Ruined after a mass assault of consisting a strangely large number of unaffiliated zombies, aided by members of the Ridleybank Resistance Front. August 2011
10 AUG 2011 Eastern corners occupied by zeds. NW and SW corners EHB but ruined. Surrounding buildings in various stages of cading/ruination; zeds in surrounding area. Spirited resistance from survivors. Reinforcements would be just dandy for mall to stand. --Milton 00:05, 11 August 2011 (BST)
26 AUG 2011 5 Standing in the NE corner, rest of the mall either currently clear and fully barricaded or mostly barricaded, pile of 9 outside the NE corner as well, poorly barricaded. Several zombies dumped back onto the streets over the course of the day. --Zhekarius CFT 08:42, 26 August 2011 (BST)

28 AUG 2011 6 Standing in the East, 2 NE 4 SE, one body dumped, cades in the other squares brought back up to Extremely heavily barricaded and heavily barricaded from the recent breach, advise caution to the remaining mall goers as a large, large mass of zombies is building outside and their numbers are reaching at least 20. South West corner repaired and the lights are back on. --Zhekarius CFT 03:07, 28 August 2011 (BST)
Zombies are beginning to trickle in through the South West side, survivor numbers are dropping for those still inside the mall. --Zhekarius CFT 05:24, 28 August 2011 (BST)
29 AUG 2011 Large groups of zombies still skulking outside, all four corners are currently EHB and repaired with survivors nearby, the mall is otherwise empty. This is merely the eye of the storm, the winds are still fierce and active swirling around it, I doubt the mall will stay in this condition for too long. --Zhekarius CFT 01:59, 29 August 2011 (BST)

- Update: Mall Tour 2009 take less than 24 hours to score a complete four corner ruin. Such little resistance from the former beacon of survivor hope leads the Mall Tour to consider this mall unworthy of the title of Barhah Mall. October 23rd Things are still tough in this 2 month long siege, but the survivors are handling the fluctuating masses of undead quite well. Break ins are common, but are quickly patched up, and the surrounding area and the mall are usually kept at VSB or EHB and lit. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Private Mendoza (talk • contribs) 02:21, 23 October 2008 (BST).

IMPORTANT REQUEST: In the interest of tallying both the casualties of each side and the strategy on both sides of the battle, I'm requesting that zombie and survivor groups list kill counts and casualties on the Caiger discussion page, as well as any thoughts leading up to and during the battle itself. Thank you. (Tarumigan)

- Caiger Mall, once the single mightiest bastion of the living, has been utterly defeated by the combined hordes. The collapse was so swift and so total that it seems likely that few Caiger Mall Defenders escaped with their lives...there may be literally hundreds of dead, with the zombies having taken only light losses (perhaps single digits). The word will have to come in from LUE, but Caiger appears to have fallen in record time. Caiger Mall now represents, perhaps, a zombie ascendancy that means that no survivor installation can resist the horde. --Tarumigan 00:14, 17 August 2007 (BST)

- I was actively scouting the area during the whole siege and my estimation of survivor casualty was around 300 (and max 400). There was a considerable number of survivors who fled after the NW sector was ruined. It is also very certain that there were more than 10 zombies killed. I estimate that there were about 400 survivors and 400 zombies participating in this siege. --MP7 06:47, 17 August 2007 (BST)
- With two corners in ruins and a total of 54 survivors remaining against 300 zombies, Caiger's fate, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is sealed: It's all over. Since Caiger fell extremely quickly, it looks like the days where the mall was a symbol of safety has passed. --Adrian Steiner 3:00, 17 August 2007
- I was just around Caiger Mall, and there are a number of survivors in the SE corner, at least. If you could get a co-ordinated (and strong) group of survivors up there, you could probably at least make them fight a little longer for it. --dualshock71 4:21, 17 August 2007

As of press time, there are approx 150 survivors left alive in Caiger. Approx 250 Zombie's left inside Caiger. Survivors will need revive points so any survivor groups should be directed to the nearby suburbs to revive those seeking syringes, as the old revive points will likely have too few resources to meet the need.--Mishimagoodness 05:14, 17 August 2007 (BST)
- Approximately 300 Z's around Caiger. This number includes those outside the mall's bottom right square, as well as zombies outside and inside Latrobe. Many reports calling for reinforcements have been sent. Others will have to report how many survivors remain within Caiger. As of press time, the barricades are all EHB. --Mishimagoodness 00:14, 17 August 2007 (BST)

- Led by the tidal wave of the LUE horde, at least 160 zombies slammed through the barricades at approximately 7:45 this evening and slaughtered everyone in the NW Quad, achieving the ransack in perhaps half an hour to forty minutes. Other zombies belonging to Extinction, RRF, and LUE are now flooding out from the NW Quad to assault the remaining three Quads. Severe casualties...at least 70 dead as I write this. The mall's fall is imminent unless a massive survivor response is mounted immediately. --Tarumigan 8:57, 16 August 2007 (EST)
- More than 170 zombies in ruined NW Caiger, 70 zombies in ruined SW Caiger, 120 zombies outside SE Caiger, 10 zombies inside NE Caiger, 40 zombies in Latrobe building and many more zombies scattered around the mall. There are just about 100 survivors in the whole mall now and I estimate 180 survivor casualties since the beginning of the siege. I have no idea of why there are so few survivors (including the dead ones) defending the mall. It seems that no one really cares about Caiger anymore. The mall is going to fall in no time. --MP7 04:08, 17 August 2007 (BST)
- Only around 40 zombies in Latrobe, it seemed they were in the mood for a midnight snack. 153 Zombies in NW Corner, 81 in the SW. NE has over 15 zombies inside, 3 for SE. Barricades are failing, however there are active survivors barricading and that'll stave them off for a bit. I don't know how much longer the defenders will last though, I mean, with barely enough AP to maintain the barricades, killing the zombies (Let alone dumping bodies) is almost unfathomable. Set up a generator in SE, but it desperately needs fuel. If anyone cares about Caiger, they need generators, especially at Hollom. --Luxembourg 14:39, 17 August 2007 (BST)

Another zed break in at the SE corner, at least 15 zombies and multiple deaths. Doors are still open as this report comes in. -- --The fight between dark and light has waged for ages. The winner always vanquished the loser, and ‘peace’ continued for thousands of years, or so we thought. In all battles of good versus evil, we have come to believe that good always triumphs over evil, well that is not true. As one grows up, they learn to believe that life is not fair and justice doesn’t always prevail. So, sit back and listen to a tale of deception, one that no one will have expected to be.
Light is good, and Dark is evil, thus, it has ever been. For as long as human kind can remember, we’ve always been taught to follow the light, or that when you die, go into the light. Little do people know, about the battle that has waged since the creation of time.
Since the beginning, the good have hidden in the shadows, working for the benefit of the world from there, hence the Dark. Meanwhile, the light always operated out in the open for everyone to see. Strategists, or just people with plain common sense could argue this, but you see, there in lies the genius. The Light was always good at the manipulation of the masses, convincing them that the reduction of food, and near elimination of trivial things like sleep and rest, were for a greater cause.

There was a second break-in today with several casualties. This raid was quickly repulsed. Rumors are flying about if LUE will attack and when. While LUE seems far away, some survivors have sent word to other survivor groups that Caiger will need reinforcements. Considering travel time and coordinating supplies and organizing groups, interested parties should consider heading Caiger's way soon.

The inhabitants of Caiger Mall finally got something to kill other than each other. At least twelve zombies broke into the SE Corner of the mall. Although initially caught off guard, survivors responded instantly. The barricades in the SE Corner were swiftly rebuilt and the invaders were neutralized. Dowdney Mall appears to have collapsed to the LUE onslaught, leaving Caiger amongst a dwindling number of Malls yet to feel the horde's wrath. Some unlucky malls such as Nichols and Hildebrand in the Survivor Security Zone have been visited twice. I don't know what other people think, but as an interested observer I can offer this commentary....that Caiger is extremely vulnerable to this horde. Every single Mall has fought a textbook defense against LUE and lost. Some, such as Dowdney and Ackland, managed to hold the line a little longer, but LUE has won every single siege that it has initiated. Bravado is all well and good when LUE is halfway across Malton. When they enter Darvall Heights, it will be a somewhat different experience, I assure you. Do NOT underestimate LUE. --Tarumigan Ackland Mall Security
- The survivors of Caiger continue to kill each other for whatever reasons, despite the growing threat of LUE. Only time will tell if the Caiger inhabitants can stop their petty infighting long enough to unite against LUE when they arrive. -- Mordac the Refuser 19:36, 31 July 2007 (BST)

A wave of GKing and PKing has swept the mall and surrounding area. This is largely thanks to the efforts of Red Rum who claimed the lives of almost 40 survivors just hours ago. There have been numerous reports that LUE is headed towards Caiger. Recently, on the CMS frequency, this was heard; "Caiger. Look to our coming in the east. There is no escape. Resistance is futile." - Not Really Substantial At All, But Important- The rumors circulating may have started on the Ackland Mall Security forum. AMS is aware that Caiger has been targeted by LUE...the question is merely one of timing. We do not know WHEN they intend to show up. It could be tomorrow, or it could be two months from now. We recommend increased vigilance. --Tarumigan 08:32, 10 July 2007 (EST)
- Just Random Observations I'm at Caiger at the moment, so this topic interests me. I roamed around, reading reports on the wiki for awhile... and based on those, and what I've seen and heard in game, it does indeed look like increased vigilance would be a good idea. It's true that the largest horde is concentrated about six suburbs southeast from Caiger. In Stanbury, Nichols is held by zombies. Next door, LUE just crushed Hildebrand mall at Roftwood. South of Roftwood is Woodroffe mall, which is under heavy attack by zombies even now, and likely to fall. And one suburb southeast of Tollyton (where Woodroffe is located) is Gulsonside... where Blesley mall is currently held by zombies. If this entire horde IS moving east, no problem. But do you trust a page that they KNOW survivors have access to in one form or another? I don't. Either way, they'll converge on Caiger sooner or later. Why not? At present, only Ridleybank, Barrville, and Richmond Hills stand between the horde and Caiger. But that horde aside... Bale Mall - in East Boundwood and Yagaton - is under heavy zombie attack. There are 30+ inside the mall, nearly 50 outside, with 25+ at buildings to the south and east of the mall, at buildings right next door. These hundred or so walking corpses are located much closer to Caiger, as Bale is located only about 3 suburbs to the northeast. I'm not sure what direction they're going to move in yet, but I've heard that there's a large group to the southwest, between Bale and Caiger. I have no idea if this group (40 or so, I've been told) is heading off somewhere else, or moving to join the attack on Bale. -- SerpentMeum 09:34, 10 July 2007 (EST)

- Occasional breakins are occuring in the Latrobe building with moderate-to-heavy human casualties, but they've been repelled so far.
January, 2007
- January 30, 2007
- No change in Status with the mall and Buildings surrounding, (Latrobe remains under heavy attack), and revive points are working fairly well. The Biggest issue is Pking, I personally have been Pked twice in the last day, and with the zombies outside, the human attacks are our biggest issue. It would be nice if somone could create a page with the known Gkers and Pkers around caiger mall, complete with links to their profiles, so we can all add them to our red lists and curb the bloodshed. -Nibiletz
Also just to add, pkers are not planning a large attack on Caiger on February 14th, it's a myth to get people out--Jebediah24
- January 24, 2007
- The Latrobe building is holding, and is the only building under heavy attack. Pagram library, is under attack, but really useless because it will be an entry point whether it is in survivor hands or not. Revive points are working like clockwork, but Pking is a serious problem.
- January 22, 2007
- Aside from a handful gathering at the mall and library, nearly the entirety of the zombie force seems to be focusing on Latrobe. Other parts of the area are relatively ignored.
- January 21, 2007
- The Mall, Latrobe, and Hollums are all EHB and powered, but PK, RK, and GKers run rampant.
- January 17, 2007
- Hmmm...what have we today? Well, for starters there is a combined total of 700 or so survivors in Caiger and Latrobe. Both of the aforementioned buildings are at EHB and powered. There are, however around 170 zombies outside Latrobe, presumably with the intent of eating its inhabitants. Where the seige goes from here will be intesting to see. --Pedentic 03:15, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 15, 2007
- Necronet scan shows roughly 150 zombies in the area around Latrobe, the most of which massed in the 134-zombie horde directly over the building. The mall itself is largely ignored. As of now, there are 96 survivors inside the Latrobe Building. --Tokosan 22:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Buildings immediately surrounding Caiger Mall are beginning to experience more, and more extreme break ins.. and survivors being dragged outside to be eaten. Radio chatter continues as zombies try to gather human "slaves" for their needs. --MrAushvitz 02:46, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- As of 11pm EST, there are 583 survivors in Caiger with an additional 100 in Latrobe. My necronet scan showed 143 zombies outside Latrobe with an additional 10 or so in the general mall area. The mall, Latrobe, and surrounding buildings are all EHB and most of them are powered. --Pedentic 04:19, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 14, 2007
- Don't worry we're on it... Lathrobe ain't going down... You see some of the survivors in there... That us baby!!! ;D We'd also like to thank everyone thats working hard to hold Caiger. You guys rock and we at the DHPD are happy to fight alongside you, even if some of you hate us... oh well... ...umm, want a beer? --Marty Banks (aka. Mundane) <DHPD> 17:59, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 11, 2007
- 206 zombies outside Latrobe, and only 85 survivors to deal with frequent break-ins. Will the zombies take Caiger again? Or will the survivors of Caiger finally realize the importance of, and defend Latrobe? No, probably not. -Cap'n Silly 18:14, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Today there were 13 zombies in Holloms, also later some in Latrobe. They are gone now but it is always nice to have visitors. -GrownUpSurvivor 02:21, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 8, 2007
- With the outside corners of Caiger almost completely empty, it would seem the zombie force has shifted its attention toward Latrobe. Most of the Survivors inside, either out of ignorance or laziness are still in Caiger, however. Latrobe's survivor count is slowly increasing, and it will have to if it's to hold.
- January 7, 2007
- There are currently 505 survivors in Caiger, with an additional 60 or so in Latrobe. However, Latrobe may in in danger from the 187 zombies residing outside it. All corners of Caiger, Latrobe, and Holloms Auto Repair, are EHB and powered. -Pedentic 02:42, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 5, 2007
- The Latrobe Building currently sees several break ins per days from Zombies. With only 50 survivors in the Latrobe Building at the moment of this typing the force balance is almost 4:1 in favor of the Zeds. A coordinated push by the zombies could easily see the fall of the Latrobe building. --Gethsemani 22:39, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 4, 2007
- I am unaware of the current Survivor population in the mall and Latrobe, but I do know that there are 183 Zombies outside Latrobe and 12 outside the SE corner of Caiger. Both Caiger and Latrobe are powered and EHB. Pedentic 22:53, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- January 3, 2007
- The secretive Zed leader known only as "Zombie Mistress" was seen walking about Caiger Mall promising "exquisite pain" to local survivors. Many mistook her for a deranged stripper at first, until they found out afterwards who that woman really was. Zed forces in the area are increasing, along with survivor re-inforcements. This could turn out to be a big old battle folks
- January 1, 2007
- Caiger is still under Survivor control with 455 living occupants, and all corners powered and heavily or EH barricaded. Pedentic 02:45, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

December 2006
- December 29, 2006
- The mall is contested with roughly equal numbers of zombies outside the latrobe and SE corner of the mall as there are survivors inside. Neither side has shown true dominance yet but both sides seem to be keen to settle into another siege, this could be the birth of new survivor co-operation or the birth of a zombie horde bigger than we've seen before. hell, just come and look for yourself!
- December 26, 2006
- I slunk back to the mall this afternoon (after a cowardly retreat all the way to Tollyton), and I beheld: lights are on, 'cades are up, and St. Izzy's is back in action! There were roughly two hundred zombies in total outside the mall (mostly in the SE corner), and a handful scattered around Latrobe and the other resource buildings in the area. One only hopes that the mall can be held again. Matt the Zombie 07:33, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- I shambled in through the shattered, wide open doors this afternoon, drawn by bellowing groans. Caiger Resistance Force zombies had obviously breached the barricades, entered the mall, and killed a number of survivors. The attacks were eventually repelled, but given the small number of zombies who were involved, it seems quite likely these were just probing efforts. One only hopes that the mall will fall into the zombie's deathly grasp again. --Swiers 22:31, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm allowing both of these to remain because they mirror each other.--Jorm 22:58, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- December 25, 2006
- By Morning Christmas day - Caiger mall was back in human hands. The mall is staying this way although outside is still surrounded by hordes of zombies. Many groups participated in this siege - DHPD, Rangers, Caiger Mall survivors and others ( listed here http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Cmaf )
- Fire Brigade 47 participated in the takeback of caiger too, our own magsmagsmags created and organised the cmaf.
- December 24, 2006
- Caiger Mall has been attacked by a large number of survivors, and they have retaken Latrobe. The NW Corner of the mall is nearly clear of zombies, and has rebarricaded up to VHB. I believe it's safe to say the fourth siege of Caiger has begun. It remains to be seen exactly how long it will last though.
- Barhar Mall has been re-ransacked. Cades down to lightly or none in 3 of the 4 corners.--FyunchClick 16:16, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- The mall is contested, 25 zombies inside with 3 corners caded at heavily or above.
- The mall is almost clear, with 24 zeds in the SE corner and 2 in the NE. All corners at heavily barricaded or more. --SteelVortex2 12:50, 24 December 2006 (EST)
- December 21, 2006
- The DHPD has issued a rallying cry to take back the mall from the occupying undead forces of the CRF. The stage seems set for a fourth seige of the mall.

- About 12-16 zombies in each corner of the mall. -The Rex 3:40 GMT-6
- December 9, 2006
- Less than 100 Zombies in and around the mall. The larger numbers still reside in the mall, numbering from 15 to 29 per side of the mall. Oustside there are no more than 10 in the squares surrounding the mall.
- December 7, 2006
- 77 Zombies in the mall (Numbers thinning) Only a hand full left in surrounding buildings 3 - 4 max. Several zombies killed in the siege still awaiting a revive in St Isidore's Church and Yeandill Towers, All Help Appreciated!
November 2006
- November 27, 2006
- With a large horde still occuppying in the mall, survivors are starting to regroup in Dunnel Hills to take back the mall. But the question is: Will the zombies give up their hard won prize back to the harmans without a fight? I think we all know the answer to that. -TsakaH
- November 24, 2006
- 117 zombies in the mall, 42 outside and in the surrounding squares.
November 11, 2006
- 13:22 GMT
Nearly all of Chudleyton and Darvall Heights are under zombie control, the suburbs have also fallen.
November 10, 2006
- 9:15pm GMT
- 2:23 PM EST: All corners ransacked and occupied. Zombie Pop: NW 211. NE 230. SW 97. SE 251. Over 200 zombies outside the mall as well.
- 6:20 PM GMT: Caiger has officially fallen. The last defender to die was Heater to Little Sue.
- 10:14 am MDT: With the side over taken by the zombies few people are left inside the mall. With just under 100 humans left and over 800 zombies inside the mall it is just a matter of time before the zeds will kill the rest and finally have the mall after years of trying.
- 9:27am MDT: The complete west side of the mall is Ransacked and with the east side only housing aprox 150 humans time is very very short for the Caigerites. Just under 700 zombies occupy the various corners of the mall. Caiger has fallen for the first time in its history.
- 10:55 PM GMT: It is official, with mere hours (possibly minutes) to what every player in the game though was impossible, Caiger Mall is on its last legs. With reinforcements on the horizon, it is a race. Can the reinforcements reach Caiger in time? Or will the ruins be the site of a Barhah party? Only the next few hours will tell.
- 8:00 AM PST: Only 185 snacks left... NW and SW corners each held down by almost 200 hangrah zambahz.
- 10:50 AM EST: Zombies rename Caiger Mall, giving it the name BARHAH Mall.
- 10:37 AM EST: The West half of Caiger is gone, and the zombies are slowly picking away at the SE and NE corners. The number of survivors has dropped below 200 compared to the zombies' 630+. It's looking pretty grim...
- 10:09 AM EST: Zombies now outnumber survivors inside Caiger Mall almost 3 to 1.
- 7:30 AM EST: The SW corner survivors all died in the fight and the zombie crowd is moving onto the SE corner. Hope seems gone forever for Caiger Mall.
- 4 am EST on the 10th. With the NW corner sacked the remaining survivors bravely try to regain control of Caiger Mall as everyone else scatters. Bodies continue to pile up as the defenders are turned into mulch. Only a miracle can save Caiger now or Zeds turning on other zeds. Will Caiger be the first mall to fight back after its corner is sacked? Time will tell.
- 12:30 AM PST on the 10th - down to 540 survivors. The remaining survivors are either fleeing or being eaten. The massacre is so large it's having an effect on the game statistics, with "dead bodies" up by hundreds since this morning. Retaking the mall might take weeks, as survivors need to unransack Caiger, Latrobe, and probably several other nearby NTs. Each is currently held down by a gigantic pile of zombies. And as long as residual snacks remain - like Holloms, Pagram, and St. Isidore's - the zombies will stay in the neighborhood...
- At ten to seven, Sydney time, this faithful reporter shambled his way over to Caiger to see if the reports were true. I noticed that Hollom's is powered, with the 'cades up to "extremely heavy". 222 zeds were hanging about outside the ol' SE corner. I shuffled north-west a block, and found that it was true:
- "You are inside Caiger Mall. Trails of looted debris litter the floors and escalators. The store fronts have been smashed and looted, the shops ransacked into dereliction. The doors to the street have been left wide open. Somebody has spraypainted Caiger is compromised! Find your own safe haven! onto a wall. There is a horde of 278 other zombies here. There is a dead body here."
Here's my screenshot, showing survivors still in the mall:
The good news: there are still plenty of humans in the other corners of the mall, although this may not continue to be the case once the zeds log back in. Personally, I'm gonna continue waiting at Saint Izzy's for that damned revive. Then I'mma go pop some heads. Matt the Zombie 08:16, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Caiger has fallen as of 6:00pm GMT. Over 500 Zombies inside and hundreds in teh area surrounding the Mall. Revive point 1E of St Isidores houses 105 Zombies. BArely 60 Survivors left inside mall but one active.[[
- After nearly three weeks of siege, the fall of Caiger is now assured. As of 9.13 PST, there's 680 survivors in the mall and falling. Congratulations to the siegers and defenders, you made history.
- With breaks in the barricades extremely prevalent today, the upper left corner of Caiger has been successfully ransacked.--Gage 03:49, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
November 9, 2006
- Since November 4 (a few days after the sacking of Latrobe), the revive line has gone from 47 to 104 undead, and the Caiger population has gone down from 1147 to 952 - a net loss of nearly 1/5th of the mall's survivors, drastically weakening the defense. Shacknews raids regularly bring the weakest corners down to below 100 survivors.
- This graph to the left shows the key statistics checked twice per day, at about 4 and 11 pm PST.
- This morning I moved into the Sweeney Building and took a little look at the NecroNet and this is the current situation of zmobies in the surrounding area (pictured right). As you can see there is around 800 zombies in and around the vicinity of Caiger Mall. It is unknow how many of these are people awaiting revives. Pillsy FT 11:46, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- After early hours attacks Caiger Mall is clear and barricaded once more, power meanwhile has been restored to all four corners by the Neo-Warseers. Col.Gravis 09:23, 9 November 2006 (GMT)
- As of 7:42 PM, Sydney time, the south-east corner of Caiger Mall is wide open- no, no. As I typed this, the 'cades went back up. There are 298 zombies (and 207 corpses) waiting outside, presumably smashing away at the barricades down. No change to Latrobe and Hollom's. The revive queue has finally hit 100 (with 31 soon-to-stand-up corpses). (Lets limit the news page to news, not strategy - Toxy) Matt the Zombie 09:15, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- As was expected, the attacks happened around the same time as on 11-7 (7:30-8:30 EST). Around 90 zombies got into the NW section before being contained. As of this writing (9:08 EST), there are still around 40 zeds in the building, with the barricades being continually rebuilt. Survivor killed unknown at this time. (As of 9:22, there are around 25 zombies left)
- St. Izzy's has 95 zeds waiting for a revive, a few of which are (presumably) rotters. Hollom's and Latrobe are still in the hands of the undead. An extra three zombies are waiting at the SE corner of the mall, and "ATTACK CAIGER TONIGHT!" is sprayed. The attacks seem to be coordinated by ShackNews. Matt the Zombie 00:42, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
November 8, 2006
- As of 6PM EST, there are 73 zeds (including myself) at St. Izzy's waiting for a revive. Holloms and Latrobe remain under undead control, with their doors wide open. Lights are on in the SE corner of Caiger, with a horde of 322 zeds just waiting to smash the barricades. Without Latrobe, revivification syringes are in short supply. Matt the Zombie 07:02, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Caiger Population Report: 1101 Survivors -- up 7 from yesterday's report. One suspects that reinforcements are arriving from elsewhere in Malton. Holumns Auto Repair was secured and powered up, but otherwise empty. Latrobe and Sweeney NT Building overrun by zeds. Only the NE corner of Caiger has power. For the past two days, this reporter has been sheltering five blocks away from Caiger between reports. Today's treck to the mall reveals that two buildings between his shelter and the mall had been overrun during the night. Clearly, the zeds are not just targeting the Mall, but all of the buildings around the Mall as well in an effort to cut off support. However, the fact that the population of Caiger grew over the past day shows that outside support is getting in. What remains to be seen, however, is whether or not that support will be large enough or last long enough to withstand this siege. -- Your Faithful Reporter, Foobarosa 10:33, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
November 7, 2006
- Tonight, at 7:30pm EST, a massive surge of zombies attacked the NW corner of Caiger, and at last check, over 75 had breached the NW. Power is out in all but the SW corner.
- Multiple players have been spotted destroying the generators from inside, and have been speculated by some as zombies who were combat-revived, but stood up before the rotting body could be dumped outside. However, no effort has been made to confirm this, nor stop this from taking place.
- There are 320 sombies outside the SE corner of the mall. Latrobe is down to "doors secured".
- Caiger Population Report (Includes Hollums): 1094 -- down 91 from yesterday's report. Latrobe still firmly in zed control with 77 zombies inside. Hollums is tenously in surivivor control, only four human holed up there at the moment. Only the NW corner of Caiger has power. There were zombies inside the mall during this report! (zombies don't count toward population total.) -- Foobarosa 11:47, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
November 6, 2006
- About 45 zombies were able to get into the mall without breaking any cades as the NW corner was down to "doors secured" for about 10 minutes without any action by survivors.
- Simultaneous breakings to all corners of the mall, NE corner approx. 50 zeds, SE approx. 20 zeds. Schizmo 02:36, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Update - At last count Human casualties were estimated at about 75. All generators were destroyed and continued breakins and loss of barricades continue at this time.
- Oxley and Whippey slaughtered, about 50 humans dead including the zergers listed below.
- All corners holding with occasional breakins. Latrobe has 70 zombies inside. Simonj2 00:04, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- SE corner breached, radio and generator destroyed, few zombies entered. Both killed, no known human casualties that time.
- Hollums Auto Repair -- the main source of fuel cans for the Caiger Mall -- has been breached and overrun. Latrobe NT Building has had several days of complete zed control. The Sweeney NT Building has fell into and out of zed control during that time. This siege is looking to be a long war of attrition, and the zed hordes are taking out the supporting buildings around Caiger first. With the NT buildings gone, revives will be harder. Unless survivors work to retake the Auto Repair Shop, the lights will stay off in Caiger, making searches for bullets, shells and first aid kids more difficult. Additionally, there are multiple reports of Rotters populating the cemetery in front of St. Isadore's, which further complicates revive efforts.
- I've been a zombie for about two weeks now and can't seem to get a revive, even at St. Isadore's that now has 49 zombies hanging around, half of them rotters it appears. I suggest leaving and making a new caiger. thyguy
- Frequent small breakins through out the day. The zeds are always repelled, but a few survivors are killed each time. Hollums Auto Repair has been retaken and is under survivor control at the moment. Latrobe and Sweeney NT Buildings in zeds hands. --Foobarosa 23:09, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Caiger Population Report (Includes Hollums): 1185 --Foobarosa 23:09, 6 November 2006 (UTC) (I walked the Mall, Hollums, and Latrobe)
November 5, 2006
- SE is being breached every now and then. Nothing major.
- SE corner breached again, zombies are outnumbered though, so it's not completely lost yet.
- A few zed stragglers still inside the NW and SE corners. Cades remain under attack.
- Raid on the NW corner this past evening killed a few dozen people. The revive queue keeps getting longer...
- The generator in the SE corner was smashed momentarily, a lone zed was sighted inside the building, and the 'cades dropped down to light for a few seconds. They went back up to VH shortly after.
- Latrobe is still under the control of the horde; ransacked, unbarricaded and with its doors open.
November 4, 2006
- Latrobe remains wide open, smashed up and full to the brim with the undead. The mall's barricades are still up, but one wonders how long this shall continue to be the case. No zeds are inside Caiger as of yet.
- Caiger's been breached again, zombies inside.
- Caiger survivors are having trouble keeping the cades up. Frequent small breakins are keeping people on their toes. It seems very difficult to keep the lights and radios powered up. As of this writing, all of Caiger is dark.
- Generators are continually under attack by human generator killers. Anybody who notices a generator being destroyed by a human is advised to report them.
November 3, 2006
- A quick raid tonight killed dozens in Caiger's weakest corner. The zombie hold on Latrobe remains a death grip as well...
November 2, 2006
- Latrobe is effectively hostile. Unless an effective counter-attack is mounted then the horde will begin an assault on Caiger Mall itself. As of 21.00 (GMT) the SE corner has been breached and the Zeds have began to enter. Whether anyone inside the mall will re-barricade or "pull a latrobe" remains to be seen. 21:03 (GMT)
- There are 42 Zeds in the Latrobe Building as of 1100 EST and no humans. There are 537 survivors in the SE corner of Caiger, and only a tiny fraction have decided to help. 1100 EST
- South-east corner of Caiger started receiving some attacks on barricades and a few break in's around midnight EST Jack Peterson 05:48, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Latrobe now ransacked with 70 zombies, help is needed to clear out them out. Good chance to see action and get xp Simonj2 10:32, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Zed presence in Latrobe now down to around a dozen. Should clear up completely within an hour or so. --intooblv 13:56, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Not bloodly likely. Currently 100+ zeds in Latrobe. Bounty838 19:54, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
November 1, 2006
- Latrobe has about 110 zombies in it, at this time, while around 500 survivors are in the SE corner of Caiger. Interesting.--Lachryma 05:00, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- LATROBE RANSACKED.
- I think it is worth noting that the barricades of the Latrobe Building have completely fallen. Not even five minutes ago. All it takes is one zed with "Memories of life" and it's all but taken. 8:09 (EST)
- The Latrobe Building is now in undead hands. TroZ shack 01:50, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- 277 Zeds outside of Latrobe. More survivors are requested to sleep in Latrobe to stop any break-ins. 10:28 (EST)
- Since we're abandoning a neutral point of view here, it should be said that zombies are quite happy with the current situation, except for the barricade Zerg and Bot opposition. Humans are encouraged to rebel and join the undead horde, for greater excitement and a change from the silly situation that Caiger has persisted in for month after month. Don't help cheaters! --Pchem 20:54, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Latrobe has been breached and taken over by the zombie hordes. Any newly turned zombies with a longing to return to the living defence of Caiger Mall are shambling around the cemetery close by. 02:35 1 November 2006 (GMT)
- Uh, no, it hasn't been taken over. I'm standing right outside it. The barricades are at VS. There might have been a breach, but the place is still in harman hands as far as I can tell. For now... --Reaper with no name 03:48, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- More zergers / cheaters at Latrobe and Caiger: LSvlad and vladtweeno, Vill Jalentine and her alter ego, and more. Humans with honor should end the zergers' miserable lives. --Pchem 04:45, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- I for one am disappointed in my human brethern. We are better than this. If we can't hold off those foul hellspawn without cheating we don't deserve to hold our Glorious mall. I am giving notice that I am leaving the Mall and heading out on my own. Should I get eaten at least I wuill be secure in the knowledge I was at least playing the game with honour. --SniffleNose 10:23 (MDT)

31st October
Currently 280+ Zeds outside LaTrobe with around 30 defenders inside. The poor Zeds keep banging on the door - they must be cold out there in the fog. 17:44, 31 October 2006 (GMT)
- Everything holding, occasional attacks on LaTrobe with a large zombie presence outside. Keep the entry points as VS+2. Simonj2 22:47, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Latrobe is under heavy attack even now. Over 80 live zeds indoors with less than 30 survivors fending them off. --DanteSck 02:30, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
27th October
- Wagner Building and St. Isidore's Church both overrun by zeds within ten minutes. Twas a massacre. A Shacknews horde of about 50 steamrolled both buildings and murdered 57 survivors. The bloodbath in Isidore is continuing as I write this.
- Update - St Isidore's Church is now a home to just over 40 of the foul undead legion. It has been ransacked and desecrated. The inhumanity of it never ends.
- (cleaned up & revised entry) Tonight's events: almost 100 zombies broke into the strongest (surprise surprise!) corner of Caiger Mall. Although it's difficult to estimate casualties, survivor numbers in that corner went from 420 before to 360 immediately after the raid. All the zombies were killed, but not before feasting on survivor braaaaaainz! Later the same night, an auxiliary band of zombies broke into Holloms Auto Repair and ate some brainz there as well. All in all, it was a good night for the undead given that a breakin of 100 is more than Caiger's ever seen since it became a survivor stronghold. However, it remains to be seen whether these breakins will put a dent in Caiger's revive lines.
- However the nearby revive ques seem to be practically empty.
- PLEASE NOTE - this news thread is for UNBIASED coverage of the Caiger News. Look above for an example. It's not a place for you to link to zombie forums or brag about survivor groups. I won't edit past posts but I'll edit future ones if the BS continues.

I'd just like to reiterate that Death Cultists and Zombie Spies are over-barricading the entry points, please ensure that if you leave, make sure you have an entrance again or enough AP to make it to an open building.

Caiger zergers? Wow, I'm SO SURPRISED. Hey humans: want this to be a fair siege? Then PK the cheating bastards. Zergers include Paulssj6 (id# 487123), Paulssj8 (487882), P Falciparum (378806), and p ovale (393515). Thank you.

NE corner just got broken into, one zombie left after putting back the barricades. LaTrobe building has been overrun - 70 zombies at last count. We need reinforcements. Remember: Barricade, heal then kill + dump. Simonj2 01:42, 26 October 2006 (BST)
- Zack has been pushed out of Latrobe, although casualties are bound to be high. Shacknews is definitely going to make more attempts in the coming days, so be ready. --GhostStalker 03:57, 25 October 2006 (BST)

Reports are surfacing of a zombie horde strike planned today for the North West corner of Caiger following their repelled assault on the Latrobe at the other end of the mall. As the saying goes, those who live by the metagaming, die by the metagaming. Shacknews co-ordination is superb however, and this page is very public, so take nothing for granted. If survivors wish to live up to their name, they will have to spread out over the whole mall and Latrobe instead of all cramming into the SE corner. Recommend reinforcing the NW corner immediately. Over and out. --Avenell, 08:51 24 October 2006 BST
- For those of you who don't know about it. http://www.shacknews.com/ja.zz?comments=10171 (Official forum of Shacknews) and http://tinyurl.com/yhhwm7 is a useful tool for the mall siege. The NW rumors have credence but they may take another corner since we already know. Be prepared for anything. Courtesy Operation Spyglass.--Jack Keller 0507, 24 October (EST)

Shacknews has just started to attack buildings around Caiger Mall. The Latrobe Building is the only one I know of that got attacked, and it's in bad shape. Assistance would be wonderful. [C O L D F I R E], 21:52, 23 October 2006 EST
- As of right now, the Latrobe Building has been cleared of zombies.--Luckybeargod 03:51, 24 October 2006 (BST)
- Latrobe is EHB with 73 survivors inside. All surrounding buildings are clear and EHB for the moment.--Jack Keller 11:20, 23 October (EST)

42 Zeds have breached the Latrobe Building, to any survivor reading this, Caiger could use some help, the Shacknews is definitely here. -Tirak McAlister 2150 EST 23/10/06

Entry Points to Caiger are being repeatedly over-barricaded (especially the warehouse at 20,26). If you intend to leave the mall, be sure to check you can get back in first. [Damon Hunt], 18:50, 23 October 2006 BST

33 SN zombies in the Sugg building, oh dear. Would you care for a lemon drop? -[APWBDumbledore], Supreme Mugwump, Headmaster of Hogwarts, 02.29AM EST, 23/10/06
22st October
I just found 13 Shacknews zombies hiding in the Sugg Building in East Becktown ,just south of Caiger. They were accompanied by MisterPhoton, a human collaborator. I think it's likely they're massing for an attack, if it's not already underway. Best of luck Caiger- I'll get there to help as soon as I find a rev point! -Tiffany Willows, Crossman Defense Force 22:31 CST, 22/10/06

Here's a necronet scan southeast of the mall. At least 20 more z's that the scan shows are in the area. Brought to you by the friendly members of DARF. Thanks to who ever fixed this! --Slider Striker 17:04, 21 October 2006 (BST)
- Here [3] is a more recent Necronet scan from the Latrobe Building. The Zeds are moving in from the Southeast. That's their MO, they occupy abandoned buildings nearby to lay low, then they pounce. We may be looking at a massive strike tomorrow evening.

Shacknews is headed toward Caiger. Contrary to belief there are not 1000 of us to defend anymore. We barely have enough to put 150 in each corner. Any help is appreciated. Shacknews follows new tactics and exhibit impressive meta-gaming by attacking with 100-300 zeds at once. Without reinforcements, scout teams, and people to help us hold the mall and the NT buildings, Caiger may fall. So please, help us.
17th October
Blackmore has fallen. Nichols and Ackland have fallen. Any survivors of these losses are welcome to regroup at Caiger. With the footholds the zeds have gained, they have the power to attack Caiger, so we will need every gun, ax, and fist we can get.
11th October
All available caiger mall inhabitants are ordered to report to the Blackmore Building, [55,47], to help combat the zombie threat. A successful siege is already underway, but reinforcements from Caiger will allow us to push the zombies back, and help conquer Ridleybank once and for all.

Nasty problem with overbarricading. All major entrypoints are over barricaded with several survivors including myself stranded outside. Possibly the work of LWS Thorm (One of the PKERS I take great pleasure in slaughtering.) As a mark of him leaving Caiger for a new lair to spread his filth.
September
21st September
Large number of zeds dispersed in the area NE of Caiger after the battle of tyler lane police department. Supposidly there is an attack coming. People are overbarricading as I just found out :(.
7th September
Great numbers of survivors have made Caiger their refuge, providing easy targets for PKers and vandals intent upon destroying generators. Vigilant citizens have caught them ed on occasion and executed them summarily, but the offenders have returned from the dead on occasion after being randomly revived by trained Necrotech operatives or deliberately assisted by sympathisers. Caiger Mall remains a useful storehouse of equipment for adventurers and thrillseekers venturing forth, such as the growing movement intent upon reclaiming Chudleyton, to the west of Caiger Mall which straddles the boundary of Chudleyton and Darvall Heights.

New Group made to defend Caiger and Latrobe. Recruiting now the group wolf tribe seeking anyone to joing help fight the good fight Wolf_tribe.
25th July
Status update: 290 zeds & 166 bodies piled outside the northwest corner. There are 1217 survivors in Caiger and Latrobe. The undead, while menacing, are not even making a dent in the mall's defenses. However, continued action by zombie hunters and those who leave the mall's safety are quickly being dealt with - note the following exchange.
Inner Cynic said "Look, whatever it is you're selling, we I don't want it....bloody zombie salesmen..." (1 hour and 3 minutes ago)
A zombie killed Inner Cynic. (1 hour and 1 minute ago)
Obviously, this doesn't assist the defenders quite as much as continued barricading and saving APs to deal with breakthroughs.
23rd July
There are currently 1100 survivors within Caiger, another 150 in Latrobe and 300 zeds menacing the streets outside.
19th July
Caiger Mall is reportedly under attack. It is unclear at this time whether the zeds participating have anything to do with The Big Bash.
