This account is a sham. It is tracing to a location half a world away from where The General actually lives. Unless his "library" is actually on another continent, this account is very much a fake. I am permabanning the account, and it will be undone if The General confirms the identity of the account.--Gage 05:12, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I really think this may be a total ignorance of how to edit a wiki, but I'm not taking any chances. The edit in question disturbed the Lebende Tote ad which I fixed but it just catches me as odd... Conndrakamod TDHPD CFT 02:50, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

- That's standard operating procedure for people who create accounts just to vandalize. If there was an account with a single vandal edit to the Dead vs. Blue group page you can bet that they'd be permabanned too. -- ∀lan Watson T·RPM 05:21, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

- That's not what I mean. By all means, defend people who you don't think deserve punishment. What I'm saying is that by diving in headfirst without really looking at a case, you're only setting yourself up to look like a tool. What would also help is not always taking things we say in the worst possible light. We have to assume good faith. I'd like you to do the same with us. Cyberbob Talk 06:37, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

- "Deletion Workaround: The page is a duplicate of a page that has been deleted from a previous deletion request (please note the relevant deletion request if this is so). A page that fits this criterion is immediately qualified for deletion without requiring it be nominated on the 'Speedy Deletions' page. Recreating a page that fits this criterion will get you a polite message to stop doing so. Any further infractions of this nature will qualify as vandalism and will be treated as such. Note that criterion 6 does not apply when the page has been restored through M/U."

Why can't she access the internet without a proxy?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 21:26, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- A likely explanation could be that she doesn't have a home connection, and uses her school (or work or whatever) internet, except that it's blocked and requires the use of a proxy to be able to get around the block. That's what I do when I'm at school. Cyberbob Talk 23:05, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah, seriously, this is ridiculous. These rules are in place so everyone can enjoy the wiki evenly and fairly. Not even trying to work out the issue is unnecessarily obstructionistic. -- ∀lan Watson T·RPM 02:42, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- Lest we forget why the rules were put in place: their whole purpose is accountability. If we cannot reasonably verify that you are a single user making a single vote the your vote simply does not count. Reasonably verifiable meaning that you are not using an open proxy. There are provisions for allowing anonymous proxy edits through the policy we adopted here. If "Froggie" wants to she can email Kevan and ask for an exemption. If he's not inclined to give one then it doesn't happen. Case closed. –Xoid M•T•FU! 03:31, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Right. I've had enough of his retarded attempts to be funny by going against the spirit of rulings. He's changed his signature to one that, while in keeping with the letter of my and Anti's Arb rulings, is plainly against the spirit of both. Cyberbob Talk 06:13, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, what is the "spirit" of a arbitration ruling? Anyways, I'm sick of this shit. Ban me here and now, indefinitely. --DarkStar2374383 Talk | LDY | LOE 06:24, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Banned for a week. Warned. No, make that a week. Sorry for the confusion. (This is technically an arb. violation, so it's considered "two levels higher" than it is otherwise.) –Xoid M•T•FU! 09:53, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

So... what do we do about his sig? Change it back to how it was before it was all spammy? Or leave it as is? Cyberbob Talk 11:11, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- I say revert it.--Gage 14:36, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I just got here, and I have a few things to say. 1. DarkStar's sig fufilled BOTH arbitration rulings. 2. I made a promise to both of them outside the wiki (In IRC) that my ruling would not punish ANYONE, and this being taken to M/VB makes me look like a promise-breaker, etc. Now, on the Resensitized forums, I've gotten the two to cool down, and if this starts another war, I won't be pleased at all. They were starting to get along, but with this, I feel like the work I've done in getting the two to cool down has gone to waste. Thanks a lot, Cyberbob. Thanks a lot. --Absolution 15:49, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- This looks like a group-mod smack-down to me. That guys stupidly long sig was pretty funny, as it goes, and not half as bloody irritating as the multi-coloured bs that The Godfather of Blah Blah Blah sports all over the place. Why's he allowed to push the bubble but DarkStar isn't? You could easily claim bad faith in both cases - but then I notice that "bad faith" is pulled out of the gun cabinet quite regularly when a logical argument is being lost and a targeted contributer needs to be put down. Calling it like I see it. --Funt Solo 19:32, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Aww, don't be sad Funty. I personally made sure that my signature violated no policies set forth by checking with mods. Heck, even the mods told me of ways to make it much much worse, but I haven't changed it, and even removed some elements that seemed tacky. My signature is legible, and attracts the eye. It isn't smushed together, nor does it blink, nor is it in binary. It is in english... just because YOU don't like it, doesn't make it bad. What is bad faith to you, is art for another, and that signature is my art.--THE Godfather of Яesensitized, Anime Sucks Yalk | W! U! WMM| CC CPFOAS LOE ZHU | Яezzens 00:54, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Violated the recent arbitration ruling with his sig. Anything other than standard lettering? I think this fits. --Gage 18:18, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Oh please. Its standard letters, I just changed it to really ugly colors. Fuck off Gage. --DarkStar2374383 Talk | LDY | LOE 21:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- While hardly readable, I do notice that the signature is written out in normal letters, and is therefore not in violation of the arbitration verdict. --Absolution 21:58, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Standard lettering aligns in a linear manner. I'll give you three days to change it. --Karlsbad 00:29, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Karlsbad, can you point out to me where this is stated? If it isn't stated in writing anywhere, then it's invalid and DarkStar doesn't have to change his sig. It's only fair.--Absolution 00:36, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll wait for cyberbob to decide, because unless it clearly states on the wiki then that is your opinion on what Standard lettering is. Cyberbob told me as long as it isn't "spammy" (via IRC) then it should be okay, But again, I'll wait for him to clarify what he meant. I dont see what the big fucking deal is. Gage is a fucking hypocrite, He sat there in IRC and told people how to make them really horrible. When i told him of my intent on making my signature in binary atfisrt he "lol"ed. User:Elias Taylor seems to have created Escaped mental patients as a way to bypass the repeated deletion of the Jimmy Slitter page. (It does add content and work the information into the Malton history, so it's possible this is good faith - still, it seems suspiciously like an attempt to dodge the deletions to me.)
Another user, User:Crabappleslegalteam, has been repeatedly adding a disclaimer to Escaped mental patients and to Crabapple. Elias Taylor has repeatedly removed it. The history pages are here and here.
Quite a bit of this has happened since Taylor was warned several days ago.
In the Wikipedia world they'd both be breaking the three-revert rule. What's the appropriate response here? I think I'll go add a link to the discussions pages to suggest they take it to arbitration, but should anything else be done? Paul Brunner 21:46, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
