I am trying to help the wiki and you will not ban this malicious user. This was NOT bad faith: I was simply going through and reverting all of his slash crap, why turn on me about this? He is using a proxy and making a bunch of slashes and everything, why don't you just ban the proxy already?--Gage 00:40, 30 September 2006 (BST)
I'm making the point that you can't delete a users comments, i'd already reverted the slashes here. You notice i'm not complaining about your Suggestions page edits.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 00:44, 30 September 2006 (BST)

Barbecue Barbecue (talk | contribs | logs | block | IP Check | vndl data | discuss) Removed a VB case. Cyberbob  Talk  13:37, 28 September 2006 (BST)

I removed my own VB case comments because I decided they weren't worth it. If you read what I removed, it was, in total, a bad diff link I initially posted, then corrected in response to a comment that the link was bad, and then decided the whole thing was just a muck up not worth retaining. If that decision was wrong, my apologies, and carry on. Barbecue Barbecue 15:41, 28 September 2006 (BST)
Doesn't matter. VB cases are not removed. Ever. However... since you're relatively new to the wiki, I'd be happy if you only got a slap on the wrist. Cyberbob  Talk  15:54, 28 September 2006 (BST)

(He's done the same on some of yesterday's suggestions, but I haven't checked further.)

--Funt Solo 13:34, 28 September 2006 (BST)

Votes are to be formatted so that they are using a Pound sign and bolded with the appropriate (or semi-appropriate) phrase. The Blink template is not appropriate. Editing Xoid's text would be editing Xoid's text, not formatting a vote; Arguement failed. --Karlsbad 06:01, 28 September 2006 (BST)

Did that hacker plant a virus or something? I see at least 3 people here(including me) who has slashes somewhere...indicating possible proxy... --Axe Hack 04:26, 28 September 2006 (BST)
Just that the hacker is using a proxy. I'll ban the proxy under Gold Blade's account, if there is one, or Gold Blade himself if there is not — any halfwit can set up a firewall to prevent this sort of crap and brute strength password cracking takes tremendous amounts of processing power, so I'm certain it isn't the latter, meaning that it's lax security on your part. –Xoid STFU! 05:52, 28 September 2006 (BST)
Proxy evidence. --CaptainM 05:55, 28 September 2006 (BST)
No alternate IPs under Gold Blade, according to CheckUser that is. If the other guy was really hacking Gold Blade, he's managed to actually get into GB's computer. Meaning that Gold Blade's security was lax, and that banning Gold Blade as a security precaution is a good idea. Upon re-reading this case, it seems Karlsbad already did. –Xoid STFU! 06:04, 28 September 2006 (BST)
The only explanation I can think of is that it was Gold Blade playing a very un funny joke, or foolishly providing someone remote access. The latter being highly unlikely. --CaptainM 06:13, 28 September 2006 (BST)

If Gold Blade is playing a joke, Axe Hack is in on it. What should be done in response to their gross abuse of M/VB? Cyberbob  Talk  13:29, 28 September 2006 (BST)

... How is that a joke? Jjames has stirred up a shitstorm not seen since Wikigate, and Scinfaxi's taking a lot of the flak because of it. Seems like perfectly reasonable ground for an arbitiration case. Flareblade77 RKZHUDORIS 00:17, 28 September 2006 (BST)

This is a serious arbitration, and I am considering you as an arbitrator Gage. Also, I file a case against roommates. He stabbed me in the heart, cold-blooded. Now we're going to argue it out over the wiki till only one of us is left alive (or unbanned). It's gonna be like the fucking highlander. Really though, the case has merit. It has no real merit, but it is serious. How is this vandalism? Wow, you sure know how to ensure you keep your trophy. --Gold Blade 02:44, 28 September 2006 (BST)
Intent is the key behind vandalism. I think his case was in good faith, I just don't think it is valid. I don't believe that's vandalism, but I've been wrong about that before. Jjames was told by a moderator that peolpe calling him Scinfax (or whoever) was vandalism, and so he put up the cases doing so. Hagnat ruled on Gold Blade's case, however it's obviously absurd that Gold Blade got banned for calling Jjams Scinfax, especialy after Hagnat ruling differently on a different users case where the exact same thing occured. There is now a case under Misconduct. Thats about it really. - Jedaz - 04:28/26/04/2024 10:43, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Gold Blade unbanned, Gage unwarned. Done. Cyberbob  Talk  15:03, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Are you aware that the only reason hagnat said he would unban gage is because karl had already ruled on it? This is not a valid ruling, as karl has been in arbitration for calling me scinfaxi too. He is biased. Gage was fairly warned for making joke reports including gold blade and amazing, who already has a permaban. Look at his case, he deserves a warning as do the people I brought to vandal banning. Please take a look at karlsbad's misconduct case so that we can just deal with this and move on.Jjames 18:31, 25 September 2006 (BST)
It might just be that the other moderators agree with my ruling, james. --Karlsbad 19:11, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Jjames, this wasn't an act of bad faith on anyone's part. It was all a huge misunderstanding. I was made a (rather dumb, in retrospect) joke, Gage missed the sarcasam and made a serious report, Hagnat missed that I said it was something else, and you thought that Gage was trying to spite me. So I apologize most sincerely for this to all involved, and I hope that this explains everything. --Gold Blade 22:36, 25 September 2006 (BST)

I'd be more inclined to agree with you if it wasn't coupled by the fact that he also listed a permabanned poster and has continually disrupted the page. How much more does he have to do before people assume it's not in good faith? --Jjames 22:59, 25 September 2006 (BST)
If his edits were not in good faith, yours certainly cannot be. Regardless, Gage's actions have been so minor that warning or banning him over them is utterly ridiculous. I am also inclined to believe Gage at his word on this, no one is perfect and he has missed subtleties in wording before, so this is not out of the ordinary. –Xoid STFU! 04:07, 26 September 2006 (BST)

Jjames

OK, I've had it. This vandal has not only had a long history of negativity on the wiki, yet now he is directly or indirectly responsible for 19 VB cases and 2 misconduct cases in the span of one evening. He drags me and half the wiki into miscontribation for nothing other than dropping a huge drama bomb. THAT is bad faith on a large scale, I'm sick of it. --Zod Rhombus 07:12, 25 September 2006 (BST)

I was told by a moderator to post my cases here and was told they were vandalsim. How could that possibly be bad faith? Why aren't you asking asking for gage to be warned since he is the one who brought many of the vandal cases and one of the misconduct cases you consider me directly responsible for? How can this be seen as anything but a biased attack if you don't also list gage?Jjames 07:16, 25 September 2006 (BST)
Because YOUR actions are responsible. --Zod Rhombus 07:17, 25 September 2006 (BST)

There's been definite anti-jjames vandalism going on, and he's brought some stupid cases. However, I don't think they were nessecarily in bad faith. However, you have room to convince me. And if you aren't named jjames, Xoid, or Darth Sensitive, STAY OUT OF THIS DISCUSSION. jjames will speak only when spoken to. --Darth Sensitive Talk W! 06:28, 26 September 2006 (BST)
Hagnat still says these are cases of vandalism. he's just too worried some asshole will take him to misconduct again. How can I be warned for following the wiki guidelines and the advice of a moderator? How can someone who is on the vandal banning page for calling me scinfaxi be saying I should be warned for bringing people to vandal banning for calling me scinfaxi? Isn't that a conflict of interests?Jjames 04:58, 26 September 2006 (BST)
Jesus H. Christ. Are you sure you're not Amazing? I haven't seen this circle jerk logic of this calibre since he was banned. You can be warned because commonsense dictates that it is not the right thing to do. You can be warned because you knew, from previous experience, that this sort of shit is not supposed to fill this page. Gage was simply expediting the process by making sure that the cases were all thrown out at once, instead of you biding your time and filling this page with another fuckload of them. –Xoid STFU! 05:03, 26 September 2006 (BST)
How does "A mod told me to bring these cases to vandal banning because they were vandalism" = you should know not to bring these to vandal banning? How can I be warned for following a Mod's advice? I think common sense and experience support the mod. As for gage, he listed amazing, so I think it's clear his intentions were bad faith. You called me scinfaxi, xoid. That makes it pretty suspect for you to claim someone can't be warned for calling me scinfaxi. I can't be warned for following a mod's advice. Another mod has already ruled on this as well. If you don't drop it, it becomes a clear case of misconduct.Jjames 05:08, 26 September 2006 (BST)
The same way that "blank M/VB" or "spam porn links all over the place". You know better; using either commonsense or previous experience (you've had a lot of that) you know that this isn't the place for this crap. Hagnat had a brainfart and said to do something stupid. That doesn't mean you go and do it.
Seriously? I called you Scinfaxi? Who gives a fucking shit?! Just like like how people called Amazing a pedophile purely to piss him off, you're getting called Scinfaxi purely to piss you off. Why? Because you're an imbecile who overreacts. That's why.
Finally, can you indent properly? Or better yet: die. –Xoid STFU! 05:15, 26 September 2006 (BST)
I think this is using common sense. My interpretation is that a bad faith accusation with out proof is vandalism. A mod verified that. So I went to vandal banning. That can't be against the rules. A mod has already cleared me. You must drop this case.Jjames 05:18, 26 September 2006 (BST)

There is plenty of precedent for a bad decision being reversed. –Xoid STFU! 05:33, 26 September 2006 (BST)
If a bad faith accusation were enough to get someone banned, GANKBUS would be long gone. As would a large number of people. They aren't. You know that. You've been here long enough. You knowingly doing this because you're being a vindictive dramaqueen is vandalism. But I'm not even relying on that, I'm relying on you getting the benefit of the doubt. Instead, my argument is that you are continuing to spam this page even after you have been reprimanded for it numerous times.
  1. "A mod verified that." — and if a mod verified that you should jump off a bridge, would you do that too?
  2. "A mod has already cleared me" — and I'm contesting that, what is so hard for you to understand?
  3. "You must drop this case." — or what? Nothing. I'm not dropping this case until someone with an ounce of intelligence counters my points. Guess what? Your rhetoric doesn't count.

Because I'm not overturning it, I'm asking them to re-evaluate their decision. If I was overturning it, action would've already been taken. "The only ones who have reprimanded me are involved in the case.", utterly irrelevant. The only people who haven't reprimanded you are the people who's judgement is being called into question. One of whom has made seriously questionable decisions over a long period of time, the other is new to the moderating schtick. –Xoid STFU! 05:52, 26 September 2006 (BST)
You've still yet to set a precedent that states following the advice of a mod to post on VB is bad faith. It simply isn't. How is the fact that the people telling me it isn't vandalism have been brought to vandal banning by me? Don't most vandals try and say they didn't commit vandalism? Why should i have believed them over an uninvolved mod i've always respected?Jjames 06:02, 26 September 2006 (BST)
He's setting precident right now- that spaming the vandal banning page, even if you are too stupid to realize it, should have at least been considered idiotic and halted as soon as it was made apparent. Hagnat is wrong, which is under the rights of moderators to overrule him, and you should have stopped yesterday. --Karlsbad 06:07, 26 September 2006 (BST)
Again why should I believe someone who commited the same act that I took someone else to arbitration for? Why have so many mods called me scinfaci anyway? Why are mods antagonizing me and then claiming I'm violating the rules for reporting them as advised by an uninvloved mod? How could I know that hagnat was wrong (which I don't believe he was)? You ignore all the people contributing to this drama by calling me scinfaxi after I had already brought others to VB, by making attack templates, and by insulting me and slandering me with baseless accusations of having a vandal alt. None of my questions have been answered in regards to how this could be considered bad faith.Jjames 06:16, 26 September 2006 (BST)
Bad faith because this crap has happened before and been tossed out before. You know this, yet you persist in it. You've been answered, yet you continue to post dozens of reports over nothing. Hey, Karlsbad! You're Kevan. There, I just done it again. Ooooooh. Now, let's see Karlsbad be a bigger man than and suck it up. Let's see Kevan completely ignore it because it's beneath his notice.
You've insulted people with worse, and yet you've not been banned for it. You won't be. Yet a pissweak lil' name calling is vandalism? No. You wanna know what vandalism is? It's you getting worked up over nothing, posting dozen of reports and wasting everyone's time. –Xoid STFU! 06:33, 26 September 2006 (BST)

Yet another bad faith accusation. [7] Jjames 06:54, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Alright, thats enough. Just becuase theres a bad faith accusation it's not vandalism unless it's placed on a page which is about fact. Misconduct is about opinion, it's an opinion which every user is allowed to have. Now both of you cut it out. - Jedaz - 04:28/26/04/2024 06:57, 25 September 2006 (BST)

You don't know what a proxy is and ran for mod? Yeah, right, give me a break. Man, someone please release me from this arb case with jjames and all this wikidrama bullshit? There is some obvious bad faith editing going on here and I think jjames is messing this crap up for fun yet again or something. --Zod Rhombus 06:42, 25 September 2006 (BST)
I was obviously not qualified to be mod if you look at the voting. No I don't know anything about getting around IP blocks. I thought the reason the mods wanted the new software was so they could stop people from getting around IP blocks. I have never used a proxy.Jjames 06:50, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Can I get this cleared please. There is no evidence that I am cyberbob. It makes no sense to vandalize a case I'm trying to get solved and I have no history of vandalism or using proxys.Jjames 22:31, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Please provide links proving such, including a link that explains your 2+ hour gap in which the rash of proxy-vandels was occuring. --Karlsbad 22:41, 25 September 2006 (BST)

I gotta go with Gage on this one. There is no rule that I'm aware of against calling a user a name. Hell, I've been called Amazing more than once. It would be different if I was saying 'Jjames is Scinfaxi!! He is a wikizerger sockpuppet that MUST BE PERMABANNED LOLZ!!11' I just reflect that their posts are asinine, worthless chatter and I don't want it on my group pages or elsewhere where I can see it. Are you dense? It is my opinion that you are dense? I am 98% sure that you are dense. I can't accuse you of being a sissy. It's an opinion, a vague value judgement. And it's not even mine. I was just playing on the misconceptions of my instablilty and rudeness. As I have already said, I have never taken anyone to arbitration for calling me a name, and I have been called plenty. Bad faith accusations are a different matter. In what way was this good faith? You posted after I took someone else to arbitration for it, on my talk page no less. Rev. Bubba Flavel

Checkuser confirms that he is an alt of Jjames, used to attack the CDF.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 21:22, 19 September 2006 (BST)

We knew this awhile ago. Bob discovered it. The "Christian Decency Foundation" was kept, so they are carrying out their plans to stir up more shit on the wiki...--Gage 22:28, 19 September 2006 (BST)
Furthermore, alts are not against any policy, so long as they aren't used to abuse voting, violate arbitration agreements, etc. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 23:24, 19 September 2006 (BST)
So what you're saying is that its okay to create an alt solely for the purpose of harassing other members of this wiki. That sounds totally fair.--Steele Glovier 13:16, 20 September 2006 (BST)
Considering that harrassment is something that an Arbitration hearing can clear up, especially considering that breaking an Arbitration argreement would then ban any alt and give a Warning to the owner, I would say that "harrassment" only goes as far as the person is effected by it. --Karlsbad 19:18, 20 September 2006 (BST)
Yet this is a harassment of a whole group of users. I don't mind alts as long as there are constructive reasons. An alt solely created to harass a user or group or users adds no value to the wiki community.--Steele Glovier 13:52, 21 September 2006 (BST)
He'd "harass" you with or without this alt and it's common knowledge that Rev. Bubba Flavel = Jjames. This case was already dismissed, let it die. –Xoid STFU! 14:52, 21 September 2006 (BST)

MrAushvitz

Posted one suggestion, then removed it and posted a non revision suggestion all on the same day. Violation of rule 12.--Gage 23:47, 18 September 2006 (BST)

Banned for 2 weeks. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 23:59, 18 September 2006 (BST)
Shouldn't his next ban have been for a month?--Gage 00:01, 19 September 2006 (BST)
No. His last ban was for 1 week, according to M/VD and the history for this page. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 00:06, 19 September 2006 (BST)
No Bob, you need to read M/G - Bans shall be escalating in nature, the first being for 24 hours, the second being for 48 hours, the third being a week, the fourth being a month, and the fifth (and any further ban) being a year. --Gage 00:08, 19 September 2006 (BST)
Oops, you're right. Banned for 1 month. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 00:53, 19 September 2006 (BST)

Additional comments moved to Talk:M/VB#MrAushvitz. Do not place further commentary here. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 00:25, 20 September 2006 (BST)

I'm contesting this decision. It was a new rule, and apparently more than one of the people who voted on it was not entirely aware of its meaning. Furthermore, the wording said "revision". The suggestion that Aushvitz placed was a revision under all common meanings of the word. I do not honestly think Mr. Aushvitz done this in bad faith and would request that Bob retract the warning. –Xoid STFU! 02:56, 20 September 2006 (BST)

After discussing the finer points with Xoid again, I have decided to reverse my previous decision and unban MrAushvitz. Make no mistake: I still believe that he violated the letter of the law, but the fact that it needed interpretation is reason enough for me to believe that it was poorly written in the first place, and more importantly, I do not believe that he broke it in bad faith, something that I neglected to consider in my original ruling. I also strongly recommend a rewrite of the rule in question to avoid further ambiguity and establish its intent more firmly. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 05:28, 20 September 2006 (BST)

this was on Talk:Crossman Defense Force and Zod is the owner of that page, pretty much. Scinfaxi was harassing him.--Gage 01:02, 18 September 2006 (BST)
Not vandalism. Groups are allowed to edit their pages so long as that editing does not break any other policy. Since the comments were removed from the end and not the middle, there is no issue here. Had the comments been removed only from the middle of a conversation, so as to change the meaning of later comments, that could be considered vandalism, however. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 01:33, 18 September 2006 (BST)

Checkuser points that User:Danny Floyd is User:Mia Kristos. Mia, why do you hate newbies that much ? --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 09:45, 16 September 2006 (BST)
I'm inclined to disagree simply because that stupid fuck could've prevented this sort of problem from ever occuring by, y'know, actually reading the detailed instructions on how to sign properly the first four times it was brought up. It's not our job to clean up every mess left by some brainless twat who can't comprehend a simple two sentence instruction, so I'd love to see him learn the hard way. Regardless, I'll do what is just in this case. Sorry Mia, but you're getting warned, that account is getting permabanned, it's user page is becoming a redirect to captain oblivious' non-existant user page, and his warning is being retracted. –Xoid STFU! 11:05, 16 September 2006 (BST)

I don't get it, can someone explain what just happened here?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 21:32, 16 September 2006 (BST)

There is a newbie. Mia created a wiki account using this newbie's UD player name. This newbie editted mia's sockpuppet user page. The newbie was warned and the sockpuppet account now redirects to the newbie's User Page. Am I correct?--Thari TжFedCom is BFI! 21:38, 16 September 2006 (BST)
Well, no. User:The archivar used Danny_Floyd erroneously as signature, actually linking to the non-existant user's page. Mia then registered that name, and now bought this VB case against The archivar, as Danny Floyd. Cyberbob warned The archivar, but Hagnat noticed that Floyd == Kristos and Xoid removed archivar's warning and warned Mia for bad-faith noob/newbie tormenting. --Brizth M T 21:41, 16 September 2006 (BST) Edit: But yeah, you were correct that the newbie aka archivar in his newbiness edited Floyd's page which bought this whole VB case. --Brizth M T 21:42, 16 September 2006 (BST)

16,777,216 IP addresses blocked? A lil' extreme, don't you think? –Xoid STFU! 07:00, 15 September 2006 (BST)
A two week ban of an open proxy? No, not extreme. You've banned address blocks of that size before, I believe. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 07:10, 15 September 2006 (BST)
Since when was 65,536 addresses anywhere near 16,777,216? As for the proxy itself, what is the actual range that they cover? It's preferable to have as few addresses blocked as practical, and if they only have 100.100.x.x – 100.101.x.x, well, you catch my drift. I'm just afraid of what'll happen if other moderators without the prerequisite knowledge to find out if it's an open proxy start tossing around range blocks like that. –Xoid STFU! 07:19, 15 September 2006 (BST)

If you knew how Internet addressing works, you'd know that IP addresses that are "similar" to blocked ones would not be affected. Obviously, this user seems to want to impersonate, but I was curious as to where the line is. --Kiki Lottaboobs 05:55, 15 September 2006 (BST)
He not only has a name purposelly made to impersonate, but vandalized the ASS page a couple of times (Bob's old group). --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 05:59, 15 September 2006 (BST)
Because of the similiarity of name it would've earned him an instant permaban in most cases. There are some rare exceptions that will be made, like Grim and Grim s, but that's only because the core of the name is so common as to allow a very high probability that the name was chosen innocuously. If it were, for example, "Matt Fahrenheit" or "Kiki LottaBoobs", that would count as impersonation worthy of an instant permaban.
Also: if someone had been signing as "A Bothan Spy" for a long time before hand, and someone made an account under the same name, the user who signed like that is allowed to keep it while the account is banned. –Xoid STFU! 06:05, 15 September 2006 (BST)

I am pretty sure Ken Irons had more warnings than the one he has in reported vandal data. Anyway, this is clearly vandalism. Ken Irons is no fool, and surely knew that he would end up being punished by this. So. A warning for the first act of vandalism, a second warning for repeating them. This makes three warnings total, 1 day ban. But, i agree with conddraka that he deserves an 1 year ban. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 03:10, 14 September 2006 (BST)

Removed a suggestion from the suggestion page when it did not yet meet any criteria for removal.--Gage 18:07, 11 September 2006 (BST)

Well, the suggestion had 4 dupe votes, altough they pointed to two different suggestions. It's not clear cut if he was mistaken or not when he removed the suggestion because the rules don't especify too much on the issue. I say that you can hardly call this bad faith coming from Jedaz, thus... --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 18:48, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Are you kidding? They are very clear:
"Eligibility for Spamination is acheived if there are at least 7 Spam/Dupe votes and the number of Spam/Dupe votes are equal to 2/3rds or greater of the total number of votes, with the author vote included in all these tallies. In addition, A Moderator can if they so choose delete any suggestion with three or more Spams as long as Spams outnumber Keeps. This includes their own spam vote."--Gage 19:00, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Doesn't that talk about "eligibility for Spamination"? You discovered that Dupe votes add to the count as Spam ones when trying to Spaminate a suggestion, hooray! --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 19:13, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Anyways, if, and im saying if, I'm wrong, probably Jedaz was in the same mistake too. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 19:16, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Good point. I was under the impression that you needed at least 7 Dupes and 2/3 of the total votes in order to Dupify a suggestion. Can anyone clear this up? The rules seem to be lacking.--Gage 19:40, 11 September 2006 (BST)
The rules require three dupe votes on any suggestion, and a link to the dupe. – Nubis NWO 20:17, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Are you going by this wording? Dupe votes can be used to remove suggestions as described below. Dupe votes (if there are not three, or the votes are in some other way invalid) will not be counted when votes are tallied.? Because that says nothing of how many it takes to remove it. I hate the way these rules are written.--Gage 00:54, 12 September 2006 (BST)

Hey, I didn't notice this until now. Well if you really wanted me to I could just say that it was "spaminated" and count dupe votes as 1000000 Spams. Thats still a very valid way, but the rules are now changed so it's clearer. Since they wern't clear when I made the call I decided to use my best sense of judgement to do what I thought was right. Is it really a problem anyway? The suggestion was a clear duplicate and theres no point as to keep it on the suggestions page. - Jedaz 08:14, 12 September 2006 (BST)

I love your math! Priceless!--Gage 09:16, 12 September 2006 (BST)

I'm not really sure this requires a ruling but if so, consider it "not vandalism". The rules are poorly worded in this instance, and there is clearly no malice here, ∴ it was not bad faith, ∴ it was not vandalism. As to the rules themselves in this matter, I have always erred on the side of caution in regards to the possibility of a suggestion becoming "mod duped", but I see no reason why the provision would be there for spam votes, yet not for dupe votes. We've seen many instances of poorly written rules before where the intent was clear, but the wording ambiguous. I'm willing to claim this as another case of that. Mod dupes are allowed. –Xoid STFU! 09:41, 12 September 2006 (BST)

User:Nenogus AKA User:George Hayduke AKA User:George hayduke

This is not so much a report of vandalism but a request for these 3 users (actually, 2 users and an unexistant user) to have their vandal records unified and adjusted to reality, and if it's possible perform a Checkuser on them. While M/VD points that Nenogus had a single warning, User talk:Nenogus says otherwise (looks like he had at least a warning and a ban). I actually found this out when George hayduke sign linked to User:George Hayduke instead of his actual User: page, and that inexistant user's User: page was made by Nenogus. Also George hayduke seems to defend MWG page entitled as the author, but he wasn't the one who made it but Nenogus.

After this is made, please move the User:George Hayduke page and it's talk page to User:George hayduke, post the redirects that are left on Speedy Deletion under criterion 3 and notify him on his talk page so he corrects his signature to point to his actual User: page. That's all, thanks! --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 03:26, 11 September 2006 (BST)

Violated article four of the Arbitration Ruling where "The Fifth Horseman will not interact with Akule, AnimeSucks or DarkStar2374383 anywhere on this wiki. If you must contact any of them, it will not be through this wiki." Clearly by deleting parts of Akule's journal talk page and stating "(The arbitration verdict does not cover this page - M/A/Archive#The_Ruling)" he is attempting to circumvent the arbitration by not only vandalizing Akule's journal talk page, but to "get in one last dig" as it were. If you actually took note of the contents of the edit made to Cannibal Corps page, I have only removed false information on my subject inserted by Akule. If you actually think twice on the subject, you'll figure out what was the purpose he inserted it for.
Fact is, I have not been frozen, and have not been zerging in the first place despite numerous attempts by Akule and his associates to accuse me of that, including their creation of three zerg accounts that have been used to accuse me of zerging at Desensitized.
Second fact is that Akule was completely aware that the information he has posted has been false.
The other two edits did not involve posting any messages. Per the arbitration verdict, I am not allowed to post any messages on the respective pages. This does not mean I am not allowed to make any edits to them. --The Fifth Horseman 11:25, 8 September 2006 (BST)
Do you take me for a fool? I know what his intent was, I simply do not care. You can't force him to do jack without another arbitration case.
  1. You claim it is false, they claim it is not. It doesn't matter; you can't edit another group's page and alter anything more than a typo on it without their permission, ∴ vandalism.
  2. I'll concede that while the exact wording would let it slide as an arbitration violation (despite the fact that letting you edit their talk page at will was not my intention). Regardless, it still counts as vandalism.
Xoid STFU! 11:41, 8 September 2006 (BST)

TFH, it doesn't matter how false the info is on a group's page. Why, even if the C(reedy)DF stated that they are honest players without a hint of facsism in their organisation, I wouldn't be allowed to remove it. You need. Express. Permission. From. The. Group. Put your request for said permission it on a group member's personal talk page, if you're banned from the group talk page (which you also violated). Warned. Cyberbob  Talk  14:23, 8 September 2006 (BST)

I'd like to appeal this decision in lieu of a tougher sentence, such as a 24 ban. Anime Sucks was banned for 24 hours for a single violation while The Fifth Horseman has made three violations and shown no remorse for his actions. Or does this mean that DarkStar2374383, Akule, and Anime Sucks can edit the Abandoned and The Fifth Horseman's wiki page and only receive a warning? --Ahote 23:03, 9 September 2006 (BST)

Sentences don't get tougher by the simple request of users. Non serial vandals, when they reach their third vandal report ruled against them, get a 24 hour ban. Period. If he managed to make three vandalic acts before the actual ruling it doesn't matter much: they're considered one and the same. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 23:08, 9 September 2006 (BST)

I'm not really familiar with arbitration rulings, and if vandalism and violation of an arbitration ruling at once grants two escalations of the warnings/bannings instead of one. I'll leave that response to someone more qualified. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 23:18, 9 September 2006 (BST)

Exactly how many times does this need to be explained in detail before it is considered vandalism, Hagnat? I've told him on Talk:Grigg Heights, I've told him on his talk page, I've even told him in game before I PKed him! Seriously, you'd think he'd get it by now. Just because something was not done in "bad faith" does not make it undisruptive. If someone went around blanking pages and we knew for a fact that it was not bad faith yet they were too thick to understand a simple instruction to not do it, would they get a warning? In real life when somebody doesn't know any better, yet they continue to break rules, they eventually get sent off to an asylum. While you could arguably say the wiki already is one, har har, we have to do something. –Xoid STFU! 07:21, 8 September 2006 (BST)

Gold Blade

Not so much humorous as just extremely shitty. Gold Blade is 'just visiting' Jail this time around. – Nubis NWO 01:26, 7 September 2006 (BST)
Yeah, it's borderline, I wanted to check other people's oppinion on the matter. It's so shitty that it's almost offensive: Mr.A. at least post serious game suggestions, but Gold Blade's suggestion is even more overpowered that some of the humorous ones. Basically it's AP=IP hits for zombies. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 01:38, 7 September 2006 (BST)

I am exremely sorry about that, but I couldnt get it out of my head. I will try to make up for this with a very good suggestion. --Gold Blade 01:51, 7 September 2006 (BST)

Wait, are you ruling that it's not vandalism and just a "shitty" suggestions Nubis? I'm sorry but I can't take that as a serious suggesion and I doubt anyone else would. Gold Blade has been around for long enough to know that it's not acceptable to post suggestions of such nature. Mind you though I do agree that it's not "humorous", but it's obviously not a serious suggestion. I think it's vandalism but since Nubis doesn't think so I'll wait for another moderators opinion before I do anything. - Jedaz 05:57, 7 September 2006 (BST)
Given the knowledge I had of it at the time, and some of the other shitty suggestions I've seen pumped out, the best decision for me to make was to say that it wasn't a bannable offence. Considering what Gold Blade said afterward nulled that decision. – Nubis NWO 19:58, 7 September 2006 (BST)

Flounce and CaptainM

Timestamps on edits obtained from CheckUser strongly suggest that Flounce, CaptainM, and the newly-permabanned vandal Titties are all the same person (example for non-moderators: CaptainM edited at 19:35, Flounce edited at 19:41, and Titties edited at 19:44). I suggest an immediate permaban of the two other accounts as precedent has established is standard. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 21:53, 4 September 2006 (BST)

Even if Flouce is an alt, there is plenty of precedent for allowing those: Xoid has one, as does hagnat IIRC. Flounce made no vandal edit.--Gage 23:05, 4 September 2006 (BST)
Also, precedent (including Gage I must say) dictates that a vandal alt from a normal user is granted with a permaban and the escalation on the warnings/bannings status of the main account. Permabans for both sounds a little harsh: if what Gage said is true then just make a note that they're the same guy on M/VD. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 23:15, 4 September 2006 (BST)
Timestamps on edits obtained from CheckUser strongly suggest that Flounce, CaptainM, and the newly-permabanned vandal Titties are all the same person - I thought we could prove this now. What is wrong?--Gage 00:04, 5 September 2006 (BST)
The language is what's wrong. All three accounts have been using the same IP. – Nubis NWO 00:13, 5 September 2006 (BST)
Ah. Going by what Bob said, it sounds like you didn't know for sure.--Gage 00:15, 5 September 2006 (BST)
I think thew point was that it showed that they were the same person, and not two different people coming from the same computer (i.e. brother/sister/roomate). --YbborT 01:00, 5 September 2006 (BST)
It's of course impossible to know whether there are multiple persons behind one computer. We just assume that there's always one person per computer. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to ban or warn anyone as they would always blaim the other person. --Brizth M T 01:15, 5 September 2006 (BST)

Does User:DangerReport ring a bell? –Xoid STFU! 05:42, 5 September 2006 (BST)
I don't think we actually have any precedent for this. 3pwv was a bit different case, with so many cases of vandalism over the months. All the alt bannings/ban escalations have dealt with already banned users bypassing their bans (Amazing/Tito/God). According the current rules the only thing I could do is to give warning to CaptainM/Flounce for vandalism. But it would be nice if someone else gave their opinion. --Brizth M T 00:18, 5 September 2006 (BST)
Actually I remember a certain case involving yours truly where an alt was created to vandalize the wiki. The offending party received a warning and the vandal account was warned: precedent.--Gage 00:36, 5 September 2006 (BST)
Ah yes. After checking VD, logs and this page's history, I found the case. User:Labine50isdumb I assume? If so, then I'm going to warn CaptainM/Flounce --Brizth M T 01:15, 5 September 2006 (BST)
Well, but in that case I admitted that it was me, whereas in this case I am not so sure that we can rule out brother/sister/roomate activity. CaptainM, in my experience, has always been a reliable wiki editor.--Gage 01:59, 5 September 2006 (BST)
So? What does that have to do with anything? You becoming an elitist now, eh? Cyberbob  Talk  02:19, 5 September 2006 (BST)

How can you ask so? This is the whole crux of the issue.--Gage 02:29, 5 September 2006 (BST)
You're an idiot. An elitist idiot. What you're saying is, that because he's a reliable editor he should be given the benefit of the doubt - implying that if he wasn't, he should be pretty much auto-punished. For shame. Cyberbob  Talk  02:40, 5 September 2006 (BST)
You got me on the elitism; I trust people who have given me a reason to be trusted over people who haven't.--Gage 03:32, 5 September 2006 (BST)
Ooh...great comeback! One glaring flaw, however. You shouldn't even be considering people's defences. The facts (remember them?) are all that you should be looking at. Since the facts all point to alt accounts... (almost) anyone will lie in their defence if they think it'll get them off the hook, Gage. I seem to remember one particular case when a member of ASS vandalised, then tried to lie about it. Who was that, again? I seem to have forgotten. Can you refresh my memory, Gage? Cyberbob  Talk  03:44, 5 September 2006 (BST)
Touche, as long as you agree there is nothing wrong with elitism :)--Gage 04:10, 5 September 2006 (BST)

Flounce and CaptainM should at the very least receive a warning, if not an outright ban. The data is never conclusive that two accounts are run by the same people, for those nay-sayers who ask why I worded my report the way I did, but we have to operate under the assumption that only one person uses one computer unless we have strong, independent reasons to believe otherwise. The data that we do have indicate that CaptainM edited the wiki, shortly thereafter Flounce edited the wiki, and shortly after that Titties began vandalizing the wiki. There is a possibility that three different people all used the same computer in that time, but we have no way of proving it, and it does not seem likely considering the timeframe in which the edits happened. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 03:18, 5 September 2006 (BST)

The Speedy Delete page does not say that voting Keep on one's own page is illegal. If this is indeed a rule then it should hopefully be clarified. The intent of my action was not bad faith: I'm going to be AFK for a day in a few minutes, so I wanted to move the page to Deletions voting (where, just like Saromu's page, it belongs). Equivalently I could have sat here for the next few hours pressing Refresh waiting for someone else to Speedy it, and voted Keep, which would have had exactly the same effect. My action was not intended to game the system nor did I intend to abuse or vandalize the Wiki. Rheingold 19:28, 1 September 2006 (BST)

I really, really hate to do this, but he threatened to do it to me if I reverted the suberb danger rating in Stanbury Village, so I guess I'd better resopond in kind, lest he beat me to the punch.

I downgraded the place to safe because there are all of 15 zombies wandering around in it. That's not vandalism, it's using the wiki as any rational person would. Trying to make it vandalism is simple bullying and it's ridiculous. The suburb page does not belong to Saromu and he does not have the right to revert every edit that he disagrees with. His reverting my update is vandalism and I'll wait to change things back until after things are said and done here.
