Malton is big--it has,in fact, 100 different suburbs. That's a lot of different areas to visit, and it makes the city seem enormously intimidating to new players. But don't worry--these hundred suburbs can be reduced into 20 districts, smaller groups of 5 suburbs each.

Malton is divided into 4 Divisions. Each Division is a corner of the map: NW, NE, SW, or SE. Each Division has 25 suburbs and is divided into 5 Districts. They are written as: SW-1, or NE-4. See the Map below.

After exploring your home suburb and establishing a base in it, try moving into another suburb within the district. Search around and see what buildings you can find. Try to establish a second base in this new suburb.

If you continue to do this, you can establish a very helpful in-game strategy called "basing". You should have five different bases within your district, as well as backup safehouses. You should be familiar with the locations of all the TRPs within your district. And by use of radio, you can get communications with the rest of your district!

Once you've based up in your district, it won't be long before you create a network of friends in the other suburbs in your district. Try forming an organization. Use your five bases as the five bases of the district, name the district (if it has not already been named) and keep powered radios set to the district frequency in each base.

This strategy allows for easy networking and mass organization, and has been used in many districts around Malton. You can improve your district by using the "basing" strategy and creating a district network for it.

A Little Map

Mini district.png Here's a little map graphic that shows the 20 city districts, suitable for use in a template. Its easy to highlight one district; just open the map in an image editing program, select the district you want to highlight, invert the selection, and tone down the brightness / contrast of the rest of the image.
