External Military Frequencies in this range are jammed and citizens may not broadcast on them except where noted.

As these are specialist frequencies, these may not be claimed.

Closed Frequencies

Closed Frequencies require the operator to being trained in Radio Operation before they can be broadcast on. Any survivor can tune any radio to these frequencies, however.

Open Frequencies

Open Frequencies can be broadcast on by any Survivor, without the need for training in radio operation that other frequencies require. As such, they are more frequently used by groups that are newer to the game, and often are filled with unwanted interference from rogue broadcasters.
