Current & Past Operations

Current Assignment

173rd.png

Operation: Pushin' it to the Max-After a long period of inactivity and going our separate ways, we've come back together (with one new member) and decided to launch an offensive into Spracklingbank, which lies ruined by the vast RRF. The entire eastern half of Malton is in bad shape, especially around Pitneybank, and this Operation's goal is to create a springboard (Spracklingbank) into Pitneybank for the assault. The 173rd hopes to, within one-two months' time, secure Giddings Mall, Fort Creedy, and capture the surrounding area one block at a time. Efficiency is key to this goal, and the 173rd has instituted a new method of coordination.

Past Missions

Operation: Pker Panic- With the Imperium Must Die coalition harming our friends at Metal Fox, The Imperium, and Dulston Alliance, the Brigade have decided to rush to Gibsonton to fight for the side of the survivors. With blacklists obtained from both the Dulston Alliance and the Imperium, we are scouring Gibsonton for any hostile forces. We will engage and KOS any enemies we encounter. All neutral survivors are encouraged to leave the suburb, as casualties will run high and it is still unclear which side is winning the war. We believe this is just one battle in the fight against Malton's murderers, and that is a fight we are devoted to. The Brigade will stay as long as needed.

Status Reports

  • May 25, 2008: Much to our dismay, Gibsonton has proved nearly empty for us and our allies. However, we've found small gold pots in the surrounding suburbs. These include The Egleton Building, which happens to be the home of the Cult of The Fallen God, and other undisclosed temporary pk'er hideouts. Red Rum, for example, has been spotted by our members terrorizing patriotic Santlerville citizens. We're taking a slight detour from our work against The Imperium Must Die to make the Cult pay for their blasphemous idolatry. Ioncannon11 05:26, 25 May 2008 (BST)
  • June 20th 2008: We kicked the Cult's ass, but unfortunately, forum communications are down and the group has gone inactive. Ioncannon11 10:42, 6 August 2008 (BST)

Operation: Smoke Em' Out- The 173rd Airborne are currently involved in a four-suburb fight for the south central suburbs of Malton. Reconnaissance operations have shown large amounts of undead currently in the intersection between East Grayside, Scarletwood, Hollomstown, and Danversbank. They are targeting the southern resource-rich area of Scarletwood, and local ferals are aiding them in their conquest. Most survivors have already fled the region to safer parts in northeast Scarletwood either to flee to nearby Blesley Mall or regroup and assault. The 173rd are currently under intense siege inside the Draper Arms. Our first objective will be to capture the nearby Hospitals for support in case we need additional FAK's, and then we will move out to The Sealey Building and nearby police departments and auto repair shops to restock before heading into the eye of the storm. As always, any assistance will be appreciated.

Status Reports

  1. April 30th, 2008: What a pleasant day to end the month...I wish, at least. The square that we're operating has been nearly entirely destroyed today, and the other survivor in my building fled. There were a few in the warehouse south of me, whom I told to contact us on our forum so we can work together. Local ferals seem have to replaced the horde, and most ruined buildings are host to a dead body and a zombie or two. However, these ferals are not inexperienced and know how to put up a fight. They wait for brave survivors to attempt a rescue operation, and feast on their brains with a bone-chilling fervor. The area is devoid of locales, who we formerly hoped might have been able to help alleviate the situation and now it seems we're the only survivors in this deserted neck of the woods. Nevertheless, we'll patch it up and get the area running with a healthy pulse again. Estimated Operation Length: one-two weeks. --- Report completed by Ioncannon11
  1. May 2, 2008: The situation has gotten slightly better as relief efforts have pushed through and successfully taken St. Spyridon's Hospital and adjacent buildings with a brilliant decisive move. However, the surrounding buildings have fallen under heavy attack once again and the hospital has its own 10 zombies outside, fair game for the 15 or so survivors lurking inside the powerless halls. An influx of wounded patients were treated at the reopened hospital today. However, the 173rd has decided to move one block down from the arms to the warehouse. We're sleeping, waiting for Colonel Burton to arrive with the shipment of generators for the hospital. --- Report completed by Ioncannon11

Mission Conclusion: After two weeks of fighting, help finally arrived in the form of The Fortress and Garniss Border Patrol. With Scarletwood steady, the 173rd forced their way into East Grayside, where survivors were already amassing. Quickly retaking the suburb, Operation: Smoke Em' Out was declared a success.
