Costumes
For those sillier players amongst us. Could be mascot costumes (eg. a fullbody suit as a cow with a hockey mask and team colours, found at stadiums), animal costumes (eg. a monkey mask or bear-paw mittens, found at the zoo), or promotional advertisement costumes (eg. a giant foam banana suit, found in malls). The full body costumes would override all other options, except glasses and boots; masks and mittens etc. would just apply to those parts of the body. --c138 RR - PKer 00:25, 5 June 2007 (BST)

Gloves
I guess that would need a new Hands slot... On the other hand, once adding it, we could have such items for it like handcuffs. Gloves would be found in Malls, Mansions, maybe Hotels/Motels. --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 06:50, 5 June 2007 (BST)

- Nice idea, I've been wanting to add some variety to my clothes lately and this would be a great addition to the choices at our disposal. In-Game items
I originally wanted to put in a suggestion for binoculars to be seen around the neck and found in the forts but then it hit me, what if it was possible to have items you have in your inventory in your description. In addition to the Binoculars suggestion I suggest that there be a new item slot that acts as a "holding" slot. After the he/she is wearing texts it continues to say "and is holding *item*." just about all items can fit in, from syringes to fencing foils, and FAKs to shotguns. There is only one spot which would represent the player's weapon of choice. Also if this is the wrong place I apologize, and if I should separate the two ideas, just say so.
Yes
- Keep - Author's Vote JD 03:15, 6 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep I like it, I like it a lot. It'd add a little more depth to what the player does for a living. Bookies can have books, hunters have shotguns, and zombies? well they have bananas. Adds a little to role playing too. -- SgtBop 08:51, 6 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep Good as long as it is strictly one item only (so nobody can have a shotgun in each hand for example; it's just too much). --Werewolf32 12:53, 6 June 2007 (GMT)

- Umm... isn't that something you should just put into your description. Isn't that what the description is for? You know, saying something like, "The young man is dressed in dirty military fatigues. Sweat drips down his face, and his knuckles turn white as he clenches his pistol in fear," or, "This half-mad ballerina wields a foil so skillfully... one might actually think it a real weapon." "This lab worker clutches his needles as though they were wooden stakes and he were stuck in an Anne Rice novel. Luckily for him, he's just stuck in a zombie apocalypse." I just don't want the clothing boxes to replace creativity in the description. -- William Told 2:02, 10 May 2008

Historical dresses and armour
Similar to the costumes suggestion, Museums, but only some of them (I'm thinking History museums only, but Kevan should decide) could have clothes and pieces of armour from diferent historical times and locations. Named Necrotech clothes
As most of us know some mall clothes are named with the name of the mall, along with the dog tags and forts. What I am suggesting is that certain Necrotech clothes would be named, IE: A Inman building Lab coat, or A Inman Lab coat, or A Inman necrotech jacket. I think this could add a bit of flavor to the bland Necrotech jacket and Lab coats. this is my first suggestion so be merciful :D.

Finely tailored clothing
A new section in mall clothes and mansions. the prefix 'tailored' 'Patent leather' 'silk' or 'fitted' would be added to the clothes available. The range of colours would be mostly limited to browns, blues, blacks and greys. These would essentially represent high class clothes from specialist tailors within the malls. For example, you would be able to have Tailored shirts, silk ties, tailored trousers, fitted dressed and skirts, patent leather shoes and fitted coats. Perfect for the up-and-coming zombie hunter with a sense of style.--Seventythree 22:47, 7 June 2007 (BST)

- Finely tailored clothing are dependend on the measurements of the wearer. You need to have them cut for you personally or they aren't "Finely tailored". So as long as there are no tailors working in Malton, all you can get is "off the rack"-- Vista +1 16:50, 8 June 2007 (BST)

- Finely tailored clothing would have to be exceedingly rare for it to be plausible. In fact, there would have to be a limited number in Malton, and they would eventually run out. -- William Told 2:24, 10 May 2008
Zombies-specific items to be held
With all of the survivors getting clothing items left and right, the wild popularity of my first suggestion of being able to hold your in game items, the inspiration of Che13, and several continuous hours of [Dead Rising]; the idea came to me. How about giving zombies something zombie specific to hold?
I propose that should the in game items suggestion pass, a zombie be able to (while standing in a square, inside or out, containing a dead body) rip off a body part to place in the holding slot. As far as body parts go I had "a severed hand", "a severed foot", "an indistinguishable body part", "a digit" (fingers or toes,) and so on down through human anatomy. Also, the zombie can choose to be "holding", OR "chewing on" said body part.
Also as a sort of badge of honor/humorous note that Che inspired me to think up, a banana could be an item too. Found inside mall food courts, any zombie, once they having come inside, will be able to pick one up in his holding slot, and then has the option of "and is holding a banana".
If you know a body part not listed that you feel should be included, add it in your comment so that it can be noted by the powers that be.
- Edit: ok the banana part was pushing it a little, and seeing how both sides are not crazy about it I'll take it out. If anyone wants to put in the humorous suggestion section be my guest. 18:11, 8 June 2007 (BST)

Skanky Old Blanket
Really, whats the apocalypse without people huddling like bag ladies under skanky old blankets for warmth? The blanket would be a category on its own- it can logically be combined with any other item of clothing. They would come in various gross / incongrous colors like baby blue, pee green, tan, grey, rose, patterned, etc.
Blankets would be found in residential areas (some towers, mansions), in all malls, in hospitals, and maybe elsewhere (really gross colors in junkyards). The description when worn would read: Wearing: ..., a (color) blanket draped over the shoulders, ...

Add a "hands" slot!
I think a "hands" slot would be a great addition to the game! Even in a zombie apocalypse people would still use their hands! By adding a hand slot to the clothing system you would allow further character customization, and I think it would open the door for lots of other creative options!
The following provides examples of some things that a "hands slot" might enable if it were implemented:
- an "is carrying" feature. (ex. you select one inventory item to display on your profile; you could set your "hands" slot to read "Is holding a cricket bat" which may later read "Is holding a blood splattered cricket bat" a la Shaun of the Dead. Or you could be carrying a spraypaint can? Or a book! Or beer!)
- Gloves (which could include black or dark red industrial rubber gloves from power stations, junkyards and factories, Latex exam gloves from Hospitals, and other types too like leather gloves or wool mittens!)
- Rings/Bracelets/Watches (in many different styles, expensive things like diamond rings might be found in mansions, whereas watches could be found in Malls)
So vote yes on adding a "hands slot" to the clothing system!

Tweed, Silk, and Cloth gloves for Mansions, Tweed being exclusive to mansions, leather and fireproof for fire stations, and leather and steel backed for police stations. Upmarket clothing
Found in mansions, some clubs and malls (boutiques). Essentialy the prefix 'Designer' would be added to Long sleeved and short sleeved shirts, blouses, trousers and jackets. Would you wear a ballgown while running away from zombies? No, but it should still be in the game. - Okay, to let you all know the only reason people are voting on these pages are because they want items that will mean they don't have to chew up valuable and limited text in their descriptions anymore, I now no longer need a top hat description or suit jacket and all the other things I've had for the past 20 or so months! The Club stuff is for those few of us that love to Role Play ingame, because many of us have done it all, or everything within the bounds of the games' system - Kill zombies - check; survive - check; run several groups - check; Mastermind the first major assault on Ridleybank barricading the entire suburb to EHB in less then 10 minutes with less then 50 people, incidentally at the exact same time the 2006 superbowl was airing in the U.S. and subsequently get group added to wiki historical groups section - check! Yes, for those of us who are still playing Urbandead after almost the full 23.5 months of it's existence, we are devoted to teh Role-playing elements of the game. Having funky clothes allows us to add more depth to charcater descriptions and keep an atmosphere of interest around us as we move from place to place. I have been running The Gingerbread Men side by side with The Night Ravers for the past 1/2 a year or more, as well as running beside Malton Tours Inc.; The Malton Zookeepers; and several other highly Role-playing based groups who basically run around, and spend all their AP talking, fencing/fighting with fisty cuffs against each otehr and all other manner of crazy things like chandelier swinging duck duck goose in the mansion party of the century earlier this year etc. etc. Allowing Glow sticks and other Rave oriented gear such as - Aqua Heals - would increase the fun of many groups and keep those of us who have been playing with such dedication and support for so long here for a much longer time indeed. Thus I vote yes to Club Gear such as glow sticks, and potentially Aqua Heals to boot!--Ram Rock Ed First
- Ram Rock Ed First and Bette Noir and Mad Girl Kiki all make incredibly valid points, this is a game, and it is a survival game, many people like to look good whilst playing this game, it's a game and we are all supposed to have fun! So yes for the Raving Fun!!!--Squidgey

Full Outfit Descriptions
When a pre-set list of clothing in that group is completed, as a reward the clothing description is condensed to a single outfit description instead of the components.
For example - Wearing: A Malton PD Uniform; A Malton Ranger's Replica Football Kit (No. 9); A Malton Firefighter's Uniform; A Paramedic's Uniform; A Private's Military Fatigues; A Special Forces Outfit; A Nurse's Scrubs; A Black Tuxedo; A Tweed Suit; A Cinema Usher's Uniform; A Malton Zookeeper's Uniform.
Further clothing description is available on top of this (if you wish to wear Safety Goggles and Clown Shoes with your Tweed Suit for example) as the outfit description just condenses sets within your clothing description, not replaces the whole description.
It's a bit cumbersome and unrealistic to have a Black Tuxedo described as "Black shoes, Black Waistcoat, Black Bow-Tie, Black Trousers, White Shirt, Black Jacket" Instead of simply "A Black Tuxedo" If you want to wear that with a Red Shirt or Orange Tie though, it would revert back to listing the individual components. The condensing is a reward for snappy dressing only. Hidden descriptions could also be included such a "Jason Voorhees Costume" for all those Hockey Mask/overalls/boots wearers.

Dog Tags / Collars / ID tattoos
One of my zombie characters, ZMAZH is in Zombies Unlimited, and has (in his description) a very durable collar with an information tag on it. ZMAZH started out "wearing: white cover-alls", and has now been killed so many times that he is "wearing: a brown rag" as you can see in the profile. Which is cool, but I'd like the collar to be an actual in game clothing item.
The idea is that people would either want to be certain they could be identified at death (weraing dog tags, getting ID tatoos) or somebody would be tagging zombies (as ZMAZH is) with durable neck bands. These items might get damaged, but they would never reach worse condition than "scuffed and blood soaked" or some such.
These items would take up the neck slot- its visable, and if you loose your neck, you have bigger problems than not being IDed. Rather than having a color, they would have a user-enterable text field (max 125 chars) that is displayed in all caps. Items in the category would include:
- A (condition) set of military dog tags printed with USER TEXT HERE
- A (condition) (metal, plastic, leather) collar with a tag reading USER TEXT HERE
- A tattoo that says USER TEXT HERE
Military dog tags would be found in the forts, and also in PDs and FDs. Collars would be found in the malls. Tattoos would be "found" in NT buildings (via tat guns used for ID tats on lab animals). Military dog tags and collars are treated like clothing (in the neck slot) - they can be dropped or replaced at will, but zombies can't pick up new ones. A tattoo can also be removed; it is assumed you ask a friend to cut off the affected skin while you are dead, and then you get revived. As such, they are (for simplicities sake) also treated as neck slot clothing, despite the rather disturbing implications.
It might seem unlikely that folks could read dog tags at a glance, but then, how do they know what skills you have, or how many times a zombie has died, or how many xp you have... 17:27, 17 June 2007 (BST)

Police Riot Gear (REVISED)
You guys were right, the whole getup was too much (too many parts and so)...I'm gonna go with the Riot helmet and Riot gear...You can either go for both or only one, your choice
This is what's going on > PDs have almost no police stuff (only a police cap and jacket), so how's about some riot gear? Riot Helmet (or anti-riot helmet) would go into the head slot (should come with the broken visor), and the rest of the Riot gear (or anti-riot gear) can go into the coat slot (since we still don't have a slot for an entire getup)...as for what this Riot gear should contain, I'll leave it to the user's imagination (missing one arm guard with a dented shinguard and so on)
Examples
- Wearing: A Riot Helmet and Riot Gear
- Wearing: A Anti-Riot Helmet with a broken visor and Anti-Riot Gear
- Wearing: A Riot Tactical Helmet with a broken visor and Riot Tactical Gear
Write down which one you like the best and again the riot gear is an extra if you don't like it just say so
- EDIT: Only the helmet it is then >>>> Anti-Riot Helmet with a cracked or broken visor --Darwin Blaine 15:00, 21 June 2007 (CEST)

- I've gotta say I like this... As long as you go for the fact that the visor is cracked in the description, cos otherwise people might expect it to give em a bonus in the game.--Seventythree 19:30, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- I like the anti-riot helmet with the cracked visor but, the riot gear wouldn't work though. People would expect that to work like flak jackets. --Sonofagun18 20:10, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- I agree that a riotsquad helmet would be good, and I don't think that it particularly needs to be broken – hockey masks aren't broken, and they're designed to protect the face. However, I don't think that the "riot gear" is necessary – Kevan has already said that flak jackets will be folded into the new system later, and really, the "flak jacket" is a ballistic vest. Any stronger body armour would protect against melee weapons to some degree, and would need to be a full-blown suggestion. In summary: riotsquad helmet YES, riot gear NO. —Revenant talk 20:20, 18 June 2007 (BST)

- Yeah, that would be nice. But I have a suggestion. Let the helmet work like clothing, but instead of getting bloodstained, the visor gets broken after a while. --Johaen 22:10, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
No(Police Riot Gear (REVISED))
- No, only because clothing shouldn't have an un-believable effect on the game. I have no problems with people wearing clown suits as that does not effect the combat or game engine, just the RP side which is pretty unbelievable anyway with zombies and such, however, what doesn't suspend disbelief to me is that a man wearing riot gear will take the same damage as a guy in a T-Shirt, which is what will happen under the current clothing system, so I vote no I'm afraid. --Ulysses Black 19:32, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Comment: Still no for me I'm afraid. If it has a broken visor, what's the point? Doesn't do anything for me, much like the broken night vision goggles. --Ulysses Black 00:00, 22 June 2007 (BST)

Rare clothing found in houses
I propose rare clothing to be found in street locations, as much as looting Auto Repair Shops and Cathedrals is fun, surely residential properties would be a more realistic goldmine for clothes hunting in the event of a Zombie apocalypse? It also has the advantage of putting relatively useless blocks to some use and encourages survivors to venture outside of safe houses for more than just Trenchcoating and fleeing.
The use of "rare" (but still believable) clothing would be employed the same way that different types of museum stock different hard to get items of clothing, and would be a way to implement some of the more outlandish clothing suggestions without making them so ubiquitous (by putting them in malls) as not to offend the more serious players.
Example, Avenues could stock "Goth/Punk" clothes, Drives "Hip-Hop" clothes, Walks "Summer/Beach" clothes, Boulevards "Nightclub" clothes, etc, etc, etc. Hopefully it'd engage people like the recent Easter Egg hunt and a great way to implement more clothing without overstocking and clogging up other locations. --Ulysses Black 19:55, 18 June 2007 (BST)

Martial Arts Gi
For those in the dark, a Gi is the loose fitting uniform martial artists wear. Comes in Black Ninjutsu, White Karate, White Judo, Yellow, Red and Dark Blue varieties. Jacket - (colour) Gi Jacket; Trousers - (colour) Gi Trousers; Head - (colour) Headband. All would be available in a selected Sports Stadium and some selected malls. I'm aware the jacket and trousers have individual names in reality rather than just "Gi Jacket and Gi Trousers", but most players would be unaware of and confused by the correct terminology, so I'm keeping it simple.
Due to there not being a belt slot, the coat slot (as it goes over the jacket) would be used for a belt. I.E. Coat - (colour) Ranking Belt. Rather than the six varieties above, these belts would be available in traditional martial arts colour ranking schemes - White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Brown, Red and Black. Yes I'm aware there's more, but again, keeping it simple. Example, Ulysses Black is wearing a White Karate Gi Jacket, White Karate Gi Trousers, a Red Headband and a Black Ranking Belt.--Ulysses Black 03:27, 19 June 2007 (BST)

Unique Clothing Rewards
Not sure if this would be too much of a system drain, but here it is. After completing a set number of actions, a unique item of clothing would appear permanently as a selection in your drop box as a reward, like the achievements in Dead Rising if anyone is familiar with that.
Examples are...
For 500 Zombies Killed - Cuban Cigar (face)
For 500 Survivors Killed - Halloween Mask (face)
For 500 Barricade Levels Destroyed - Balaclava (head)
For 500 Barricade Levels Built - Yellow Hard Hat (head)
For 500 Revives Performed - Stethoscope (neck)
For 500 Deaths - Floral Garland (neck)
For 500 Buildings Ransacked - Black Jackboots (footwear)
For 500 Tags Laid - Black Bomber Jacket (jacket)
For 500 Infections Performed - Soiled Boxer Shorts (trousers)
For 500 Heals Performed - Surgical Gown (shirt)
For 5000 Unspent XP - Golden Trenchcoat? :) (coat)
As there have been some long-term players attracted back by the clothing system (due to a lack of rewards upon reaching their optimum levels years ago) I think this system would be perfect to give a new sense of challenge and reward past the XP system, and a wearable badge of honour personalised for different (medic/warrior/builder/infecter) types as the rewards are sorted by actions, thus also promoting active play and diversifying roles for new rewards. The final reward is for XP unspent, not a certain level as some players purposely don't want Survivor/Zed skills, so don't advance past the mid 20 levels.
Targets would not be retrospective (apart from the XP one) but counting would start when the system was implemented. Please vote for the suggestion as a whole, not the examples or numerical targets. These are just a guide for a proof of concept.--Ulysses Black 05:04, 20 June 2007 (BST)

- I've already found one unique clothing item ("a brown rag") - you can only get by earning it through multiple deaths (many fewer than 500; I put it at less than 50) and having your clothes take damage / get bloody. It can't be found anywhere in the game, but when you earn it, you'll know. Point being, that one makes sense; the above ones are just arbitrary badges. Swiers 05:09, 20 June 2007 (BST)

Bandages
Found in hospitals, (and isn't there a medical area in fortresses?) bandages can be worn, either to mask someone's Identity, or just to look realy creepy.
- Head slot-bandages bandages around the face Gauze eyepatch A medical Gauze eyepatch
- Neck slot - A neck Brace A neck brace
- Torso or shirt slot- Bandages Bandages wrapped round the arms and chest
- Leg slot - Plaster cast A leg in plaster (this can be changed i guess to bandaged leg if people feel that it might realisticly be expected to have an effect) Bandages A leg wrapped in bandages
- Hand slot. - Plaster cast A plaster cast and metal brace on the wrist
- Foot slot - Gauze wrapping Guaze-wrapped feet
Now this, I feel may add something to the game, People would love it for RP, for example if you get mauled by a zombie go to a hospital and wear some bandages on your chest for a day or so, it'd add a realy creepy atmosphere to have a zombie encased in bloodsoaked bandages and adds flavour. Firearms holsters
Lets face it, in any area that has firearms, there are going to be holsters to hold them for them. I say that there should be the choice of holsters that can be used though. The Man With No Pants: Nudists in the Zombie Apocalypse
I suggest that if the pants slot is left empty, the character description should explicitly state that the zombie/ survivor is not wearing any pants. Same goes for shirts.
Yes(The Man With No Pants: Nudists in the Zombie Apocalypse)
- Author's Vote: With the breakdown of societal norms that inevitably accompanies a zombie apocalypse, pants could well become a thing of the past. Some zombies might have also risen while pants-less. Eugene the Zombie 05:16, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- While the image of a zombie with no pants would cause anyone to go blind, we can't escape from the facts. In real life, if someone doesn't wear pants, people definitly make note of it more than anything else that that person may happen to be wearing. -Zed Ed 10:38, 23 June 2007 (BST)

- Yes, but as said, you need to specify it explicity; as in you could choose to derobe at any time. Maybe a "just underwear" option too. --DrBowman 15:13, 1 July 2007 (BST)
- Sorry I tried to dupe you earlier... A fairly sizable number of zombies enjoy expressing themselves as pantless. While we can now choose to not populate the trouser field, a literal selection of "No Pants", would help us make it a little more obvious that it was more a matter of self expression than disregard. "No Pants" would need to be available as a zombies initial selection, and perhaps at an outdoor location such as a wasteland or cemetery for those needing to make a later quest for it in harman form. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 22:49, 11 July 2007 (BST)

- I have to go "No" on this one, simply because it takes away choice from those who either do not choose to pick out clothes or who do not have the right option for their look. I am, in my description, wearing something up top, but the item specified is not available as "Clothes" so I didn't just pick a plain ol' blouse. If you want to rephrase the suggestion as a choosable option among the others, i.e. "No Pants", "No Shirt", etc. that would be fine. --Queen Mum 17:35, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- As Queenie said. I was going to suggest something like this (with flesh being ripped and torn like clothes for Zombies) but didn't for the reasons above. Clothes are a CHOICE. If you have a description forced upon you for not wearing specific clothes, it's unfair and takes away the remaining purpose of the description box. --Ulysses Black 22:17, 23 June 2007 (BST)

Group Logos
Many survivors and zombies are proud of the group they represent, and want to start wearing their alleignces on their sleeves. Literally. Certain factories would have been used to make clothes, and in these factories you should be able to produce your own clothes with personal logos. - Naaah -- This is long, sorry. First of all, I don't want it limited to just in-game group names. If I want, say, a Ramones t-shirt, I should be able to have one. And a factory is way too complicated and cumbersome. Instead, how about it's an item found in searches? The best (or only?) place to search being a mall, of course. The text would read something like: "You find a cool t-shirt! Enter the in this text box." Then you enter whatever you want. The shirt would be an inventory item until you used an AP to put it on, then it'd be a regular part of your wardrobe. Simpler and much more elegant, n'est pas? --WanYao 14:38, 29 July 2007 (BST)
Hands-free Radio/phone set
Well, you guys know the drill. Hands-free set. Appears on the head-slot, like sunglasses. They are those realy hi-tech things that you get in some call centres, a cross between a set of old-fasioned headphones and a mic that links to a phone or radio. Found in necrotech buildings, offices and fortresses. As a side-note, these would appear as a hands-free phone-set, and i hope that no-one would be dumb enougth to think that wearing a hands-free phoneset is the same as having a mobile.

More than One?
Not sure if i am in the right place or not, if not then please feel free to move this to the right place. My question/suggestion is as follows, could be made possible to wear, for example, BOTH a GASMASK and a BLACK BALACLAVA at the same time?
Yes (More than One?)
- Yes, great idea, haha ;) --MK 19:03, 15 July 2007 (BST)
- For some things, sure. The only problem there might be, I guess could be to do with coding, but seeing as I know very little about codes, i could be very wrong.--Seventythree 19:19, 15 July 2007 (BST)
- Yeah, two head slots would be cool. Bandanna + monocle combo! Headgear is the best sort of clothes, and while some combinations would be odd, I can't think of any impossible combinations. -- T 10:25, 31 July 2007 (BST)
- This makes total sense for some combinations, but not others. For example, you should be able to wear a bandana on your face, bandit-mask style, along with glasses. Or one of those medical face masks with glasses. But not a gas mask with a medical face mask. Other combos in different slots could work too, but most would not. For example, a t-shirt and a long sleeve shirt. As for the "practicality" and "Kevan's time" votes, there's this in Suggestion Voting Rules: "Server Load and Programming Complexity are NOT very good Kill reasons. You are voting on the merit of the suggestion and whether or not you think it belongs in the game. Server load/complexity issues are up to Kevan to decide." --Clay5x 07:11, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes - with some reservations. I would love to be able to wear multiple items on the same area but as mentioned some of the possible combinations wouldn't make sense. Seems to me neck and shirts are the only areas where this would really work. Just imagine a character being able to wear a dozen or so necklaces? I pity the foo'..--DI Sweeny 14:52, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
No (More than One?)
- If it were meant to be, there would be more than one drop-down menu. I think it works well with only being able to wear one thing at a time as well. You have to think about what you want to wear. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 01:18, 16 July 2007 (BST)

Expand Color List
I would like to see more modifying adjectives in the "<color> list", beyond colors- like patterns and materials. This is already done with the khaki clothes. These new descriptive terms would be placed on the list with sensible restrictions, of course.(not really sure how any of that works, but...) Some possible terms: silk, wool, baggy, tight, torn, tailored, starched, pressed, wrinkled, dirty, soiled, stained, striped, patterned, colorful, faded... and so on. Some examples: a silk tie, a silk dress, a polka-dot skirt, a herringbone jacket, a striped shirt, a checkered shirt, a cashmere sweater, a wool sweater, baggy jeans, faded overalls, dirty boots, ect. This would greatly increase the variety in the already existing clothes. --Raystanwick 15:52, 29 July 2007 (BST)

- I think that this is not needed. Some of those prefixes suggested already happen as a part of wear-and-tear of normal clothing. I think the large selection of colors are fine. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 06:08, 30 July 2007 (BST)
- a well-intentioned suggestion, but far too cumbersome to impliment, i'd think. i certainly don't want to deal with all the huge drop downs it'd involve. and the list will never be complete. soooo... use your text box for more depth. but... expanding the 255 char. limit in the text boox could be something we should ask Kevan to do?--WanYao 03:56, 31 July 2007 (BST)

Wristwear
This is simple. It expands on the clothing feature by allowing an extra slot for wrist items such as Watches and Wristbands. There can be different types of Watches such as Sports Watches, Stopwatches, Rolexes, etc. Other types of Wristwear could be spiked, studded, or cloth wristbands or other types of gold/silver bracelets. Split Clothes
You remember that scene from the Night of the Living Dead (1990) where one of the zombies is shambling in the graveyard, who looks all nice and formally dressed, but when he passes the camera, we can see suit was split to make it easier for the mortician to dress the corpse. We don't have to describe past "A black suit with a split down the back" or a "white dress with a split down the back". It's basically another zombie flavored clothing item.
A formal black suit with a split down the back and a white dress with a split down the back. Found in cemeteries, churches, and a few random buildings that could be "technically" mortuaries (I.E. no location change).

The whole point of having the clothes option is to allow different people to dress their characters differently. I am not a big fan of much of the military stuff, and I may never put a character into any of this stuff either (although I do like the more punk stuff available at the Goth store), but I'm quite happy to see other people enjoy dressing their characters this way. It's the post-apocalypse, half the fun is being able to loot stores and dress any way you please, or not at all, since people have more important concerns than dress codes - like sociopaths and zombies (who should also enjoy the pleasures of fashion freedom). Padded Clothes
In the average zombie outbreak, a few smart people realise that to not get bitten, and to look awsome, one must wear padded clothing! DO NOT think that these padded clothes will have any defence benefits, as I do not propose they do, since the idea of padded clothes is purely for roleplaying reasons. And you can't really say that its going out of the zombie genre, since padded clothes are perfect for the zombie genre.
Padded Clothes would come in shirt, trouser, and shoe selection of varied colours. I would suggest to Kevan (if this idea goes well) to make it difficult to find, otherwise everyone would have one. I did not add a head selection, since there is already a proposal for a padded hat (the helmet) and it will most probably be put into the game!
If you are going to reject my idea, please give a reason as to why you think it is a bad idea.

Stereotypical Halloween Costumes
I think we should get stereotypical Halloween costumes for Halloween. I know this probably will not be put up in time, but oh well. They will appear in the SHIRT category, while eliminating anything worn in the TROUSERS category. They will be in Malls, perhaps in Costume Shops? Here is a list of costumes to put up:
- Ghost Costume
- Devil Costume
- Angel Costume
- French Maid Costume
- Vampire Costume
- Fairy Costume
- Lil' Red Riding Hood Costume (my god it it's sooo popular this year:S)
- Pumpkin Head Costume
- Pirate Costume
- Witch Costume
- Superman Costume
- Nerd Costume
- Genie Costume
- "Mystery Costume" (see below...)
- ETC.
To see the "Mystery Costume", go to the humurous suggestions page and find Halloween Costume Suggestion under new humorous suggestions. It'll be pretty self-explanatory:P. Lol... --Vezira 17:55, 30 October 2007 (PDT)

Western Attire
A city the size of Malton ought to have at least one shop carrying "western" attire, even if it isn't in the U.S. or Canada. Also, odds off there's at least one nightclub in the city that catered to the country & western crowd, and certainly some "rockabilly" types as well. You can already find cowboy hats at the hat shop, but there ought to be a few more options available for all the cowboys and cowgirls out there:
- Neck:
- A gold bolo tie
- A silver bolo tie
- A turquoise bolo tie
The colors here refer more to the metal clasp that holds the tie together, not the string itself.
- Shirts are probably fine, although you could possibly add "a plaid western shirt" and "a (color) western shirt" if you were so inclined.
- Jackets:
- A brown fringed jacket
- A black fringed jacket
- A blue denim jacket (I seriously can't believe denim jackets haven't been implemented!)
You will note the conspicuous absence of the "Coats" category, because traditional dusters are too close to a trenchcoat for comfort. You could probably shoehorn "a (color) poncho" in here, though.
- Trousers:
- A pair of black leather chaps
- A pair of brown leather chaps
- Footwear:
- A pair of brown western boots
- A pair of black western boots
Western gear would only be available in one mall, like the punk gear and the hats and what have you. I know there will be naysayers who don't think it's necessarily themely, but even a cursory google search will reveal that the U.K. has a dedicated country music scene, and hey, cowboys vs. zombies! Plus, anyone going for a "biker" aesthetic would find the chaps and denim handy, I'm sure.
ETA: I know that bolo ties and ponchos are duped, but they fit, thematically, with the rest of the suggestion. HooperX 19:38, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Fingerless/'Hobo' Gloves
For that instant hobo look! Or emo/goth seen as many shops in England sell these I think they wouldn't be frowned upon for UD too much right? The idea of wearing a pair of nice warm pair of fingerless gloves while doing a raid or clawing at a harman seems like a good idea to me.
They would be avaialble in all malls and those marked with a (+) only in the goth store of Ackland Mall.
Colours
- Black woollen
- Green woollen
- Multi coloured woollen
- Black Leather (+)
- Brown Leather (+)
- Black and white stripey (+)
- Black and red stripey (+)
- Black and purple stripey (+)
I don't mean to discriminate against anyone by calling them 'hobo' gloves, but that seems to be the nam that they have picked up around my area of England, if these make it through voting then I think that fingerless gloves would probably be better as a description, but I don't mind either way.
Also I don't think this is a dupe of the gloves suggestion, but I think these should be implimented as well. Acoustic Pie 20:21, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Belts
A new clothing category: BELTS
To start out with, belts would come in leather (in future, people could suggest other materials). They would also come in various colors: black, brown, dark brown, and tan. Just for clarification, this would be your standard, metal buckle belt that you'd use to hold up your pants.

Right, moan over. Time for the suggestion. Backpacks will require a new slot for Accessories to be created, this means that more stuff can be added as time goes on. A four piece outfit involving:
1)Giant red clown shoes,
2)A curly red wig,
3)Baggy, multicoloured clown pants,
4)Baggy, multicoloured clown shirt.

SWAT Team Uniform
The SWAT uniform would most likely be found in Police Departments or maybe Forts, It includes a:
Black PASGT Helmet (Head), Protective Eye Goggles (Face), Black SWAT BDU Shirt (Shirt), Black SWAT HMPE Vest (Jacket), Black SWAT Cargo Pants (Trousers), Black Combat Steel-Reinforced Boots (Footwear)
These would be very logical items in the city of Malton just because most Police Departments will have a SWAT Team and most of them being former Military I wouldn't think it would be to much of a stretch to believe that these uniforms might also end up being on a Military Fort. --Dante GunZ

Beach Wear
Sometimes it's warm outside. Sometimes people go to the beach. With a complete lack of swimming trunks, flip flops, arm floaties and the like (okay, maybe not arm floaties), it's no wonder the city is such a gloomy place. For what it's worth, this suggestion does not include womens' swimwear. While the lack of loose clothing actually makes it semi-viable in this sort of setting, it's just asking for trouble with most of this playerbase.--Canopus 18:07, 9 April 2008 (BST)
