadium is ruined and all of the stadium is occupied. My friend Jin reported to me that he was: "damaged in the NE corner of the stadium by zombies and pked by Lukepoker" a Philosophe Knight(http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Philosophe_Knights). We both moved to Parrott Plaza and are awaiting revive.
I don't what happened to the rest of the survivors there and I have been informed there are only one or two Columbus Blue Jackets active. My boys and I are moving east to level up before trying to take it back. Good luck all! --Arthur Cajucom 22:42, 31 August 2007 (BST)

There seems to be an increasing number of zeds in the south of Chancelwood with not very many survivors to hold them back. The hospital has been broken into by a mob of at least 14 zeds. There's only one inside now and it's loosely barricaded.
July 7th
Survivors are virtually safe in Chancelwood right now. Not many zeds roaming. Also not sure about Curton Mansion, I guess it could be overrun with zeds and I wouldn't know.
July 3rd
Things have quieted down a wee bit... Zeds are being murdered on a regular basis. Curton Mansion is still not safe though...

Packs of zeds roaming now, 7 in number. People in the Firminger Hotel are getting dragged out into the street...

Curton Mansion is worthless right now, bodies are everywhere. Zeds roam in packs of 2s, 3s and 5s. I don't think I'll make it out anytime soon personally. Good luck to the rest of you stuck in there. If zed presence grows anymore... well, it just wouldn't be pretty. Where are all the B-Town Boys!?
June 25th
scattered zeds, generally 2 or 3 at a time. have yet to find large group of survivors.

Curton Mansion is a functioning indoor revive clinic. Its kept open to provide revivification for all willing. Multiple attempts of Pkers, zed spies and trouble makers to violate revivification efforts were foiled. Articulo Mortis and the B-Town Boyz are still the leading groups in providing a smooth functioning revive clinic. Recently, BOW joined the combined efforts in keeping the clinic running and making the area more save. However, the cooperation and involvement of all survivors in the area seems to make the difference.

Increased RRF and zed groups from Lamport Hills and Raines Hills are beginnging to threaten the safety of Chancelwood as well. A cautionary safety tale for those assuming this to be a fairly threat-free area. Raines Hills could be attempting to control its greater area in an attempt to create a second Homeland.

Survivors are warned to stay clear of the Haslock Building NT facility. Likewise zeds hoping to return to real life are warned to avoid the revive point at Curton Mansion. The survivors maintaining these sites are prone to PKing for imagined offenses and based on the word of "problem characters." After spending a week in their company, making daily patrols of the mansion to check graffiti and destroy cades, and using all spare AP to manufacture syringes, I was PK'd after a zombie spy falsely denounced me as having revived him. These people are paranoid, reactionary, and use the slightest pretense, such as building a barricade in Curtis Mansion, as an excuse to PK. Avoid at all costs.

Chancelwood is fairly safe, only being a few small packs of roaming zombies.

Survivors are working around the clock to try and bring the suburb back up and running. Curton Mansion has been turned into a major revive zone. Rodges Stadium is in need of people. Hopes of Rodges Stadium being turned into Chancelwood’s major fortress as been discussed. Right now things are looking good. A few zombies are still in Chancelwood possible looking to be revived.

Zombie sightings had been on the increase for several days. Sentries picked off the first few packs to arrive, and barricading detail was stepped up. Survivors at Orders PD suspected the murderers and zombie sympathisers that had infiltrated Raines Hills of late might be an advance party for a greater zombie incursion - and they were right. On September 9th and 10th, St.Louis's Hospital adjacent to Curton Mansion fell to a zombie mob numbering two dozen, and the Haslock Building Necrotech lab was under siege. Organised survivors led by the B-Town Boys are manning the barricades and attempting to take back the hospital from the undead.

The last days of summer in Chancelwood, and the weather remains warm. Well organised and armed Chancelwood survivors patrol Curton Mansion, ministering to the zombies at the revive stations and briefly tending their vegetable gardens in the Mansion's grounds and Hathaway Park, with lookouts posted to warn of approaching shamblers. A lack of rain means a smaller crop than hoped for, but any fresh produce, however small and dessicated, is better than none. Raiding parties bring back sufficient ammunition and fuel from downtown to keep the survivors' bolt holes comfortable and well protected. Zombie attacks are easily repelled, and barricades torn down are quickly replaced. The survivors know the zombies will get up again every time they're knocked down, but they also know the zombies will never gain the upper hand in their suburb. It's stalemate, which is good enough for the survivors who, after all, want to survive.

The situation in Chancelwood has been stabilised. Survivors are maintaining a tight ring of barricades surrounding Curton Mansion, which is still being run as a revive station and entry point. The restless dead are under control in the suburb, with only a small band of persistent cortex-damaged zombies that won't go away. The shopping round here isn't terribly good, but we do okay, with a hospital on our doorstep and an industrial park nearby, and a police department we can walk to and from in a day that still has a well-stocked armoury. There are organised groups of survivors here, working together, and it looks like we'll be staying for the duration.

Zombie incursion overnight into St.Louis's Hospital. The wounded were dragged out and killed. Survivors are still operating a revivification station inside Curton Mansion, with zombie attacks occurring almost daily. The situation can be stabilised if survivors organise and get a tight ring of barricades in the buildings surrounding the mansion, keeping the four wings of the mansion open as both a revive point and an entry point. Nearby buildings useful as bolt-holes and scavenging points need to be fortified, lit and powered with portable generators and fuel. A minimum of four key buildings (survivors will know which) need to be powered up for adequate resourcing; any more would be a bonus. All this needs to be done bearing in mind that zombies can and will attack at any time.

Cutler Towers is not safe any longer. Zombies have taken up residence inside. Chancelwood seems to be full of dispersed zombies, with 1-2 here, there, and everywhere. Good place to go zed hunting with even a small group. Curton Mansion has a few zombies in it. Rodges Stadium had survivors in it with minimal barricading.

Malton MoshPit leader Dignant Has claimed the Suburb of Chancelwood as MoshPit Territory and he has began an attempt to secure chancelwood under rule of the MoshPit.
To read their story, simply read them on The Radio Free Malton Page.
Recently, Snaku Pliskin tried securing 'Curton Mansion' located in this suburb. After several days of intense fighting--He failed. However; After days of being of the undead. A kind soul revived him and now he continues his struggle, either securing Chancelwood or wandering the city.
The RFM Expeditionary Team were also recently in Chancelwood, and successfully barricaded and held out in Curton Mansion for two long weeks. They have since headed south, but have left their marks, and will always remember the place with fond memories.
