Pegton is renowned in all of Malton and the surrounding districts for breeding people with the most outrageous and impossible to understand accents known on the face of mother earth. Yes, considerably worse than Glaswegian. It is noted by anthropologists that much of the time those brought up within Pegton town limits often have great difficulty understanding each other, and have frequently been seen resorting to using paper and pencil to communicate. Pegton has a rich and colourful history, dating back to early humanoids, though marred at times by conflict both with its neighbours to east and west. The first known rulers were the Pegg warlords, who defeated the Romans and kept them to the south. In recent times, power was vested in the Federal Council of Pegton. In 1961, the suburb was split in two by the infamous Pegton Wall, dividing the area between rich and poor. The Wall stood for three decades until the Reunification of 91, prompted by mass protests in the East. Mayor Angus McFergus also played a key role in Pegton's recent history, with his ambitious redevelopment and infrastructure programme.

Things to do in Pegton
Pegton is once again under attack by RRF, along with a motley alliance of spies and murderers. The Rowcliffe Building NT centre has been breached by the zombies; whether they will be ejected is unclear at time of reporting. The number of zombies is up to several score, if not over a hundred, and many buildings bordering Fort Creedy and Pitneybank have been ruined. Suburb status should be changed back to Dangerous (orange).
*Have your wounds healed and troubles soothed as you visit Newstead Library, HQ of a Healer clan. Also filled with books, if you wish to die by papercuts or boredom.
*Stroke your beard knowingly while wandering Pegton's Cultural Quarter, featuring the Linney Museum, Gyles Library, the Isgar Museum, and Malton's rottenest kids at the Bratt Museum.
*Make a literary pilgrimage to the home of local wit and raconteur Alastair (or Alasdair?) McWhitty, Malton's greatest writer.
*Touch history at the remaining section of the Pegton Wall, the scene of the May 1958 Uprising, and the home of Pegton's Communards.
*Fill your belly at McPegton's - just like Pegton's fattest man, William Grove! Or, if you prefer cordon bleu cooking, visit L'Abattoir aux Quat' Saisons.
*Read all about it in the Pegton Post!
*Get down and dirty in Pegton's two extraordinary clubs!
*See for yourself the most boring street in town.
*Travel in time, from the early human remains found in Malton's Great Rift Valley, to the home of the first-ever Pegtonians, the Peggs themselves.
*Take a walk in the park with our local tribespeople at Blobole Park, or encounter our redneck hillbilly cousins at Weatherhead Park.
*Update your transferable skills base by taking a course at Pegton College.
*If you're leaving our lovely suburb, drown your sorrows first at the Hanne Arms or the Argile Arms if heading for Vinetown, or the Norvell Arms if heading for Pitneybank. (On no account should you head for Dentonside or Edgecombe: they are full of azz-grabbaz.)

Meanwhile, International Women's Day is being celebrated across the suburb, especially by fans of the local nurses.--Mallrat 18:04, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Revive Policy for Survivors
Sacred Ground Policy
According to the Sacred Ground Policy, all cemeteries in Malton are to be considered revive points, but the policy may not be supported by groups in all suburbs.  It is best to check the pages of groups operating in the suburb you are attempting to get a revive in to find out whether or not the Sacred Ground Policy is being respected by players in that area.

Don't Revive at Random
* Riot Control
With the amount of AP that is costs to make or find a revivification needle and then the cost of using it why should you risk wasting that needle on a zombie with Brain Rot? If you see graffiti at the RP indicating a request list for your location, or if the location is listed below with a link to a list, check that queue first. You can also check one of the request tools for requests at that location (many locations specify one of these tools directly). Requests are shared across those tools so you only need to check one of them. Not got time to check one of the tools and you don't have a DNA Extractor then you should at least wait until a zombie Mrh?'s before attempting to revive them.

These groups have been removed from the Pegton Group Listing. Feel free to re-add them if you know they're still active. -- 14:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Suburb Revive Policy for zombies and deathcultists
Salt the Land
Zombies should sleep in The Rowcliffe Building to prevent it from being taken back by survivors. Zombies should not abide by the Sacred Ground Policy, infecting survivors waiting for revives can be very effective, as when they stand up they will still be infected. Death Cultists can headshot survivors waiting at revive points, it is not too ap efficiant, but produces humorous results.

Revive at Random
The suburb is mostly clean of zombies. Resource buildings are all powered and active. Many Pro-survivor groups active. NT powered and running. Barricade plan NOT being followed, beware if you travel here and watch your AP, up to 5-8 blocks at least between last known EP's. --Dingo Murphy 19:28, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
If you want to attack the suburb, but don't want to get your hands dirty, consider reviving any pkers you find. You could even advertise your service to pkers, naturally you should keep your revivers profile secret so that survivors don't try and stop you.

De-Revivification Requests
It's safe here. Most buildings caded and lots also powered. Not even 5 ferals in my scout of the central half of the suburb. 6 waiting at the RP at 87,57. Rowcliffe and Siricius's has been recaptured and made safe since my last report. The phone mast is now active. 19:36, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Simply go to the Rowcliffe Building and "jump out of the window". Then shamble back inside and help stop survivors from retaking it.

February 24th
Northern and Central Pegton is seeing some focused zombie activity, with several buildings under attack including the NT. Infrastructure is generally intact and some power in the area. The local NT is under attack. St. Siricius's Hospital is currently out of action, though next door St. Matthew's Hospital is still standing at EHB. The local phone mast is safe but inactive. Changed danger level to Moderate from Very Dangerous, though possibly still Dangerous. 21:56, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

February 23rd
Central and eastern Pegton is generally lit, caded, and well-defended by survivors. Some break-ins are occurring, but the danger level for survivors is certainly not at 'red' - a soothing hue of yellow would be more accurate.--Mallrat 15:00, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

February 20th
St Mathew's and St Siricius's hospitals are open and operational despite regular attacks by disgruntled, presumably uninsured zombies. The Rowcliffe NT's status varies daily but at time of writing was operational with plentiful syringes. Rotters and spies have been spotted at revive points so NecroTech employees are urged to practise safe revival. Rotters seeking life should follow Rotter's Revive protocol to avoid mishaps.--Mallrat 17:03, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

February 10th
It seems that, despite the best efforts of many of the finest men and women in Malton, the RRF have destroyed a number of resource buildings, including the Cowing Way Police Department, the Rowcliffe Building, and both St. Matthew's and St. Siricius's Hospitals. Art lovers are asked to contribute to the Save Isgar Museum campaign by rescuing the conceptual artworks and placing them in nearby safehouses. This should prevent further loss and tearing by ignorant zeds, who despite their apparent preference for Pollockesque brain-spattering and spraying of blood, continue to do irreparable damage to the precious Yoko Ono collection. --Mallrat 15:59, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Pegton is a suburb of Malton, located in the east of the city.

The Pegton suburb has the following active radio stations.

Freq: 26.05: South-East Malton

Pegton is renowned in all of Malton and the surrounding districts for breeding people with the most outrageous and impossible to understand accents known on the face of mother earth. Yes, considerably worse than Glaswegian. It is noted by anthropologists that much of the time those brought up within Pegton town limits often have great difficulty understanding each other, and have frequently been seen resorting to using paper and pencil to communicate. The richer members of the community are known to prefer the delights of 'Etch a Sketch'. Despite this horrible massacre of language, the Pegton survivors have been known to work well together.

With the amount of AP that is costs to make or find a revivification needle and then the cost of using it why should you risk wasting that needle on a zombie with Brain Rot? If you see graffiti at the RP indicating a request list for your location, or if the location is listed below with a link to a list, check that queue first. You can also check one of the request tools for requests at that location (many locations specify one of these tools directly). Requests are shared across those tools so you only need to check one of them. Not got time to check one of the tools and you don't have a DNA Extractor then you should at least wait until a zombie Mrh?'s before attempting to revive them.

If you want to attack the suburb, but don't want to get your hands dirty, consider reviving any pkers you find. You could even advertise your service to pkers, naturally you should keep your revivers profile secret so that survivors don't try and stop you.

De-Revivification Requests

Simply go to the Rowcliffe Building and "jump out of the window". Then shamble back inside and help stop survivors from retaking it.
